Worst planet fitness experience ever. Didn't know that I was one day behind on a payment. The app says you can come one more time and then have to pay. The girl at the desk holds me up as if the world is going to end if I don't pay right here right now wasting my pressure moments when I can be working out. You all already took more money out of my unjustly when the website says you can bring a friend with a day pass and instead they charged me $10 again. Then I updated to $25/month which was a waste(I shouldn't have had to pay the $10 to begin with because I was already a black pf member). Apparently on the planetfittness website is inaccurate and this place will hustle you down no matter what. Oh and when I noticed I'm one day late I'm already paying $15 late fee.😂 Best believe I'm cancelling after this month is complete and telling my friends we going elsewhere because this private owner is pathetic so is the staff for enforcing fictional rules.

The planet fitness at gate city is amazing! The people at the front desk are super friendly and always willing to help! They’re actually the friendliest people at any of the planet fitness I have visited! The equipment is always clean. The gym is always clean. The bathrooms are always clean and it’s a great place to work out. I will be changing to this location because it’s way better than the other location that I was going to!

Something is seriously off about the manager John at this Planet Fitness. I felt completely uncomfortable after catching him looking under the bathroom stalls while I was in there. When I confronted him, he claimed he was “just checking for cleanliness,” but no staff member should ever be peeking under stalls while people are using them. It was invasive, weird, and unacceptable.

Corporate needs to investigate this location immediately. No member should ever feel watched or unsafe in a gym bathroom.

For the price, these are really good option. They have all necessary equipment to start doing exercise. Sometimes it can be crowded, depends on the hours, but usually all equipment for your day is available

So far all of the workers here have been so kind and accommodating. This gym is very clean (and we have trialed out many different gyms). The price is great especially for couples :)

This planet fitness doesn’t have the squat racks yet but still has a bunch of other machines to make up for it.

I love how it has the pf30, 30 minute workout zone, and abs and stretching.

I love the Hydromassage and hybrid tanning booth. I think it's the only pf in Greensboro that has one. Reasonably well air conditioned, but Golden Gate has got them beat on ceiling fans.

I was coming to this location several months ago but kept having issues with one of the tanning bedrooms the doors wouldn't lock. There are a couple other locations that I do prefer in Greensboro however the one on Gate City Boulevard sometimes is more convenient. Went there today to try a different bed. Their lay down beds are usually really good. I walked in room#3 and it looks broken. Surely they wouldn't put me in a room with a broken bed especially when they have five other beds open. But he did. So I'm in there chilling about 4 minutes, and the bed makes a loud boom and starts vibrating I immediately jumped out. I waited a second. It sounded like it was going to blow up. Needless to say as I was leaving there was nobody at the front desk that I could address this with. There was one fella vacuuming, but the fella that greated me wasn't around. I was hoping to bring it to his attention, so here I am on Google review. Let's get better with safety and customer service please. Thanks.

I used to love this location, I don't like it quite as much now. This location has some of the best amenities but the cleanliness level has decreased. Most of the staff are nice and helpful but the two managers are lacking in customer service skills. They make you feel like you are doing a background check if you ask to use one of the black card benefits. Not my favorite location anymore.

I wanted to update my review. The staff here (except two employees) are rude. Lately the equipment has been dirty as if it isn't cleaned at all. I do not recommend this location. It used to be amazing it's just dirty with rude staff now.

I’ve been a loyal Planet Fitness member for years — 5 to 6 days a week, sometimes twice a day. I’ve never caused any issues at any location. But today, the manager at the Gate City Blvd location, John, walked up to me while I was literally putting on my shoes and tried to start a scene — again. He’s been harassing me and my cousin for over a month about slides, even though I always change into gym shoes before working out. I just don’t like wearing my gym shoes on groundwalk, so I enter with slides. He sees me run 3 miles every day. He knows I don’t work out in slides. He just wanted to embarrass me. The staff here is great, but i’ve even heard other planet fitness customers complain about John (guy with the long grey bread). I was treated so wrong today I cried because i’ve been having a great day today, today’s Juneteenth (i was off), went to a few cookouts, i just wanted to finish my day with burning off some hotdogs I ate previously and he really wanted to just pick on me ruining my day :(

Today I witnessed a member get confronted by employee John . John was very unprofessional and rude about the situation his language was very abusive and loud : I also would like to say this is not the first time I’ve seen him interact with members almost as if he is constantly harassing someone. It is not a good look or representation on the company . I will no longer continue to go here i do NOT recommend people to sign up . They have the nicest most spacious showers(1 handicap, 3 normal) I’ve ever seen at a planet fitness. They also have privacy stalls for changing right next to the showers so you don’t have to flash everyone in the locker room when you change.

The equipment and extras are standard as compared to any other planet fitness.

The manager with the long beard always enthusiastically greets you when you enter and leave. In fact all the staff are very friendly and helpful.

I usually go somewhere between noon-3pm, and it’s never been busy. I’ve never had to wait on equipment or for a shower.

I’ve been visiting the last couple of days from out of town, Sat & Sun from 8-10a. Gym was quiet. Front desk gentleman was nice. Gym was clean, bathroom was clean. Everyone kept to their selves. Nice atmosphere. I would recommend.

This is a very nice gym. I love the atmosphere and attitude of the environment! Everyone is kind and sticks to their workouts. It wasn’t too over crowded and I was able to finish my workout without waiting for a machine which is nice, even if it’s just once in a while. Friendly staff keeps facility cleans and working well. Only complaint is people sitting on machines for long periods, unaware that someone else would like to use that machine while they talk or text on phone. Some become indignant if asked to use the machine.

I started coming here months ago. I used to go to Gold’s Gym. This place is way way better. More machines. More employees. More options. The massage chairs are awesome and almost always available in the morning. There’s always employees there to help. There’s always employees cleaning and filling paper towels. They are very serious about their work here. I left Gold’s because it was pretty dirty and the employees were never really around. I’m glad I chose this place. And as a bonus it’s actually cheaper for a membership here and you can bring a guest. Highly recommend.

I have no complaints with the actual location or equipment, the staff is super friendly and the equipment is very clean, The only reason I did not give this a 5 Star is for the sheer amount of people that go to this gym. If you try to go at 5:30-7:30pm good luck getting in all the movements you want. There have been times I have just turned around and left because of how busy it was.

There are like 6 stretching mats at this gym, tops. You aren't allowed to stretch on the bare floor. You aren't allowed to bring in a yoga mat to stretch on. The employees can't tell you who to call about the lack of equipment. There are fewer stretching mats than elliptical. You need to stretch for like, everything! This should be the #1 piece of equipment you have! What am I even paying for? I go to work out and push myself and now I'm going to be in pain tomorrow because I have to DRIVE HOME to stretch.

I called to c y money was being taken off my card because I’m no longer attending your establishment and I spoke with a Miss Amanda, who is very rude and nasty. She informed me that I couldn’t speak to no one else but her she said she was the only person working. She said no manager was on duty and that I need to call back when a manager is available, but would not tell me when a manager was available. I’ve never been treated so horribly. This is the cleanest gym I have ever been in. Not just Planet Fitness, but all gyms. Everyday that I go to work out, and the whole time I'm there, there is one or more of the staff cleaning. Not just wiping a machine down. They are doing some deeper cleaning stuff. It's always proactive cleaning.
The staff are always nice and communicative to everyone too. The gym is never too busy but usually steady. Maybe have to wait a few min for a piece of equipment or weights during peak times, but usually never in other time if the day.

The gym started nice and clean and maybe less people - not sure but I worked 2nd shift at the time. but now I work 1st / day shift, and it can be a nightmare. My workout time went from 45-50 minutes to 75 -90 minutes after work between 3 PM - 7 PM; its crazy. What really makes it worst is people texting and occupying machines for 20 - 30 minutes - you can count up to 4-6 people just sitting texting and taking selfies. Might have to look for another gym. I complained about how many people were texting and occupying machines (4 people) - front desk guy says - just ask them if you can work in with them. Another words, they didn't want to use signs, tv monitors, posters or audio reminders to politely tell these couch potatoes get off their phone or move to lobby to text. Now I heard someone (two people) on the other side actually working out and inadvertently drop some weights - lightly, and the alarm was bleeping and the lights came on. At least they were working out and moving through the equipment and not sitting and texting on the equipment. We need an alarm for texting couch potatoes sitting on equipment.

In October 2023, I used the services of this Planet Fitness as planned for my visit. However, it was supposed to be a subscription for that month only, but I have been charged up to the present date (May 20, 2024).
Despite numerous attempts to cancel, I have been unsuccessful. The website does not allow cancellation, and I have had difficulty resolving the situation due to the language barrier.
Given these circumstances, I demand the immediate cancellation of my subscription and a full refund of the charges since the date of the unauthorized subscription. I look forward to a prompt and effective resolution to this issue.

I went to the gym like every day and they tell me that I can't go because I owe a balance and they took the balance of Membership and they also charged me 25 dollars for the month and they told me to go to the bank and I went and the bank told me to go to them and they didn't solve anything for me I tried to call and they knocked down my call I don’t recommend plan fitness to anyone
