Scorch has the best fitness classes I’ve ever taken. It engages so many different muscles that other classes never target in addition to the usual muscle groups. While the class is an incredible workout, it’s also a lot of fun and the trainers really know how to help everyone do the exercises correctly. What a great core workout! Although the megaformer may initially be intimidating, Michaelyn is a fantastic instructor to guide you through the movements. She is supportive and encouraging, providing helpful demonstrations and analogies to perform the movements using proper techniques. This might be the best workout ever. It does take a little time to build up strength but I’ve never felt so strong and I’ve spent decades doing every form of workout under the sun. Strengthening, toning. Everything is done slowly and the slower the harder it is. It’s like Pilates on steroids, so injuries are practically nonexistent. It isn’t cardio but you do get a little. Great community around the studio too! Everyone’s super supportive.

This is one of my favorite workout methods!!! It's only 45 minutes so it's super quick with heart pumping music and low impact moves. The instructors are super motivating and always have variations to make it harder or easier depending on what you need. The Lagree Method taught at Scorch is quite amazing and brilliant. The teachers are encouraging, patient and very knowledgeable. I was looking for a way to get a challenging workout without being high impact (which I used to do but my body didn't like.) The low impact yet high intensity exercise style has made me so much stronger in not only my body but my mental capacity as well. My balance has improved and so has my endurance. I love it!

I wanted strength training to complement my running and cardio workouts and decided to try scorch at the recommendation of a friend. I was hooked after one class. Low impact and total body with a focus on core and stabilization muscles. It has eliminated all of my joint pain when I run or do impact cardio and I love the long lean muscles. I’ve been doing Scorch now for about two years and I Can honestly say it’s changed my life for the better. I was super resistant initially because anything called scorch just sounded like torture, and at first I have to admit it was really uncomfortable, but the payoff has been tremendous. Full body workout, the timing is great, I feel challenged, supported, and motivated to show up. The accountability really works for me as does the low impact high intensity method. Teachers are excellent. This is money and time well spent!

I love trying new things and Scorch is my most recent "new thing." I read about Lagree on a forum as a helpful exercise modality for people with connective tissue disorders/Ehler Danlos Syndrome. In the last 2 months, the combination of Scorch and weekly acupuncture has reduced my chronic upper back pain by 90%. I really love the 45 minute class length. I'm sure I'm not the first person who has taken a long hiatus from physical fitness and been nervous to jump back in. Especially in a form of exercise they're unfamiliar with. That being said, I am SO happy I found Lagree and Scorch!! Before I took my first class I was on board with the method, encouraged by all the positive reviews, and completely sold after my first few classes because the proof is in the pudding.

Only a handful of classes in, I am SLOWLY starting to catch on (with all the awesome guidance I get each session) and even though I find it very challenging, it's the best because I want to come back for more when it's over. I know it will still take my own dedication and determination to continue on, but what I have found so helpful thus far are the encouraging and attentive teachers <3 As well as the overall welcoming vibe of the other students. I have been to other studios over the years and I often found this underlying negative air of "look at the new person/outsider/clique-y" that made me uncomfortable. None of that here at Scorch! Everyone is pushing themselves and has their own struggles and triumphs right next to you. I appreciate hearing all the positive talk at the end of class from other students about the challenging movements and what they LIKED about the things they found difficult. Lastly, I think it's awesome that I've seen other teachers I've had so far take each other's classes. It shows me there is always something you can learn and challenge yourself with even if you're at the front of the studio! (Sorry, this is a long review! #feels)

TLDR: Come to Scorch. You won't regret it.

I love this workout. I've done the Lagree method in other cities, so I was already hooked. When I heard they were opening Scorch, I was ecstatic. With several joint issues, these workouts are the only ones that I've been able to do without joint pain, and see results- seeing muscle definition and strength and feeling great, after several weeks of doing Scorch workouts about 2-3 times a week. There's even a cardiovascular benefit. The teachers are encouraging, kind people. The studio itself is beautiful and has a shower.
