My wife and I are from out of town. We drove down to Elizabeth City to see her father in the hospital, your facilities were in shambles. No functioning locker rooms, toilets or showers. No massage chairs for my aching wife, no tanning beds, no hydro beds... nothing to help my wife relax. Thankfully you had an amazing employee working. Her name was Jordan and was incredibly sweet and empathetic. She was the comfort my wife could find in this place. I realize construction is unavoidable, however there a much more tactful and graceful ways of going about it.

Nice people. They’ve hooked me up in the past so I’m not trying to be too critical. But they’re doing some renovations and basically told any male gym member to screw themselves. No locker room for us or showers for an entire month. This effectively makes it impossible for me to use their gym as I go in before work and use those facilities to be clean after working out. And my girlfriend works overnights so I’m left with the kids so changing my routine is out of the equation. So I’m paying them for a month of nothing. I understand it’s an inconvenience and it’s not permanent, however they made no attempt at all to rectify this situation for the impacted members. They didn’t offer any sort of discount or waive a month of fees. I’m not saying they should give everyone a month for free but to inconvenience half your members for an entire month and offer no consolation is bad business.

I have been coming to this Planet Fitness for years now. I’m sure I have more miles in the massage chairs that anyone else at this point 😂🫡
I have been to a ton of PF’s across the country, but this has always been my favorite. The staff is what makes this location in particular shine above the rest.
In my time there, I have seen 4 GM’s and countless staff roll through. But it seems as though the good vibes tend to pass along to the new hires as they roll through. I have NEVER had a less than 5 star customer experience with them.
They remember your face and name, they smile and are extremely welcoming, the club is always completely spotless, and I never see broken equipment.
If you’re looking for a great place to workout or even just reset. You absolutely cannot beat this PF location.

I work out forn 90 mts.,There were
5 workers inside the counter, busy talking to each others , having good time.
No papaer towells in the containers to clean the machines... members were walking around looking for paper towells .. let the place and nobody fill up the containers , still inside the desk 3 workers the others i guess were gone.
The gym was half way full, but seemed nobody care about the cleaning or attention to the people there
Bathroom was nasty . Trash on the counters and no paper towells.
... well in the positive note , no workers were hiding in the bathroom looking at their phone .

The staff is super cool and the facility is clean. If a machine breaks down, though, it takes a good while for it to be fixed. Sometimes months, as is the case for the step machines. There are only four of these; currently, only one is reliable. This is not the fault of the staff; they are well aware of the situation, but are at the mercy of, perhaps, "corporate," who, in my experience, are too far removed from day to day operations. It is my hope that whoever oversees this will step up their game.

My sister and I got a gym membership, and this gym is about 15 minutes away from where we live. We tend to go every single day, unless we are travelling. Our home gym is the Greenville, NC gym, and we really like it here. I got a Black Card membership so I could bring my sister as a guest. The gym comes with your regular locker rooms, restroom, and shower in the same space. The gym itself is very large, has a couple of rows of treadmills, four stair climbers, a row of ellipticals, and many machines to work specific muscles. We really have enjoyed working on the machines and going at our own pace. The people working are incredibly nice and very helpful. Some of the machines are broken and have been taking a while to be fixed, but I expect that is normal. We usually go around 7 on weekdays, and then a little later on the weekends. We have never had too many issues with it being too crowded. Some people are not well-versed in etiquette, but it is not enough to make me want to stay home. I am not the most fit or most skinny person around, and I feel very comfortable in this space because everyone here is just trying to work on themselves. The location is nice, too. It is easy to get in and out of, with it being so close to a traffic light. There is a huge parking lot that is shared with Burlington next door. The air conditioning is great and feels good when I am working on the machines. They have different tvs, all on different channels, and play some good music. We will continue to keep working out here as far as I am aware!

I usually go to a different planet fitness but decided to give this one a try as it’s alittle closer. This Planet fitness was ok. There was a ton of people, enough to have to wait for equipment, and the crowd meter only had 2 bars! I also noticed that a lot of things were broken. The water bottle filler was so slow that there was a line of people. It just trickled out. There were about four or five machines that saw out of order. The paper towel dispenser in the bathroom was also broken. It was an ok gym, but I think I’ll keep going to the one that’s alittle farther away.

Planet fitness has always been a great gym to go to. Me and a friend starred going a few years ago and we've been going ever since. They always keep it clean, they're always sanitizing and keeping the floors litter free. I will say it's become very crowed at times over the years, I think it would benefit Greenville greatly if they made another Planet fitness, maybe on a different side of town to help disperse some of the traffic. The only other thing would be safety, sometimes sketchy people walk through the parking lot and I know they can't help that but ever since the young man was sadly killed last year in July we have tried to exhibit more villigence. At the time the parking lot lights were not working and I'm still not sure why but I hope there won't be a problem with that this year especially as the time changes and it gets darker earlier.

Unfortunately there are people taking photos and or video in the men’s locker room, made the staff aware, but please be careful there.UPDATE, there are still people shooting photos in locker room where people are dressing and using the bathroom, literally the mirrors they are shooting the photos are across from the urinals that have no doors…have made the staff aware on 3 occasions but still no action, There needs to be signs saying no photography in the locker rooms. It is just common sense, but these people do not care about that or the LAWS concerning taking pictures of people undressed or using the bathroom. Taking pictures in mirrors you do not always see what is in the reflection.

My third visit here while traveling on business.
I explained to the lady at the counter that the facial bulbs in bed 10 were burned out and needed to be replaced.
She said "ok" and IMMEDIATELY sent a member to that bed to tan.

I didn't see any staff cleaning like I do in ALL other locations. Including this one in past visits.

Perhaps short staffed I don't know. I'll return but hope I see improvement.

After being a black card member for over 8 years, I decided to downgrade my membership to a regular membership. I was not explained that by doing so I would be responsible for a second "annual" fee. Within 3 months span I paid $90 in annual fees. This does not include the monthly fee of $15-20. $39 for the black card and then $49 for the regular membership. I spoke with the club first, they told me to call ABC financial. ABC tells me to call the gym. Spoke with rep at the gym (again) and he eventually tells me that "I shouldn't have downgraded my membership" and "we are all responsible for the choices we make." Mind you, Planet Fitness isn't taking responsibility for not explaining they would double bill me because I changed my membership. No refund or recourse other than cancel my membership all together. If you are considering a membership here, don't downgrade. Also, accept the fact that a good bit of the machines will be broken for extended periods of time.

This gym, if that is what one would call it, is the sorriest attempt at being a gym out of the fifty gyms I have trained at across the country. Words fail to convey how pathetic, deplorable, and downright unacceptable this business is. I could understand if it was a privately owned gym to be in such awful condition but to be part of a Billion dollar corporation flies in the face of critical thinking! This Gym is an insult to gyms and a failure on every level!! I have never trained at a gym that evokes such disappointment!

We are happy to offer you the oldest most decrepit machines in the business. Several are currently out of order and will be for the unforeseen future. We have two massage tables but one is always broken! so good luck trying to get on the one.. Ha ha, thanks again for your dues! yes, most clubs have a minimum of four machines but once again, we only want your dues and do not offer what you deserve. Most all the cable machines are missing pull knobs and although this is an easy fix, we are laughing in your faces because we could once again care less about you or your training experience.

Horrible customer service. I was banned back in 2020 because I didn't wear a mask over my face while I was running on a treadmill, I was yelled at and called selfish for not wearing a mask while running and was told I was "apart of the problem". They proceeded to give me a lifelong ban even though I had been a customer for years. All because I didn't wear a mask while working out.

The building is old and I left and went to another planet fitness Center for sanitation reasons and sewer issues from the one in winterville North Carolina.. the parking lot security is inadequate ever since the young man was shot in the parking lot in the head there are safety concerns need to relocate planet fitness to a safer building
