Hey, we try not to write this review, but you have pushed me over the edge not only other days were after getting off work. My workouts have to be deviated because you have a bunch of zombies on their phones that employees do not enforce people standing around in front of equipment, not using it, but standing there or sitting on it while people are actually trying to work out !!!!
, not only do you have a sub Reddit page about your billing issues we encountered again your lies have continued to stress us out. WE & Our family we will be canceling and I do see here $15 there $30 there and you think that people are not going to realize what you’re doing? Because we’ve had billing issues with you before we changed around to a ONE(Walmart funded) worker account so not only did I have my checking account information. I also have my card information which you did not try to build but you took out a random $15 late fee when you did not have the authority to do so and there was no late fee to be paid...
Your employee Marissa said that “it must be because we changed”around our account information the day before but how did I go Being told to do this which we did it on the 16th early morning so 24 hours later you decide to take out $15 and then 30.41

I have been a Black Card member since they have opened. Again, summer is approaching and it is unbelievable hot in the gym. Can they please fix the AC, tint the windows or put fans by the free weights? I love the location and people, but your regulars and newbies are getting fed up with how hot and uncomfortable it is.

Staff are great, when they refurbished after the storm, they made improvements. The air and fans seem to circulate air better, making it cooler then before. Summer will be the true test. It is still very overcrowded during 5-7pm. I think they should have made an offer for the building next door to enlarge this one, especially with how many people come here. But, all in all a good gym.

Went to Hickory Planet Fitness - Moved to Morganton. With over 70% of the workout equipment in use - the staff let's multiple people run between multiple machines at the same time claiming 2-4 machines Further reducing the amount of equipment available at 9:30 am on a weekday. Very poorly managed fast food style operation. Needs to have accountability and ensure their patrons only use 1 machine at a time- I will have to drive extra distance in future to avoid this location. Very disheartening gym. Hopefully they take control and run the establishment to the benefit of ALL patrons.

I couldn’t ask for a better gym. I was so excited when they reopened after hurricane Helene. I used to go to Planet Fitness when I lived in Colorado and when I moved back home after Covid, there was not a location near me. I recently moved to Burke County and when I moved the location here in Morganton was still closed. I joined immediately when I learned that they had reopened, and the staff has been nothing but helpful and friendly, I have felt so comfortable here, and I’m very excited to be back on this journey in a gym where I feel no judgement. The location is extremely clean and welcoming.

Clean, nice, relaxing Black card Room, but I gotta say all PF needs to open back up to 24/7 I can't go as much as I need to or want to go with the hours they currently have. Covid is over. Let's get back to normal. I've been patient, and now it's getting ridiculous at this point on why they haven't gone back to 24/7. Since the hurricane, they had to rebuild this gym. They do not have the 30 min. room, and they are missing the total gym machine and only got a couple of workout machines.

Horrible customer service, to a black card guest. Asian guy upfront was doing the most, when in other locations I've had no issue. This was my second week coming. And decided to come to a closer location

Updated. I can no longer recommend this facility. They have zero communication with their members. I don’t live here but this is my or was my home facility. I got here in October and they were closed due to a storm. Was not informed of any closure and phone goes unanswered so I email corporate and no response. I start seeing charges on my account and find they had reopened and didn’t bother to let anyone know but had no problem restarting charges without permission. I won’t be back in the area until March so what the hell am I paying for? No manager on duty just a clueless minion who doesn’t understand why this is unacceptable.

This location is always clean and everything appears to be new. The staff are available and responsive. The PF Black area is also very relaxing and super clean. I wish there was an alternative to the smith machines but that’s the culture of PF and for the price you can’t complain. Hours keep getting cut across all locations which is a bummer. If it cuts any more the gym won’t be useful to me any longer.

The PF in Morganton is great. I love their tanning beds. They only have 4 but I've never had to wait on one to be available. The massage chairs are bomb too plus I get a personal trainer included with my membership. The black card membership is really the only way to go.

Do not sign up for this Gym!! I signed up and found I didn't use it much and then moved and I can't get my membership cancelled! They will not cancel over the phone, you cannot cancel through your account online, you cannot cancel by going into your local gym. It is an act of GOD to get them to cancel, and they just keep taking their money even though it takes forever to cancel. In today's world of technology, this gym is in the dark ages and could care less about customer service!

Do not sign up! Expensive place for a gym membership with hidden fees. They will charge you an extra 20 if it’s a late fee rediculous, plus whatever else they feel the need to charge your card for and make an excuse for it. Tbh since I got my black card membership I've been there with my son almost every day. Its been really nice and I've been getting great results getting back into shape. That was until the day before yesterday when I was there with my son and one of the employees decided to arbitrarily try and humilate us. After our workout we went and hit the massage table for a few minutes like we have literally every time we've been there, but he decided it was suddenly a big deal that my son was only using a black card guest pass and call us out for it in front of everyone as we're about to leave. With that fake friendly belittling tone, and when I told him it had never been an issue before his response was that everyone else isn't doing their jobs and he has to pick up their slack. I don't remember hsi name but I believe it started with a G, his neat ponytail and trimmed beared combined with his maneurism leads me to believe he'd be better suited to teaching yoga to unattended kids before charges stick, you can recognize his vibe pretty easily. The other employees there at the time gave off body language that he makes them uncomfortable as well. I want planet fitness to know that now instead of also getting my son a black card membership as i was planning I'll be downgrading my membership when it runs out. I mean I get it, I obviously look poor and like I don't belong, but that doesn't give him the right to treat people like that. I'll probably just save up and get my own exercize equipment or find another gym to go to that has a little less smug atmosphere.

A fun little addition, today I came alone and yoga beard was so nice to casually follow me around watching to see if I'd forget to wipe down a machine or something else he could comment on, even following me in the locker room 'totally coincidentally'. I thought PF was supposed to promote an inclusive environment, not hire the toxicity as staff....... He's trying to get under my skin so I'll react in a way that kicks me out, and if he pulls it next time I come in he may get what he wants. Idk what his problem is but he needs to resolve it, or the owner does since he gives off assistant manager on an ego trip vibes.

The staff is great! I had insanely high anxiety when i joined because i had never been to the gym but they made me feel so comfortable that over a month later I'm going 5 or 6 days a week and really enjoying working out. Really clean and the staff were helpful, $10 a month is a really good deal for a gym my only issue that keeps me from joining is they lack on some of the equipment for compound lifts (bench, squats, deadlifts, etc.) And their free weights only go up to 75lbs, so if you're not a lifter chances are PF is great but anyone serious about lifting should go to another gym. Everything else was great.

Planet fitness, they have an annual fee of something like 40 bucks, and 2 membership levels. I have the black card, which means simply that I can take a guest with me every time I go, I take my son to keep me motivated, also I can use their spa area which includes massage chairs, water massage tables, and tanning booths, both standing and laying. And I can use any planet fitness I visit nationwide.
The staff are friendly and helpful and payment is superconvenient with a card on file associated to my account there are sanitation stations for clients to clean equipment before use additionally staff seem to go through everything once periodically so that everything seems to get taken care of weather its been used or not every couple of hours

I love it! This is such an accommodating, friendly place for everyone. Literally, there is something for everyone! Hailey, Brian and Tay are awesome employees who go out of their way to make the patron happy! The machines are such a variety, the tanning beds are always clean and work really well, and the hydro massage chairs! Omg! So glad I found this place to help me get out of post covid and baby body. There are cleaning stations to use before and after you finish on a machine, there is hand sanitizer throughout , and social distancing is encouraged while on machines. Thanks planet fitness for helping me and some of my loved ones get motivated!
