Why do you clean the showers in the morning? Its the busiest time of the day, especially for the showers. Clean them overnight or when people aren't taking showers. I shouldn't be sitting in the locker room waiting for them to be cleaned so I can take a shower at 7:30 a.m......

My experience so far with a this place has been mixed feelings. The first day coming in as a visitor, I was rudely told by a staff male member to move out of the way. Apparently, I was in the way of the scanner at the welcome desk when people arrive to check in. The male staff team member could have been more polite. After I got a tour of the place, I decided to join. After joining and coming a few times, I noticed the place/gym is very clean. The bathroom are under no privacy at all. Meaning I was surprised while visiting the ladies locker room a male team staff member just walks in unannounced. Thank Goodness I was not naked coming from a shower. It would be a Big suggestion, if a opposite sex team member is coming inside locker room to announce their presence. That is totally unacceptable. The scale never works inside the female locker room. That is all for now. I will continue to be a member for now.

Overall, they have a very good product. Clean, well lit, open, free-feeling spaces with well-kept machines.

Also good perks like the basically free tanning booths and beds, or the hydro massages and chill spaces.

The only downside is the bloated list of rules, and paying heed to hyper sensitive individuals that comes with a larger gym.

I have also heard of billing issues, but have had no problems myself.

Generally speaking, the machinery there is pretty standard across all branches however there seems to be variation in whether or not you can practice on your own mat with no shoes when doing yoga. (Seriously, my feet are way cleaner than that floor, and I don't want to step on it with them. Dont make me get my amazing mat grimy with gym shoes, ugh!)

Staff is always friendly, informed, clear headed, and engaging (maybe excessively at times.)

I began going to PF on Market Street over 2-years ago and have been very happy with the gym. Unfortunately, they got new workout machines last week. Some of the new machines are okay but some are much more difficult to use like the leg extension machine where the roller pads now rolls up on top of the shins instead of remaining lower, nearer the ankles. This is just one example... an opinion also shared with me by another member this morning. In addition, the placement of some of the new machines are awkwardly located too close to the treadmill machines, facing each other. The whole layout doesn’t make a lot of sense. I got frustrated this morning and left before completing my workout. Battleground Avenue still has the older machines, I plan on switching over to them for now. I’m sure they’ll get new machines at some point but when they do, hopefully the layout will be better than Market Street.

Updated my review to say that Planet Fitness no longer allows anyone to park their bike in the unused hallway as they have for the last two years. As I bike to the gym, I have cancelled my membership. I would've stayed a member there forever, as I was very happy. Now, I have no gym and they no longer have a paying customer. Seems a terrible outcome, but, nothing I can do about it.

This is hands down the most disappointing Planet Fitness I’ve been to—and that says a lot because I travel for work and have visited many across the U.S. and even internationally, including one in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico, which was surprisingly way better maintained than this one.

I chose this location because it’s within running distance from home, and I genuinely want to keep coming here. But the condition of the gym is unacceptable. The machines are often sticky and dirty, there are paper towels left all over the floor or draped over equipment, and many of the treadmills and stair masters are either broken or in poor condition. There aren’t enough yoga mats, and there’s barely any space to stretch or do bodyweight/strength exercises without machines.

It honestly feels like this location has been neglected. It really sucks to have a gym so close to home but feel like I have to go elsewhere to get a decent workout in a clean, functional space.

My account has been illegally drafted, after a three month hold was placed on the account in the amount of 23.06$ and $15.00. This happened 3 days after subsequently. I went and canceled my account because they illegally tried to draft by account while it being on a hold. I have called up there multiple times and it has been yet to been resolved. This is unlawful and needs to be corrected immediately. I have made several calls up there to get this resolved and nothing, but excuses have come from it.

Long story short, my account was supposed to be cancelled twice but was frozen instead just because the manager is careless. I called back in Nov/2023 to ask why I was charged although my membership was supposed to be canceled! The manager admitted that it was supposed to be cancelled and refunded me.

6 months later, I was charged AGAIN and called him back to discover that he froze my account AGAIN for medical reasons!! He refused to refund me this time (although he previously admitted that my membership should have been cancelled). On the top of that, he hang-up on me at the end of the call and when I called him back to ask why he did that, he denied it AGAIN.

A message for the manager (he said his name was EZ or something): Hold yourself accountable for the actions you make instead of denying them like little kids!

I normally have a great experience at this gym being that I’ve been a member at the location for three years now. But yesterday I didn’t appreciate the encounter I had with the girl at the front desk. She’s light skin with curly hair and glasses. She was very rude and a stickler. I had a low balance of $25 and she wouldn’t let me work out when I already paid $10 towards it. I’ve had issues before in the past and I was always allowed to workout as long as I paid something towards it. I was just there the day before and I was allowed to workout. The girl asked who let me workout and I told her I’m not disclosing that info bc she clearly wants to get ppl in trouble. I miss the old staff there!! And then at the end of my workout the same lady was cleaning the locker room. She saw me taking a picture and told me I couldn’t take a picture of myself. I’ve never been told that before and there wasn’t anyone else in the locker room at the time!! And from the other reviews ppl have taken pics in there and left a review with it and nothing was said back about it in the review! You can tell this particular girl hates life and wants everyone else she encounters to hate life too.

Cancelled my membership thru customer service two years ago continuously got billed monthly haven't set foot in one. Meh. The gym is okay.. but God does it smell bad. Like feet. The entire building. Even went on one machine and it legit smelled like BO. This is the worst smelling PF in the triad area but it gets the job done machine wise.

Update** while on one of the smith machines, my girlfriend asked me if I “pooted”. It genuinely stinks in here. Please add air fresheners or something I am highly considering going to a different location solely because of how bad it smells.

Anytime I’m out of town I enjoy the opportunity to visit the local Planet Fitness. As a Black Card Member, I enjoy being able to engage in what the local fitness world has to offer.

With this location being 2 miles from my hotel it was very convenient. To make it even better, it was super easy to find as it sits in the place right off the main road.

Pulling up, I love the brand feel of the PF open glass front. As I walked in I was super surprised by the Black Card VIP area. It was super sleek, clean, and had ample space. Walking deeper into the gym I fell in love with the space. Full open floor plan. State of the art machines. An abundance of machines which is a plus for me as well as everything was clean.

As I am a cardio lover, I was excited that the cardio machines were right in front of me and had enough space between them that I didn’t feel crowded at all.

I love the added touch of the channel brand being directly above the television. This helped me choose which machine I wanted to use based on what channel was where. LoL!!! Don’t judge me!

All in all, this location is definitely a 10 out of 10. From the Ambiance, to the Cleanliness, and Equipment as a whole. Everything is spot on!

As being a traveling nurse I travel to different planet fitness. I go in about my account and that they keep trying to bill me when I canceled my account a long time ago but getting charged. My husband went to cancel membership as he was a victim of a serious assault that almost cost his life, will not be able to work out for at least another 2 years, also relocated, no charge for 6 months and then boom they take money from his account, when we called to ask why the very unprofessional rude manager tells me it was only frozen, and so i look up policy for refund online and he meets all the criteria!! Its not a large amount of money, but its really not cool, I literally have to dispute with bank!! This is ridiculous and this should be illegal, they can clearly see he doesn't go there!! Doesn't even live in that state anymore!! Please avoid this location, they are franchised and the ethical practices are very ghetto and trashy!!
