The Reidsville YMCA has been wonderful for my family! I play pick-up basketball, my wife participates in exercise classes, and my children have played soccer. There is a sweet and positive feeling from people there and a sense of community among people who go there.

This is a very nice, welcoming, clean facility. I was impressed that staff did periodic wellness checks of different areas in the building. An example is when I was in the sauna, a staff member came by to see how many people were in the sauna. Everyone there was very friendly!

If you want to experience a good silver sneaker, stretching, and cardio class you need to go to the YMCA with Emma on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at 9:30 as an added bonus she also has a tai chi class at 10:30. And for those wanting a good night sleep on Wednesday be sure and attend the cardio dance class at 6:35 PM on the second floor in the Reidsville YMCA. Be there or be square!

Such a wonderful staff who are encouraging, supportive and kind. The entire staff have been respectful, cheerful and help to guide you along your wellness or fitness journey no matter the age or chronic illness, disability. They demonstrate modifications that meet you where you are and help to teach proper techniques as you strive to become the healthiest self you can be. And the sauna is excellent! Steam room is also nice, but the sauna- fantastic!

I love working out and swimming in the pool with kids. I just wish they would extend the hours to at least til 10 as 8 pm is too early for people who work little late and by the time I am ready, the gym is about to close.

They have absolutely everything a person would need. From things for children like swimming, and basket ball, etc. Adults have more than enough to stay in shape or lose weight to even water aerobics and or just swimming for fun. The Reidsville YMCA has so much for everyone at all ages, that I am positive if you call and ask about anything else, they will have that too! And the staff is so community oriented!

I've enjoyed the Reidsville Family YMCA and the Eden YMCA soccer program for our kids. The YMCA staff is wonderful. The athletic director is very kind and you can tell he is passionate about his job. We look forward to many more programs through these YMCA branches.

We love that the Y is so family focused. With three of our four kids in a sport, I was concerned that I wouldnβt be able to handle the schedule. Our Sports Director, Kia has done everything to make sure that the schedules would work for us, and because of that, we chose the Y again, and plan to continue to do so in the future.

My first impression was; I needed to cancel my membership. But after interacting with Cindy, Emily, Lisa, and Ms. Whitsett the Director, my opinion changed.
Cindy the lifeguard was extremely helpful in explaining the operations of the pool. π
Ms. Whitsett and Lisa was extremely helpful in implementing a pickleball program, (in progress).
Where as other places were not as willing.
These ladies ENJOY ASSISTING members and are helpful. If you need assistance? Just ask.
I Highly Recommend the Reidβville YMCA.

We've been members for awhile and love it
The gym is well equipped, including low impact machines and a weight lifting room. Flat screens are also on the walls. Other gym members are very friendly and there are a wide variety of people there from extremely fit to those like me who need to lose weight. I've never felt judged for my size or clumsiness on the machines.
The pool is amazing, much bigger than you'd expect. Nice swim lanes and deep end. There is also an area for littles. The water temp is a few degrees higher than most pools so it feels amazing and you don't get chills. Life guards are relaxed and I barely notice them. There is a picnic table outside of the indoor pool where you can bring a lunch.
Also available are gender separated locker rooms with saunas and steam rooms. There are separate gender separated locker rooms for kids too old to go with parents. A swim suit dryer is present in the adult locker rooms, kids can use the one located near The pool. The locker rooms are always clean and there is plenty of hot water for showers. Soap, towels and hair dryers are available. Unfortunately the locker room is very dated. Still functional but definitely a blast from the past.
The only complaint I have is that often (during summers, school breaks, and after school hours) tons of roaming groups of pre-teen to teens are there. Parents often drop off kids to the pool/basket ball gym as a cheap babysitter. Some are members, some just pay the daily admission to the pool. Either way they are unsupervised. For the most part they behave ok. But they are loud and tend to float around in swim lanes. The life guards do not make them leave the swim lanes until someone complains. I hate complaining about the kids because the Y is pretty much the only affordable and safe place to be for these kids and the Y staff does a lot for these kids...but man it can get really annoying with so many around. Fortunately the workout rooms are relatively free of teens.
Over all it's a great place, I'd recommend it to everyone. It's great for a work out, swimming, relaxing, and socialising.

Terrible gym, strict staff that will kick you out over stupid stuff such as not wearing shoes. Old gym equipment that's halfway broken and a basketball gym that's super small and has zero air conditioning so it stays super hot.
