We had a great time! They offered us help at every turn from the set up to the break down and she was super nice! We had a 30 minute set up, an hour in the gym that seemed to go by really fast the kids were having so much fun they almost turned down cake… almost. I would recommend purchasing the extra 30 minutes if your littles have as much fun as ours did. That was the only thing we would have done differently. Thanks Old Town Gym for a great 4th birthday party location!

We recently attended a birthday party for a friend in my son’s class. The kiddos had a great time. They had free time to choose what they wanted to play with (coaches on the gym floor supervising) and then had time for group games and activities led by the coaches. I even got to play myself! Afterwards, the kiddos enjoyed cake and snacks in the lobby. My kids asked when they could do it again and asked if they could have their own birthday parties here. Would definitely recommend!

We hosted a birthday party here and we were so disappointed. We were told we'd have a coach that would do obstacle courses, games, or engaging activities with the kids. The coach, Nicole, did not interact with the kids at all. She was on her phone the majority of our party.

She shuffled everyone back into the lobby roughly 40 minutes before the end of the party. We sang happy birthday and passed out a few cupcakes, but the kids were all just itching to get back in and play. We realized the door was locked and all the lights in the gym were off?!?!

We looked for Nicole for several minutes and finally saw she was standing in the dark gym again on her phone! We knocked on the door and asked if the kids could continue to play as we still had about 30 minutes left in our time slot and she declined explaining that they could not play after eating. (Most of the kids hadn't even eaten)The kids were upset and restless and one of my little birthday boys was crying.

The communication was terrible and we would not have done the cupcakes if we knew that meant playtime was over. I had high hopes as we saw so many great reviews and my boys liked the open gym there on the weekends. Maybe it depends on the coach you get, but based on this experience we will not be back.

We threw a birthday party here for my cousin, and the whole experience was incredibly disappointing — especially considering the $200+ price tag. The party was for toddlers (around 3 years old), and they were only allowed to play for about 45 minutes. After that, they were shuffled into a room for cake and singing — but weren’t even allowed to go back and play afterward.

The party is supposed to be 1.5 hours, but nearly half of that time was spent sitting in a room doing nothing. On top of that, the staff member in charge just stood around and did nothing to help or engage the kids, and they even started cleaning up 10 minutes before our time was up — clearly trying to rush us out. They seemed bothered to even have the party going on in the first place and had an attitude the whole time.

This place is absolutely not worth it. Don’t advertise a fun time if you're going to cut corners and push people out early. Save your money and go somewhere that actually cares about creating a good experience for kids and families.

I’m very surprised to see one star ratings on here… I would most likely ignore them if I were you! This place is phenomenal. We are so blessed to have found OTGA! My daughter learned more in a week here than she has in the past 6 months she was attending at the crappy Clemmons gymnastics. OTGA coaches are highly experienced and great, the coach to student ratio is phenomenal and not to mention they are a veteran owned business who loves to give back to the community. As veterans ourselves we love to support other veteran owned family businesses! We are very happy here and look forward to my daughter progressing and learning more skills here as she is getting ready for pre team. If you’ve been hesitant about trying here based on false reviews I suggest you ignore them and give them a try! They are the best in the area and super affordable.

I’m a full time nanny and we love coming here in the mornings for playgroup! The staff is kind and welcoming - always greeting us when we enter and leave. The equipment is clean and well taken care of, always a variety of things for the kids to play with and explore. I initially had high hopes for this place, but I’ve become increasingly concerned with the treatment of African American children, including my child. Unfortunately, I’ve noticed a pattern where there seems to be unequal treatment, with African American kids not receiving the same level of attention and support as their Caucasian peers. The coaches who were there when we first started were wonderful, but since their departure or different schedules, the new staff does not seem to prioritize inclusivity or fairness. I’m saddened to say that I will be seeking a different program for my child, and I hope this feedback encourages the management to reflect on these issues and work towards creating a more inclusive environment for all children

My son just had his birthday party here and it was fantastic. Angela was wonderful and leading a parachute activity was such a special ending to a fun filled party. All of the parents and all of the kids fully enjoyed themselves. The room is open- with easy eyesight on the kids as they run around and parents actually got to socialize a little which is a rare treat. Kids had a blast. Owner introduced himself and helped w music and was super nice. I’ll be looking into their playgroups and events. Everything was super clean too. Love the large area used to eat with 4 dining tables- super spacious.

My daughter just started attending Old Town Gymnastics and I must say that as far as first impressions go they knocked it out of the park! From the moment the class begun the coaches gave the kids their undivided attention! The course proved to be both structured and fun for the students. The owner Alex was even kind enough to give us a tour of the property and provided some insight to all of the additions that they’ll be making soon. My daughter is a student here and she was at another gym some time ago and as far as skills go, they’re learning more but the front desk person isn’t very approachable in my opinion, Maybe others get a different vibe. I just tell my daughter to learn her skills and not to worry about any weird vibes.

I absolutely love this place and the staff! They have taught our boy so much and he loves it. My only suggestion would be for the same price to have 45 minute classes instead of one hour. Gives some time in between for cleanup and getting out of the parking lot without being in contact with so many more people and germs. Just my two cents. Otherwise it’s a great place!!!!

We have all four of our kids at Old town Gymnastics and this place has literally been a Godsend for them. They have learned how to work as a team, challenge themselves to try new things, listen to their coaches, and how to face difficulties with confidence and grace. Not only did they open their doors to our mom group last minute, staff was friendly, engaging, and all around awesome! We had a wonderful Easter egg hunt and free play for all of our kiddos and parents even joined in! Everyone loved it!!! I just wish it was closer to home but it was well worth the drive.

I am in a small-ish but amazing mom's group called Momtribe of Winston Salem. We were hosting our 3rd annual Easter egg hunt this year but the weather forecasted rain. Instead of moving our date, while we were on a typical playdate at Old Town, we asked the owner, Alex if we could use the facility. We were able to book our group 3 days prior to our Easter egg hunt!

Our group had an amazing time and coach Wayne was there to assist with everything we needed. All of our group said it was a great to do the hunt there and our kiddos had an absolute blast. They got to hunt eggs and then they got play.

We usually go there for morning playdates and having birthday parties there but this experience has elevated our already high thoughts of the facility and staff.

We love Old Town Gymnastics and love the staff there. As a veteran myself, it makes me even happier to know this level of care and service is coming from another veteran.

Don't walk, run to this place for your gymnastics and playdate needs! You'll probably run into members of our momtribe!!!

We have family who live in the Winston area and when we visit them in the summers we take our daughters to Old Town Gymnastics. My girls absolutely love the open gym time (if you’ve got young kids this is a great and affordable activity to do with them!) and my oldest is able to join in on classes and clinics to keep up with things while we’re away from home. I’ve really appreciate that they’ve let us join while we’re in town and been flexible with us. The coaches are so helpful and great with the kids and we feel thankful to be a part of the OT Gymnastics family, even if it’s only for a short time each year.

Our daughter took classes at another local large gym and paid so much money for years and years. Honestly she learned most of what she learned by teaching herself on YouTube and from her dance school. We signed up for tumbling at old town and after two classes with Coach Kathy and Mike she learned her back handspring for the most part!! They are patient and kind- critique and teach1-the kids who are mostly the cheer team are encouraging and fun! She is loving it!

We had a birthday party for our 4 year old here. There were 11 kids around that age. The gym set up an obstacle course and did a parachute activity with the kids. The trampoline was very popular. Small town business. The owner is always around making sure things are running smoothly. All the staff are sweet and patient with my kids. We’ve been going for about 6 months now and I am seeing definite improvement in my children’s performance. My daughter in particular is not very athletic and this has been phenomenal for her in learning how to move her body and build better coordination.

My daughter enjoys going to her gymnastics class every week. The coaches are always out assisting the students and I think they do a wonderful job. The price isn't bad compared to other gyms and they offer both casual and competitive classes. They do a good job of keeping everything sanitized and keep plenty of hand sanitizer handy. It's easy to keep up to date with what's going on between their Facebook page, their monthly emailed newsletters, and their weekly announcements in person from the owner. We made a good choice in picking this gym

Ok so what had happened was is ... im from out of town and came to see a friend who is a Dance instructor at Old Town Dance & Cheer which is on the opposite side of the plaza right where you turn the corner the owner's wife at the gym noticed i was lost and i told her my cause for the visit and she walked me to the proper location but i noticed everyone in that gym seemed to be having fun with what they were doing .. anywho when i came in there was a class which appeared to be ballet (im a guy it all looks the same..) after watching and waiting for my friend i noticed the girls were really taking on the instruction pretty well and it sorta lit a fire in my frozen bottomless heart to see their smiles when they did things right. The environment was a very positive one it had the right amount of instruction and fun. Ms Key would work with the girls on the side doing Simon says while integrating proper technique as the main teacher would work with each student one by one and one by one the little group gets bigger i thought the rotation was smart. anywhoo afterwards Ms Key had a hiphop class and and i was able to partake .. in doing so i had first hand experience from a brilliant instructor.. im very uncoordinated and have a back injury but i was able to keep up. The other kids and teens and adult for this particular class on this particular day had the routine down in minuets.. if i lived there in North Carolina id love to join a class or 2 a week.

The teachers are professional, but relaxed at the same time, in a good way. I’ve seen them pointing out the good potential of a boy in my kids’ beginner class, recognizing that he can be moved to the next level. It’s also a great price, the best around. Also, I really like the down-to-earth owner. He fills in teaching when necessary, and he’s got a great personality. As good of a price that it is, I had to discontinue going for awhile, but I will be anxious to return with my three kids. This is definitely where I will go.

We absolutely love this place! We have been members for a year now and the staff here is absolutely amazing, our daughter (6 y/o) loves them all, is learning a lot, and always has a great time! They shutdown temporarily due to the Covid thing but since re-opening, the staff are on top of things, perform temp checks, wipe down the equipment and supply hand sanitizer. We were so glad when they re-opened because our daughter is making a lot of new friends here and really looks forward to it. Thanks guys!! :)

I can not say enough about this place. We have tried other places where we just felt like a number and not to mention not being able to see my child due to other classes going on at the same time. This place has so many classes and the schedules do not interfere with others. It is small enough yet very powerful to be personal and learn abundantly. The whole staff is friendly and truly care about the future of the gymnasts. Our personal experience doing private lessons is wonderful. We had Val and she took time out of her own schedule to teach my child. The skill level is amazing. The prices are reasonable. They are also super easy to work with! Words can not really explain how much my kids and I love this place! My kids have gained everything from Physical strength to strength in other aspects, they have made so many friends here and honestly so have I as a parent! My kids have learned to listen and focus to accomplish different skills. The coach’s are great with children of all ages! And the birthday parties are always a blast! I’ve thrown multiple parties and attended probably 5 others at the gym and it’s always great, was less stressful for parents and the kids have a blast no matter the age! Our four-year-old son chose to have his birthday party at Old Town Gymnastics, and we are so glad he did. Not only was it significantly less expensive than several other venues in town, it was... a) ours alone. It wasn’t open to the public or hosting classes while we were there. b) flexible. Coach Alex wasn’t stressed about exact details or the exact minute on the clock. c) FUN! Our 22 guests ran on the soft floor, swung on the bars, bounced on the tumble track, and practiced on the beams. My three boys love Old Town Gymnastics.

Calling Old Town Gymnastics was one of the best things I have done for my four year old granddaughter! The time she has been enrolled has been so wonderful! We had our daughter's fourth birthday party here and it was awesome! They do most of the work, and the kids had a great time. When half of my party was late, they didn't sweat the time. They had some fun games for the kids, and then lots of free play time. The owners are very nice, and will take the time to work with your child and teach them some things while there for the party. Even my toddler was able to play and run around during the party without too much worry of him getting hurt. I highly recommend this place for parties.
