Sage Fitness is amazing! The training programs are top-notch—challenging but perfectly tailored to your goals. The schedule is flexible and easy to stick with, making it simple to stay consistent. I’ve seen great improvements in both my health and body shape since joining. On top of that, the environment is super motivating and enjoyable—everyone is friendly, supportive, and genuinely cares about your progress. Highly recommend!

Joining SAGE Strength + Conditioning has been one of the best decisions I've ever made. The programming and coaching is always on point. I've been with them for about 1 year now, and have seen huge improvements in my overall fitness.

My background is as an endurance athlete (triathlon, swimming, running) and I’ve tried multiple fitness programs. I’ve tried CrossFit, high intensity interval training, self directed general fitness routines and even personal coaching. Most of these programs led to being overtrained and injured. SAGE Fitness changed all of that. It is a great balance of overall fitness while allowing me to maintain all of my other fitness goals. I wish I had SAGE fitness earlier on in my athletic career. I’m glad I have them now. A program that meets you where you’re at, pushes you at your pace, provides overall fitness/wellness and minimizes injuries. I love it!

I’ve been working out at SAGE ~2 years, and it has been life changing. Seth is a fantastic coach and is always watching your form, tailoring the plan to your goals, and pushing you the right way so you get stronger without feeling beat up. You get the focus of personal training with the energy of a small, supportive group, which is exactly what I was looking for.

The space is clean, organized, and well-equipped, and the vibe is welcoming for beginners, busy parents, and competitive athletes alike.

If you want coaching over chaos and community over crowds, go to SAGE.

Hands down, the best gym experience ever! I love the facility, plenty of space and I never feel crowded. And it's super clean!
The app that comes with your membership gives you the last weight that you trained at and your personal max weight. This has really helped me to see improvements. Would definitely recommend!

Working out at Sage Strength + Conditioning has been life changing. Today is the one year anniversary of my fitness assessment with Seth back in October 2024 and my experience with him and his team has been exceptional. Doing what they prescribe multiple times a week, the improvement in my overall strength and functional fitness in just 12 months has been immense. When I’m feeling good, they push me. If something is not feeling quite right, they notice before I do and help me make adjustments. Seth understands training and lifting techniques inside and out, and is always incorporating new exercises both to challenge and enhance functional strength. His system works!

All I have to do is show up and do what’s on the board! He and his staff are always on the floor with us, teaching and encouraging. Membership at Sage adds value to my life. It’s the best gym I’ve ever belonged to.

Sage strength is quite literally my favorite place to work out. I’ve never had a bad coaching experience here. With not being the “most fit” or “knowledgeable” about working out in general… I was feeling nervous to get started… but after my first workout I was hooked! They are so kind, patient and really encourage me. I can’t recommend them enough!

This is the gym community I've been looking for. I have wanted to find somewhere to work out where I'm personally known and there's the accountability to show up, yet that also has flexibility of some independence to do my workout pretty solo, with periodic support from the coaches. I'm getting stronger, and I love this community. Seth, Brooke and Rusty are wonderful.

Easily the best gym I've been a part of. Everyone from the owners to the coaches to the members are a pleasure to be around. Coming back to exercise after some injuries and general laziness, i was worried about how much ground i had lost and pretty self conscious about where i was going in... The atmosphere is friendly and welcoming and I'm making much better progress than i expected. Highly highly recommended! Oh, and if you go in on a Thursday morning you must make a point of letting Rusty know that it is, indeed, Thursday 🤣🤣

Women in their sixties develop a risk for various things - Osteoporosis is one that runs in my family. After a few bone breaks, my doctor recommended strengthening the muscle that protects the bone to prevent further damage. To make the process more efficient, he also recommended that I find a trainer who could review my needs, take into account my limitations and develop a program for someone my age that would achieve the desired results. I researched various gyms in the area - most provide the 'do it yourself' approach.

When I found Sage Strength and checked out the reviews, I completed their online form and a discussion was scheduled. They heard me out, considered my situation and developed a program that did not use machinery but rather relied on my own body weight plus, dumbbells, kettlebells and resistance bands. It works. While the workouts are challenging (as they should be), taking the necessary recovery time between sessions really works. I can feel myself getting stronger and more confident.

The Sage Strength team of trainers and coaches never disappoints. Each member is extremely professional and knowledgeable - quick to point out a correction in approach or, to offer an alternative if my limitations mandate it. They are kind, respective, encouraging and willing to help in your quest.

For honest, solid, real-world training, Sage Strength is the place to go. I highly recommend them.

I LOVE this place!!! Would never have thought I’d say that about a gym. No more paying for a huge complex that you never use paying oodles for a trainer just watching you do the same move over again. Brooke and Seth and their staff tailor really well-structured workouts so you can do them in small groups with them being around to help you with form and suggestions, always making sure you do things safely. They are super, and sonare the other clients

im a 52 year old male looking to lead a more healthy life with my diabetes. I was looking for a gym that would be welcoming. specially for a newbie. I've never been to a gym before and was looking for direction as well as support. I love that every time you walk in they make a point of welcoming you back and ask how your feeling. it just makes it more personal to me. they walk you thru every exercise and movement without question. tho I am only 7 weeks in, I look forward to going every time.

I have been going to the Sage gym for three months now, I can confidently say it’s the best investment I have ever made. I’m an individual who’s considered overweight, not very fit. I went into this gym and I never once have felt judged or disrespected for my weight or the fact that I’m not an athlete.

The coaches here are some of the most nurturing & patient people I have ever come across in my life. When I only have an hour and can’t complete the entire workout, I never sense any judgement or belittling. At previous gyms I could never say that. They understand the 80/20 method. I’m way harder on myself than they are on me. I’ve even learned to have more grace with myself even if I can’t complete the entire workout. That means a lot to me. It makes me want to create more time for this gym in my crazy life of working two jobs. I want to continue to improve myself and this is an environment I feel comfortable doing so.

The community here makes me want to work harder, not only for myself, but because the energy of hard work is ingrained in the fabric of this gym. You’ll see this each day working out with others. But, hard work is not the only thing that exists here. Compassion, mutual respect, and a nurturing environment is what you can expect if you attend this gym. There is also a sense of care in each of the workouts so you don’t injure yourself. There is always someone available to ask questions if you’re unsure about something. In each of the workouts there’s building blocks that help to support you with strength & mobility. There’s intention behind each of the workouts and you can tell whenever you complete them.

I’m so grateful I stumbled upon this little gym, it’s an amazing community filled with knowledge, respect & heart. If you’re willing to put in the work, you’ll reach the goals you want to obtain. As I said, I’ve only been coming for three months, and there’s a spectacular difference in my body than when I first started.

My arms are more muscular. My core is stronger. I’ve realized that my lower body is stronger than I’ve given it credit for. My mobility needs work, but as I continue I look forward to improving on that. There are things that I’m able to do now, that I never saw myself able to do before. It’s incredibly inspiring and I can only thank the coaches at Sage who helped me uncover this. I couldn’t have done this alone.

If you have no idea where to start in your fitness journey, this is a GREAT first step. Which will eventually lead to other steps to support your goals. It doesn’t have to be weight loss. It doesn’t have to be becoming the most muscular person in Winston Salem. If you simply want to better yourself physically & mentally, then this is the place for you. This is why I’ll continue to attend this gym for as long as possible. It’s now a fixed expense in my life that I will fight to protect. I know that my body will thank me for this investment in the future, yours will too!

Thanks for reading. May this inspire you on your journey and whatever that looks like. See you at Sage!

I recently became a member at SAGE and I have loved every minute of my time there. As a college athlete, I am always looking for ways to stay active over the summer. I have tried a couple of gym chains and the YMCA in previous years, but none of those even compare to SAGE. Personally, I feel more comfortable training in a controlled environment, so having coaches on the floor during my workouts has been awesome. The structure at SAGE has been transformative for me because I no longer have to create my own workouts and I actually have someone pushing me and holding me accountable. I get 1 on 1 instruction and feedback, so the coaches genuinely care about my progress and success. At SAGE I actually feel like part of a unique family and diverse community. The staff has even gotten to know me on a personal level. That’s something you just don’t get at many gyms, at least from my experience. The cool thing about SAGE is that no matter what your background is or what your abilities are, they are there to guide you in whatever goals you want to achieve. SAGE has something special for everyone!

I am new to gym-ing and strength training and I walked in here to reduce my postpartum weight and get fit. What I walked into wasn’t just any normal gym, it was an awesome high level and very challenging strength training run by the two most passionate and lovely people-Seth and Brooke who became more like close friends in a short time.

These guys are highly trained professionals who know their stuff!! And like an icing on the cake they are friendly, caring and genuinely concerned about your well-being. They have enough equipment and experience to train from seasoned athletes to a newbie like me and they know exactly how much to push each of them in every session-no more and no less. Trust me, there’s a challenge for you here even if you’re a pro.

The size of the class is small enough to give individual attention to everyone and although a common training program is planned everyday its again customised to individual needs and capability. Since I started coming here I’ve never failed to feel challenged and surprised at what I have accomplished. It’s a special place mainly coz of these two fantastic people Brooke and Seth who are always so kind, encouraging and appreciative. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve taken coming here!!

This place is special. You can be yourself and workout in a pressure-free environment. The coaches prioritize knowing you, your fitness goals, and your background, so that they can help you improve your fitness and image efficiently and effectively. I began doing personal training sessions with coach Mark, who thoroughly evaluated my fitness abilities and taught me how to get the most out of each exercise he customized for my fitness level. Now, I receive customized workouts that I can perform on my own at my convenience either at the gym with supervision as needed, or away from the gym using an app. My wife loves working with coach Megan, who is especially dedicated to helping mothers regain confidence and strength. We have both seen significant improvements after just two months of two workouts per week. This is by far the best place to workout that I’ve ever seen or heard about and it’s not even close. Highly recommend it to anyone at any stage of life.

I am a 56 year old elder law and special needs attorney, and am doing PT with owner Seth. What I like about Seth is that he does not think in terms of limits--no matter what a client's age, sex, weight, or physical condition, Seth instills confidence that the client can get fitter, stronger, and healthier. Seth is very proud of the over 50 adults he trains who are getting very strong, and making remarkable progress. He creates great whole body workouts in a no-frills gym with very basic equipment and does not make false promises--all clients improve through their own effort, with guidance and support from gym's staff. Seth's wife Brooke, who also trains, is a real asset--very fit, friendly, warm, welcoming, and encouraging.

Sage works. I'm about 5'9", on a good day, and since turning 40 earlier this year I realized that it was time to get serious about my health. I was pushing my weight up close to 280. That was way too high. I didn't feel good at all. I am an endomorph body type. I have tried many different types of exercising. I tried joining a gym to lift weights, I've done P90X, I took martial arts for a number of years, but through it all my weight steadily increased. You see, I would train hard for a while, then stop and gain more weight than I had originally started with. I can gain weight like breathing, it is just that easy for me. Which brings my story to Sage Strength. Since joining this family, and it is a family, I have adopted a new lifestyle. I think of myself as an athlete. Everyday I work out I get stronger and leaner. I am happy to say that as of this morning's weigh in, I am now 240 pounds. I haven't seen the 230's in at least 8 years, so this is a major accomplishment for me. And without the support of the smart training and goal setting that Sage provides, I would have never gotten to where I am. I am hoping to get my body to the point where it can compete in the Murph Challenge for Memorial Day 2017. It is a bit of a lofty goal seeing as how I can only do a handful of pull-ups right now, but once the weight comes off, I know that the strength is in there. It's my Sage Strength.
