Planet Fitness is a clean, well-maintained gym and overall a great place to work out. However, I believe the dress code should be enforced more carefully. At times, some women come dressed in a way that is too revealing and seems intended for purposes other than exercise, which can be distracting in a fitness environment. That said, many women also choose appropriate workout attire, setting a positive example. Strengthening the dress code would help ensure Planet Fitness remains a place focused on health, fitness, and respect for all members.

I rarely put forth the effort to write a review but I was compelled with this location. Great location, nice layout of machines and weights but when it comes to cleanliness and upkeep of facility wow, talk about needing major improvement. I worked out yesterday and came back a second time today, disgusted to witness the same piles of trash, clumps of hair left in the same locations all across the male's locker room while the sewer line is clearly backed up as several accommodations were either closed or reeked from the line backing.... I try not to be critical of such things but man, over 24 hours of no attendance to the locker's.... yeah, you can call me a Karen on this one....

I had some down time between appointments and decided to drop in. The fitness area was very clean and well lit. The machines were clean and well laid out. I liked the inclusions of a lateral raise machine among their equipment. I will definitely visit again in the future.

Planet fitness Burlington, NC. The cleanliness of this gym is not up to par with Planet Fitness franchise standards. Today my husband and I came to work out and use the showers. The locker rooms were disgusting. There were 2 stalls with no toilet paper, gobs of hair in the floor of the changing rooms, shower stalls, and on the shower walls. The handicap shower stall in the men’s locker room is missing a shower-head and the floor is falling apart. See attached photos.

Fix the showers, please. There are four showers in the men’s locker room. One works. In another, the light has been out for months. In the third, the shower head has been broken off for at least two or three weeks. And now the handicap-accessible shower is out of order, as well.
Not to mention the missing hooks in the changing rooms…

I had an absolutely fantastic workout experience at the Planet Fitness in Burlington, NC today (Sunday!). This place truly deserves 5 stars, and I can't recommend it enough.

From the moment I walked in, I was struck by how clean and brand new the entire facility felt. It's clear they've put a lot of effort into maintaining a pristine environment, which makes a huge difference. What really impressed me was the equipment – everything looked incredibly new and well-maintained.

There wasn't a single machine that seemed worn or out of date. It's fantastic to have access to such high-quality gear.

Another huge plus was the abundance of space. Sometimes gyms can feel really cramped, especially on busy days, but that wasn't the case here at all. There was plenty of room to move around, whether I was using the cardio machines, weights, or doing stretches. It truly felt like I had the whole gym to myself, which was a welcome change.

I visited on a Sunday, and it genuinely wasn't busy at all, which might be why it felt so spacious. It was such a peaceful and productive workout without any waiting or feeling rushed. If you're in the Burlington area and looking for a gym that's clean, equipped with brand-new machines, and offers a comfortable, uncrowded atmosphere, this Planet Fitness is definitely the place to go. You won't be disappointed!

Every time I go I meet nice people. The staff is great. I get inspired there, from people working out and just the kindness of others to try to help support. the funniest thing that cracks me up is the window cleaner rights, empowering messages with some cleaning spray on the glass while I was there... one said "you can do it...: The other messages telling me to give him "two more"... and then he drew a smiley face... sometimes it's the small things like that. They gives you that extra boost.

Very nice, modern facility. Much, much better than the PF in Graham. Facility is modern and spacious, and appears to be well maintained. Unlike the Graham facility nearly all of the cardio equipment is up and running, and very few if any of the pads on the machines need to be replaced because theyre worn out. Would definitely recommend this facility over other ones in the area.

For a place that insists on non-judgement, some of the older members are full of judgement for anyone they don’t know and can’t fit into their little mental boxes. Lots of stink eye. It’s the lower middle class white members of a certain age who seem to hate on anyone who is better put together than they are. Black and Latino members are just fine, and the staff is very friendly. Not great for out of town visitors.

Please understand, my situation is unique yet common (which is a bit of a quandary). Im a trucker and work odd and varrying hours. With that being said, Planet Fitness was not my first choice. I attempted 5 other facilities prior to making my way to Planet Fitness. Those other facilities did not have such negative word of mouth rumors. For example, your lunk alarm & your ideology that your wanting the average person at your facilities, not the hard-core athlete. While these are understandable due to weak minded people being turned off and intimidated by hard work and extreme effort, these are both needed for growth and used to nurture the next generation. However, Planet Fitness was the only facility I visited with a facility representative present to get me enrolled. Planet Fitness has the basic equipment to get back to a more healthy lifestyle, so it's adequate. Im just getting back into fitness after more than a decade hiatus and an injury from a completely torn distal bicep tendon so, adequate is more than enough for now.

For the area, this location is great. But any corner of the building that is possibly hidden by a door, machine, or shadow is absolutely filthy. See my bathroom door pic for proof.

One time, the guy cleaning the locker room asked me if I get a lot of compliments on my gym body while I was in my underwear and that was kinda weird. Also the water filling station always has a red filter indicator. Idk why they don't change it. But it's a pretty clean gym with friendly people.

Not enough free weights. Hard to get a bench most of the day and evening. Lots of cardio machines - because the cardio machines are mostly empty. Please add more weight benches and Smith machines. People use the free weights far more than any of the cardio machines.

So about four months ago, I posted and said it was a great place and the atmosphere was good.
Unfortunately I gotta take that back now. Last two weeks I have been there, I've been disappointed. Little things like the paper towel rollers not being replenish and I gotta walk all the way too the cardio side from the ab machine side just to get paper towels to clean the equipment. Also, mens restrooms not being up keep.
I also keep hearing about the increase in monthly payments for new members!
The staff is friendly and always greets customers coming in and leaving .
Hopefully I can give it back the five stars soon!

This facility is roughly 2 years old. So far I have witnessed great customer service from all staffing and a fairly clean and operational equipment available. I have consistently experienced a safety concern in two areas! One is with the overnight staffing of the facility. Only one person is responsible for the monitoring of members entering the facility. When pre occupied with other responsibilities, this allows non members to enter and use the facility undetected. The second concern is with the water temperature control at the showers. This has been going on from the very beginning of this facility being opened. The hot water takes a minimum of 10-12 minutes to just get warm. Once hot (very) and you begin to regulate to a warmer setting, it goes cold. I have reported this problem with no response so far! 🤔

This facility is sooo nice! I've thoroughly enjoyed being a member here so far! I do wish they had trash cans and maybe a small mirror in the tanning rooms though. I know it's not a tanning salon, but you have to clean the beds after you tan so it would be nice to have a mirror to get yourself together before leaving as well as a waste basket to put your dirty napkins in.
