This is a review after the newest remodel. This location has added a slew of new equipment including proper squat racks with barbells, more plate-loaded machines, and hip/glute thrust machine, etc.
Most of the 30 min. circuit machines are on the floor so people that previously enjoyed them can still use them.
This gym has absolutely everything you could want or need to meet every fitness level. I'm very happy with the upgrades!

The location is great, but their website is not accurate. It lists that they have the red light total body enhancement without UV and that’s not true. It’s a combo system. Would really appreciate it if they would correct the information for the next person. Drove half an hour out of my way based on the website description

I’m honestly disappointed and angry about how some of the staff here talk about other employees. It’s unprofessional and mean-spirited — especially when they start talking about someone’s family. That kind of gossip and hate has no place at work. Management really needs to step in and fix this.

I really like the staff here except for the woman doing the physical training. She told me I was a liability and that there was no point in joining a gym because I would just end up hurting myself (even though my ortho doctor told me to) and that she wouldn't help me because I was too fragile and she wasnt going to take the blame. Won't be returning and havent been since that day.

Clean isn't the word. Immaculate condition is!! The equipment is brand new, functions well and most importantly safe to use. The gym staff Is very welcoming and friendly. I've never seen overcrowding where I couldn't get a good workout in. The location is safe and directly next to Walmart. Always great when looking for that post workout meal

I have been to other fitness facilities and Planet Fitness is exceptional. Their team follows a cleaning schedule, so each facility is clean. I chose the Black Card membership because I travel quite a bit. I think it's the best deal in town!

I’ve been to different gyms all over the country and this planet fitness is by far the cleanest most well kept and friendliest I’ve ever been to. The team at the Lenore location is top shelf! My daughter Hayley and I canceled our memberships over a year ago this specific business is still trying to take money out of our accounts! Somebody froze our accounts instead of canceling them now we have to waste money obtaining a legal aid because of their mistake. I can promise you I will not pay for planet fitness employees mistake!

The Lenoir Planet Fitness is the cleanest gym I have ever been in. The staff is super friendly, greeting you when you walk in and when you leave. Always ready to assist you in any way they can. Love the atmosphere. Vast number of machines. Plenty of free weights.Super clean place, especially the locker and shower areas. Staff is friendly but not overbearing. Planet Fitness in Lenoir has nice equipment, friendly staff, and massage chairs. They have personal training times which I recommend. The trainer has excellent knowledge and is encouraging. Through the personal trainer I was taught how to workout. I lost 25lbs and I'm maintaining my weight with consistent workouts. Thank you!

Music is so loud you can't even listen to your own earbuds, and they can't even turn it down. Literally have no ability to control the volume of their own system. I want to work out, not be in a club. Besides, literally everyone has earbuds. What's the point of house music here? For employees maybe? This PF is fine otherwise but the music level is so loud, it will drive you to join another place. Update: Manager adjusted the music level months later and it is slightly better now.

I was really nervous about starting the gym and building a workout plan that I understood and could build off of. I booked a personal training session and…WOW!
The personal trainer (Paul) made the entire process of building my routine so easy! He is so kind, he explained things as many times as I needed, he showed me proper form, and I did not feel embarrassed or judged at all!
I’ve gone to 5 of his groups so far and he makes them so much fun! I’ve already had so much more progress in my weight loss journey than I ever had before because I’m learning that the gym can be a safe place to learn and grow!

I have been a member at this location for about two months. At first I was nervous however that nervous feeling quickly went away. The staff is so friendly, kind and energetic. Always a welcome when coming in and a have a great night when leaving. I have been working with the personal trainer for the past month and let me tell you Paul is absolutely amazing. Never pushes you to do something your not comfortable with or that is to much. After working with him and doing his classes I am the smallest I have been in over a year and a half. Paul is so patient and willing to help you put in the work. He is encouraging and to me the best part is that he shows you the correct way to do an exercise and he will tell you what a great job you are doing. He will even stop to chat and check in on you if it isn’t a class day. To me, that is important because it shows he notices that you’re putting in the work. This location is the absolute best and I’m extremely ecstatic to be a member here.

The best gym I've ever been to! Note, this isn't a gym for super buff people to slam weights to the ground. Nothing wrong with that, but this is a more casual gym. Tons of equipment! You can get a really good workout here. Bored when working out? Watch one of the 15+ tvs they have. To say this place is clean is an understatement. It is EXTREMELY clean. Worried about the lunk alarm? Don't be. I've only heard it once and it was definitely needed as someone was dropping weights so loudly you could hear it over your earbuds. The staff are so kind. You can ask them for help with a machine if you're new to working out. Absolutely no judgement here, especially if you're a decent human being.
I've seen people of ALL sizes here. Don't be scared. :)

Nice, clean gym but their cable machines are jacked. I know each gym will be slightly different based on who set up the machines but either their machines or Wilkesboros are set up wrong. At wilkesboro for example I can do cable glute pull throughs with 90lbs. At lenior I can't even do 60 because it's too heavy to get off the ground. It shouldn't be that big of a discrepancy.

I was not able to access hydromassage 25 minutes before closing at this location. The guy and the girl at the front desk told me they close spas 30 minutes before closing time. It feels like I was denied for the service that I pay for every month. Never experienced this in other planet fitness locations. Planetfitness should mention this on their website before providing black cards to their customers! Not a JUDGEMENT FREE zone definitely!

If you have the black card, they only have two massage chairs and one wellness pod, so if somebody is using them then you just have to wait. As more people sign up the more the availability will decrease.

Also, they make you give them your debit card information as well as your bank account number and your routing number and they take money from all different places.
