I had a membership so I could swim since I can't work out. The pool is nice and there is a hot tub, and I really enjoyed both. The staff is friendly.
The main reason I stopped going was because of the lack of privacy at night. I understand wanting folks to see inside the gym at night because it entices people to join to work out, and there usually a lot of people working out.
However, the pool is in the back, separate from the gym, directly facing a dark alley that connects to the street. There are several tall skinny windows that face this alley and no shades.
During the day there are a lot of people swimming so it's no big deal. At night if you are the only person or two people in the pool it's uncomfortable because the inside is lit up and you can't see outside. It's like a handwritten invitation for someone with bad intentions. I like the facility otherwise, and I would go back if they fixed this issue.

Was a member for years until amenities started disappearing. I come straight from work and I run on the treadmill and sweat and wipe it out of my eyes with a rag or paper towel from the bathroom. First the rags disappeared and now there are no paper towels in the bathroom. It’s still a good gym, but the luxuries afforded are quickly becoming scarce

We take swim with miss Gloria and she does great with the babies and is flexible to teach multiple age levels at the same time. My daughter could go under water, kick herself to the surface, float on her back, forward and backwards kick, and swim with her arms ( with assistance) at 12 months old.
Yes. Your baby will go under the water but that's the only way they will learn. My daughter loves it now and everytime she sees water she says swim swim swim!

Please warm up the pool though!!! Everyone I've ever spoken to about new millennium complains about how cold the pool is...even the teachers!

I’ve been to many gyms in North Carolina and NMF by far is the best gym. The website doesn’t do it justice. Go visit the facility. It’s not a hundred dollar a month cardio center filled with influencers like O2 fitness. NMF is a great gym for all levels of training.

Mrs. Gloria is a master coach, master teacher who has contributed incalculable measure to improving water safety and comfort for our family. She is confident and makes you feel at ease during the lesson teaching your baby water safety and survival skills. Great little gym. Has all the things you could ask for in a fitness center. Staff is friendly and the place is kept very clean. Recently installed a ton of new equipment and renovated the entire facility. Price is higher than a PF gym, but offers so much more. Even had a little outdoor basketball court (not regulation size though).

Best gym I have used. You have the ability to do a physical workout with equipment, martial arts, classes, and a swimming pool. There is a women's only area that is excellent. Staff is nice and knowledgeable. Clean! I have witnessed the cleaning crew at night. They did an amazing job, in my opinion. The 24-hour anytime usage option is a plus; someone with an awkward schedule or prefers after hours would benefit. People will be people, but I have yet to have a negative situation with someone. (knock on wood) All ages and sizes use the gym from beginner to professional. My favorites are the sauna and hot tub after a workout. Showers and smoothie bar are available as well.

NMF is awesome. Their clientelle is all very kind. You could walk up to anyone in the gym to ask for a spot or to ask a question, and they'd be happy to help. The owner is very nice too. I asked if he could replace a couple of handles that had broken even though there were a bunch of alternatives, and replacements were ordered on rush. There are more machines and weights than the Gold's gym I used to go to. Women's only section, a section where chalk is permitted, classes, MMA training, a pool and hot tub... the place is absurdly good. Prices are great, too. Military and police/first responder discount if I remember right. 10/10.

Great gym. A lot of options for a varied workout. Machines, dumbbells, treadmills, stair climbers and the like. That also have a barbell "pit" for bodybuilders and powerlifters.

They even have a pool and a hot tub if you're willing to pay a little extra to use them.

I love going here and I'd recommend it to anyone.

Just like any gym membership, it's only worth it if you actually use it!

My wife and I have our daughter who is 18 months old enrolled in swim classes with Mrs. Gloria. She is fantastic. She knowledgeable, personable, child friendly, and has a great bedside manner. She is teaching our daughter among so many others how to be safe in the water and that is the most valuable thing we can teach her at the juncture in her life. Gloria in amazing. We love her

Just unsubscribed my child from “Baby learn to swim” class
Reason: as we went to our third day of class, my baby was crying, attached on me and trembling (water is cold in the pool) so she didn’t want to do more. The teacher came and ask me to give her my baby because she wanted to do an exercise. I said to her “ she is crying, and attached to me, she doesn’t want” and her answer was : but you are stronger than her” I still gave her my crying baby and thought she would try to calm her down and then do the exercise, but she didn’t.. she throwed my screaming 17 months old daughter into the water.
I was just under shock and left the class.
I bet she wouldn’t like it if someone stronger than her would throw her to the pool, but she could do it to my daughter?

They teach under old teaching methods.
Complaining was also not helpful, the owner didn’t really see the problem and just offered me the money back.

I do like this gym and all the amenities it has to offer as someone who desperately needs to get in shape, but to charge an enrollment fee of $40 to make signing up $80 is ludicrous. I want to know what the fee is for. You sign up online. What kind of work is being put in on the gym’s end that would suffice a $40 enrollment fee. I want to be part of a local gym and give my money to a local gym, but to charge fees like that is ridiculous.

Have been pleasantly surprised how good this gym is. Was accustomed to the big franchise gym, 24 Hour Fitness in California.
Moved to Mebane and thought NMFC Fitness wouldn't be able to compare. I was wrong!

Daughter is improving her swimming skills here. I like them for this. We aren’t a part of the actual club though.
I would, but I like to take classes and they don’t offer them when I would need to take them.

A side note: bring shorts. The air is so damn hot sometimes in here because the water is cooled off. I found myself dipping the bottom of my legs in the pool just to cool off.

Before my move to the coast, I was a member here for about a year. The cost is a bit more than planet fitness, but you get what you pay for. The atmosphere is so welcoming and comfortable and this gym has all the equipment you could ever need. When I was a member, they only had 2 squat racks and during my recent visit, I found that they updated the gym drastically! Whether you’re a CrossFit athlete, bodybuilder, or just the average gym-goer like myself, they have what you need here.

The owner definitely cares about this place and visits quite frequently. I recently came into town because I had to evacuate from Hurricane Dorian. The owner allowed me to use the gym at no cost during my stay here and I am extremely grateful for that. I wish we had gyms like this where I live now. I sure do miss New Millennium!

It may be a nice place and well maintained, it's also overpriced because it's the only place in town especially the only pool in town. You pay extra for a pool that every time you go in, most of the lanes are taken up with swimming classes for some swim team. Any excuse to prevent members from using the pool will be taken. They also seem to be greedy because they lie about payments when you want to close your account and charge you an extra month. Jerks.

No judgment. A place where friendship develop. Absolutely love the fitness classes. The pool is my favorite part of the Center. Enjoy the smoothie bar. Plan to try the karate classes next. Very disappointed! My membership was for the pool only. For the month of December the pool was closed due to painting, understand the closure. Was excited to get back in the pool after the first of the year only to review the pool schedule and pool is basically booked ever weekday with recreation swimming, swim lesson, and then swim team practice, leaving no time for anyone to go swim laps after getting off work at 5. When I called to cancel and explain my reasoning, all I was told was ok thanks, and we have cancelled your membership affective end of month. SMH

My husband and I are both bodybuilders and this is the best gym we have ever worked out in.... And we have visited many gyms all around the country! We moved closer to the Raleigh area to be closer to our work and the area we live in now severely lacks good gyms. We reminise often about how we want to move back to Mebane for this awesome gym. All the equipment you could want with a pit area for loud music and heavy lifting, a few studio areas where we could practice posing and the dumbells were nice and heavy.
