Started going to this gym in March. The staff is very friendly and they keep everything in order. Jeff and Mitch are awesome. Lots of different machines to train on and plenty of space. Everyone who goes here is kind and helpful as well. A great gym for beginners to get started at.

I am a Black Card member and have been using the tanning beds at this location for almost a year. Not once has anyone ever asked me about bringing my own goggles or nipple covers. Today, I was suddenly denied access because I did not have these items.

If this is an established policy, why was I never informed before? Why have I been allowed to use the tanning bed for months without any mention of this requirement?

When I politely asked since when these rules applied, I was dismissively told, “It’s always been like that!” The same staff member who let me use the tanning bed just this past Sunday without asking anything suddenly enforced “new rules” today in front of the manager.

This inconsistency and lack of communication is very disappointing and unprofessional. As a paying Black Card member, I expect clear, respectful communication and consistent policies—not random enforcement depending on who is watching.

Long important review ..:. Oh boy here we ago with this location again!!!! Second review on Monroe . We had to freeze our membership a few months ago. I called to Have the freeze removed, even though it was earlier . We found a new location since we moved and were ready to start again.I let them know that we will no longer be there, and I will call back with a new location and they can transfer us.
Upon going to our new location, they told us our membership was still on freeze . I showed them email that it has been taken off freeze. I called Monroe that day and asked for membership to transfer. Spoke to gentleman he said ok I will call once it transferred. Well surprise he didn’t. Called again and spoke to Lauren asked her to transfer. She said you are on freeze until Nov 17 we can’t work out till then. I said no may I speak to a Manager she said she’s gone won’t be back till 8am tomorrow. (Mind you it’s 4 pm when I called )
I told her we want to go to new location but they are saying we cannot until Monroe corrects it .
This is horrible customer service on top of her being rude and not wanting to solve the issue. Her information was 100% incorrect after calling the other location they verified this is incorrect information.
This club is a disaster I have own and worked in the fitness industry this is not how you teach your employees to treat customers . Pure Laziness staff has not been trained proper knowledge on policies . If you don’t know do not guess and then upset a customer. Teach your team to go above and beyond !! Instead we were disregarded as a customer!!!!!

My only issue with this PF is that they allow their employees to park in the handicap van accessible parking spaces. Literally the space where the vans have access for their ramps to fold down.
I have two knee and a hip replacement and I have a permit to park. It takes me more space to exit my vehicle than most. It’s just a shame.

Been to this location a handful of times, it's always been clean. Some hours can be busier than it shows on the app meter, but even then there is enough space to still have your own spot to workout. The bathroom could use a long mirror to be able to check the outfit or get that mirror selfie. But overall this place is a good one to get your workout in.

One of the best parts of having the Black Card is being able to experience different PF facilities. Don't let the location or bland exterior fool you - this is one of the nicest ones. I know I've mentioned this in the past but I've been away for awhile and continue to notice that front desk staff are not always polite, courteous and professional when it comes to either greeting customers on their way in and/or acknowledging them when they leave. They often times seem preoccupied on their phones or with each other. Paper towel dispensers could be refilled more regularly.

We’ve been to several locations with Planet Fitness. We are new to the area and are now using this location. The hours at this location are not the best for example opening on a Monday at 5 am for those that need early workouts to get to work. We have not experienced this in other locations we have been to in other states. The weekends also have late opening of 7am not 5 or 6 am which make it very busy and hard to get on equipment. Its not the most convenient.
Equipment is older and many machines out of order not the best variety in equipment . They also don’t have a lot of extra attachments for cables so when others are using cables you have to wait. Both restrooms are filthy and have broken doors that don’t lock. This is has been the worst location
We have been too it’s seems older which is fine but not keeping equipment up to date and facility clean is extremely disappointing, especially because as members we pay a yearly fee to keep things updated. I have been a gym owner previously for 10 years and this owner
doesn’t seem to care to put the effort into the facility for up keep.

While I love Planet Fitness, and go spot every day, there's been a problem with the treadmills for a couple weeks. They'll randomly reboot mid-walk/run. No problems with other machines though, and I know the treadmills were replaced recently.

I use to enjoy coming to the gym here but I have become more involved in other activities like coaching soccer. I put my membership on hold and forgot about it until yesterday they pulled the yearly fee out of my account. Today I went up to the gym to ask for a cancellation and a refund. The manager remained firm in saying “it’s impossible to refund someone it’s in our policy we can pull money out of your account until you cancel” I understand that but it just seems like very poor customer service. I’m very upset at how this situation was handled. I have been to plenty of other gyms who refund even the months you didn’t go. I don’t expect them to do that I just want the yearly fee refund since it’s been over a year since I’ve been to this location.

Up until today I’ve always had great experiences at this planet fitness. I’ve been going here for 3 years. Unfortunately one of the workers today decided to become very aggressive with me over wearing crocs. The cleaning woman with short brown hair came up to me while I was in the stretching area. I was in mid plank when I realized she was speaking to me (my headphones were in) She yelled loudly for me to take my headphones out. I take my headphones out and I ask her what’s going on. She then begins telling me I’m not allowed to wear crocs in the gym. I tell her I understand and she walks away. She then goes up to another coworker and begins pointing at me. The coworker then comes over and tells me the same thing she told me. I let him know that I understand and will make sure I wear closed toed shoes next time. I wasn’t using the machines and would finish my AB workout then leave. He agrees to this.The lady then comes rushing over aggressively asking “what did she say? What did she say?” She then begins telling me how she’s doing her job in a nasty tone and continues to yell at me. She starts walking towards me when I put my hand up and tell her to please not come towards me because I feel threatened. Her coworker then begins to try and calm her down. I leave soon after this because I feel embarrassed and honestly hurt about the way I was spoken to. I don’t feel I deserved to be treated in that manner. I was understanding and willing to do what I needed to by wearing closed toed shoes the next time I came into planet fitness. This is not the way costumers should be handled. I recently had a baby and it is already tough for me to go to the gym. On top of having social anxiety. This just made it that much worse for me. I will be canceling my membership.

Definitely DO NOT waste your time or money!!! They have literally been taking money from me for over a year! I have been in and out of the hospital and haven’t been able to go in and cancel in person. I even tried to get it stopped by my bank. When I was finally able to go in and cancel they refused because of a balance on the account. I was also told that a manager could cancel the account and take care of the balance. The manager Katie called me while I was in the hospital after having a stroke and told me that she couldn’t do what was told to me the day before. My husband has also been there before too and was told that they could even refund payments since I hadn’t been there and was told that they couldn’t do that either. Definitely not good business practice to lie to your customers and make it to where you can only cancel if you are at the gym you started the membership with, which means if you move you are out of money.

I handicapped and on disability. It seems that my wife was signing us up for the New Mint Hill location and somehow we were sent to the Monroe Location as Mint Hill is way closer. Well 2 of our accounts were in Mint Hill and one was Monroe. Well thanks to them only having one handicapped parking spot we decided to cancel our memberships. We did that in October 2023. Then in November get another charge of $25 from Monroe. I called the store in Mint Hill they told me to check with my bank to find out what store it was I did. I will tell you those in charge of Mint Hill are awesome. The refunded my membership the Manager of that store said we do not have to refund but we will as a courtesy. So I called Monroe explaining my situation I kindly asked as I had $110 to last until the 3rd of the month for a refund of the $25 that I didn’t expect to come out. The lady said she was the manager and we don’t do refunds I said I understand but can’t you help me out she said No. I said lady I bring home $1575 a month I have all my bills planned out and this just hit me for a loop that $25 was gas money for my PT due to loosing my leg which is the reason I originally had my wife sign us up. Could you make an exception she said no it is our policy. I said well that’s what the other manager said but they made and exception. That manager said it was the managers discretion. She said we I am telling you no. So these people might be nice and friendly they are only out for one thing your money. To these managers you are a payment which makes them friendly.
