I had my first OTF class at this location. The front staff were very welcoming and informational. Cece provided a great tour and information on the gym. Coach Garrett brought a great energy to the class I attended and the class structure was dynamic, challenging and fun! The staff made the experience as a first time guest much less intimidating.

I actually thought it was a good atmosphere and wonderful trainers, particularly Corey and Sakinah. The equipment is great, the heart rate zones are motivating and the other members are a joy to workout with.
The only major problem is one of the managers, Hayley. I'm extremely disappointed in her level of integrity. I run a small business and wasn't entirely sure if anything other than a 24hr facility was right for me, so I was extremely explicit when I joined about agreeing tp 1 month to assess if it was practical with my schedule.
Despite company policy regarding membership cancelation, they assured me that would waive that policy if it didn't work out. They then proceeded to sign me up for the unlimited plan, even though I elected for the 2/wk plan, then when I did have to cancel, they chose to enforce the cancelation policy we agreed to waive and charged me an additional month anyway.
I spoke to Hayley at length about this, she never once disputed that we had reached that agreement, but simply dismissed it and chose to ignore our arrangement and charged me anyway. She's just a kid and I expect, or I hope, she changes, but for now, her word is worthless. I'm so tired of these shamefully unethical business practices.
If you know for a fact that the facility availability works for you, I can recommend it, but but be careful, they will lie to your face about their policies in person, then hide behind small print when you exercise the options they provide.
Edit: Bank agreed, OTF has a history of unethical billing practices, charge reversed.

I've been with OTF for over a year now at a different studio where coaches constantly were coming and going and I could tell something was just...off. I started to feel a little uncomfortable and decided to try a different studio. I IMMEDIATELY felt SOOOO welcome at Southpoint by the front desk staff and the coaches! Despite the extra commute and dealing with traffic to come to this studio, it is WORTH it.

Orange Theory Fittness is the best workout experience I have had. I like having a heart rate monitor to show that I am working in the corect zone. I also like that all classes are different - you don't know what youmight be doing during the workout. It could be any combination of power walking/running, rowing, and floor work. The coaches are professional and have great attitudes. I am do glad I tried this workout because I am addicted. Come try a free class!

OTF is my favorite gym! I worked out at OTF in China for two years, and since moving to the U.S., I’ve continued training here. OTF makes working out simple yet highly effective. I love their well-structured classes, which give me a full-body workout every time. Plus, their real-time data monitoring system helps me track my progress and push myself to improve. Whether you’re a beginner or an experienced fitness enthusiast, you can find the right intensity and pace here. Every session at OTF is a great experience—I highly recommend it!

As others have said, management is very hard to get a hold of. My app has been broken and unable to sign me up for classes for 3 months now. We're on "service ticket" number 5 that the front desk person submits, and we wait weeks for no response.
The coaches are really nice, and you can tell they feel bad hearing the member complaints but can't do anything about it. High staff turnover (coaches, and the area manager so far) makes me think this is an ongoing issue...

The management is poor and is never responsive to your concerns. Charged even after notifying them about canceling the membership due to unavoidable situation. This studio is sweet and smiling as long as you don’t raise concern.
Even workout area always smelled of farts and music and instruction headset is always way too loud which I haven’t felt in other orange theory studios. Would suggest to look for other studios and avoid this one.

The friendliness of both the instructor and greeting folks! Also, it's nice to not have to make a decision about what to work on (leg day, chest/back, or should I just go for a run?); the only decision I have to make is to go to class or not. I think I suffer from decision fatigue and OT alleviates a lot of that! :)

Been going for over 2 years. I love LOVE the coaches! I wish there wasn’t so much turnover. You should probably pay them better. The diversity of exercises and the strength 50 are really wonderful. I have seen results in my strength and endurance and it’s addicting. I love the data I can track on my app, and the challenges are fun! I’ve talked multiple friends into joining me and working out with them makes it even more enjoyable. It’s pricy, but I have yet to find anything that compares, so I make it work.

I joined Orange Theory with my neighbor out of desperation to find a workout plan that would stick. I had zero motivation to actually complete workouts on my own- and when I did I would do the minimum possible. As a former collegiate athlete I knew I needed help. I have been apart of the OTF community for over 8 months now and LOVE IT! It is the most efficient work out- 30 min of rowing/weight lifting and 30 min on the treadmill. I love that all I have to do is show up- and just follow instructions for an hour ! No planning out the workout or picking a playlist. I love all the data you get about yourself after each workout. It feels like going to a team practice - the southpoint location is super friendly and supportive! The coaches push me in a way I would never push myself. I started out on the most basic power walking level with no intention to move up. Now I can run for 24 min straight!!! Highly recommend!

I left the following review over a year ago. I joined OTF Southpoint because I loved the coaches & staff. Unfortunately, things have gone downhill quickly. There are too many issues to list but suffice it to say the new management has ruined this location (note all of the positive reviews are from before she took over) & the OTF experience - the ILLEGAL discrimination is particularly disgusting. The management also only cares about new members she gets a commission for signing up - after you’ve been there awhile, the attitude completely changes so don’t be fooled! Coaches are still great but you can find great coaches elsewhere. Don’t go to this location.
AMAZING AMAZING AMAZING!!!! The staff & coaches (especially Marques) at this location are incredible! They are SO caring & involved. They work with you if you have injuries or you don’t know what you’re doing (which was definitely me at the beginning)! Before my first trial class, I was hesitant about signing up but after my second class, I signed up for unlimited classes & I’ve been going 5-6 days/week for months now!

Since joining several years ago, I've continued to enjoy Orangetheory Fitness. At Southpoint, working with personal trainers Sarah Catherine and Mike is fantastic. When Sarah Catherine corrects my form, I always feel like she has my back, figuratively speaking. In my opinion, the trainers push you to be your best while also ensuring that you don't hurt yourself while exercising. There is also a good community there. Meeting new members is enjoyable while seeing the regulars. We give each other high-fives before and after workouts. Orangetheory is a fantastic workout option because people of all fitness levels can do it, and your heart rate zones determine the intensity. I highly recommend it!

I travel A LOT for work and have been to many Orangetheory studios and... I really LOVED this studio.
They had a small welcome Jennifer sign when I came in to fill out paperwork, other members welcomed me & included me in conversation and Sarah was WONDERFUL. She was what Orangetheory advertises as personal training. She gave individual shout outs, corrections, coaching and overall positivity. While my “home” studio is good and new/building a community- I kind of hope this is the kind of vibe and community they turn into!
My local colleague even came with me to a class and ended up signing up for membership. I’ll see you next time I’m traveling to RTP.

It speaks volumes that I’ve been an OTF member for several years now and am a founding member of the Durham - Southwest (MLK) studio. The workouts are by no means easy and I believe that’s a part of the allure. Our community is a community of growth. We show up for each other. We support each other through a myriad of benchmarks, signature workouts and challenges. First class is free so I encourage you to see what all the fuss is about - you’ll be glad you did. Cheers to more life!

I love this gym! I have infinitely more motivation to push myself when I’m in a group class. The coaches are uplifting and give good tips on form; the playlists are fire, and the focus is always on training for health and quality of life, never for weight loss or to look a certain way. I’ll be coming here for a long time!

Not only do you get an amazing orange theory workout, but you are surrounded by amazing, supportive staff, wonderful members, and a great general environment. There's people to keep you accountable if you need it. And no one judges you no matter how much you're doing, how hard you go, fast you run, etc. I am not a gym/work out person in my adulthood and feel completely at home here to go hard, or chill, or anywhere in between.

I am loving being a member of OTF Southpoint. I was a member of an all ladies gym for 9 years prior to joining OTF Southpoint. I was a little intimidated at first by the fact that this was a mixed gender gym and the stories I had heard of how competitive the studio workouts can be. I signed up and made my husband join as well as Founding Members. I can honestly say I love the classes. All the Coaches are supportive and amazing along with the lobby staff that makes you feel like family when you walk in the door. The workouts are what you make of them. If you feel like being competitive, then go for it but I only compete with myself. I’d recommend OTF to anyone looking for a great workout and willing to be accountable so that you stick with it. The specialty workouts are fun, the special challenges keep me motivated and Coaches like Jen (pictured in the photo), Will and Sara are constantly providing motivation. I would tell anyone to at least come check it out and see if it is for you!

I started OTF in 2017 in DC and went to the West Cary studio for about 2 years. I dropped my membership during grad school but now I’m employed and the first thing I did was sign up again here at Southpoint.
Great way to get some cardio in without mindless running and the HIIT whole body exercises keep your whole body engaging during the whole hour. AND they’re adding a weights/strength class so that’s going to be awesome.
This studio has welcoming and encouraging staff and the coaches are very attentive and helpful. Highly recommend especially if you, like me, are uncomfortable working out in a typical gym.

This is like no other gym you've been to. The workouts are structured and hard! 55 minute class of which no minute is wasted. You keep track of your heart rate and the zones you need to be in. This is for all fitness levels and ages. I am 56, overweight with health issues and I am able to do this (albeit with a ton of cursing and moaning under my breath). The coaches are great at motivating you and giving tips to modify the exercises if you have joint issues. I can't recommend them highly enough. I have been going for nearly 2 months and have already lost some weight but more importantly I feel in better shape and happy that I am taking care of myself.
