I went for an intro class and Kenya lead a very fun and amazing class. She was very patient and made the first class unforgettable. I’m planning to get a membership especially now that I know about this place.

I've been coming for 9 months and love it here. As someone new to pole, I was nervous, but Leah immediately made me feel comfortable. The instructors are amazing and have modifications for everything. The student community is diverse, welcoming, and supportive. I feel like I get a great value for my membership and PBA has reminded me how much I enjoy dance and how therapeutic movement can be. Check their social media for deals and promotions. Note that there isn't a full-time receptionist, so it's probably best to message the studio if you have questions.

This was my safe space until they showed how they really feel about black women.
I’m gonna keep it short, sweet and to the point.
1. They believe black women are aggressive.
2. They don’t care to hear about your concerns.
3. They are “reactive”. No, I’m not making it up one of the owners actually said that. Do you trust your card information with someone that is reactive? Do you want to be in the presence of someone who is “reactive”? We’re grown.
4. All of their instructors except for 1, quit. If nothing stops you from going they should. Their LOYAL instructors. Some have been with them since PBA opened. The instructors are the ones that built the community. They are PBA. Olivia and Tiffany were never even there. They ruined a community they wasn’t even a part of.
5. They used ChatGPT to wrote an apology 😂 If they really cared about black women and their members that would’ve been an easy heartfelt apology. But they don’t.
6. Let me explain how much they don’t care to lose their instructors and members. After all was said and done the owners had a zoom meeting with all the members to address what happened. Only one showed up. Where was the other one? Teaching a class at their other location. 😂 But has the nerve to call someone unprofessional.
7. They have a sign in the lobby that includes “black lives matter”. Don’t let that fool you. They aren’t real allies.
8. All in all, black women and allies, they don’t care about you. This will not be your safe space. So sorry 😞
9. If you would like to see how all of this went down go to @purppoles on ig. She has all the receipts

I attended PBA from Aug 2021- Nov 2024. When I found this studio it became my safe space. I gained various relationships and advanced in pole greatly and for that I am thankful. HOWEVER, over the past year or so the environment in the studio took a turn for the absolutely worst. So much so I didn’t even feel comfortable stepping into the studio toward the end of my membership. Unbeknownst to me PBA had been earning a reputation of discriminatory and unprofessional behavior towards its co-owners, instructors, and members. I became aware of this behavior when a friend of mine was wrongfully terminated for providing feedback to the owners about changes made at the studio that affected the safety of students. Instead of taking heed to the feedback she was terminated, banned from the studio, and labeled as “aggressive and unprofessional.” These words hold a lot of weight when used to describe a black woman and ultimately feeds the stereotype already placed on the minority group. Although this angered me greatly, I thought I would approach the situation in a private manner. I wrote a professional letter directly to the owners expressing my concerns and was later blocked from the community’s communication channels along with many other members of color. When I asked why they could not give me a direct answer but instead blame shifted between the two owners, Tiffany and Olivia. After being a member for 3 years, I was devastated at the way they treated me and manyyyyy other members that kept the studio afloat. Not to mention their public apology for my friend’s wrongful termination did not include any accountability but instead labeled the incident as “social media drama.” Needless to say PBA and its owners Tiffany and Olivia will not get another penny from me. They have been and continue to disrespect and hurt people with their thoughtless actions and unprofessional business interactions. This studio does not deserve the support of the black community as they have repeatedly shown us that we are not valued. Since the indecent many members and all but one instructor has left the studio to find a safer pole space. To this day the owners will not take accountability for anything they have done and people like that should not run a business. So if you’re a racist this is a great place for you, but for anyone else -10000/10 do not recommend. Spend your dollars somewhere they are actually appreciated.

Run, do not walk, to Pole Body & Arts. I was so excited to see that this studio opened, as I've always wanted to try learning pole. Every class has been an incredibly supportive and inclusive environment for all ages and body types. The instructors are exceptionally kind, patient, and attentive. I don't typically write reviews for businesses, but do so in the rare instance where I am so blown away that I want to do everything I can to support the business!

What an amazing business! I've attended 3 classes since they opened on 05Feb and every single one has been incredible. This is my first time ever doing a pole class, needless to say I was quite nervous. All of that went out the window after my first class. You're made to feel beautiful no matter who you are, age, or how you're built. You leave knowing you got yourself a serious workout and great a ego boost. Oh, and by the way, it's not all pole. There is a Booty (strength conditioning) class, stretch class, pole choreography and the list goes on. No matter what you choose, you will feel the burn :)
My instructors so far, Leah, Bri and Olivia (one of the owners) are not only very knowledgeable, they are so friendly and make the time to support each person in their class.
For anyone trying to find a new fitness routine, or just interested to learn more, I highly recommend going to check out this place, you won't be disappointed.
