Leaving 5 stars for Krissy, the new director for the recreational program. I have watched my child’s confidence and skills improve under her guidance at SGA. She is a leader who truly cares for individual growth and has been a very bright light for our family!! Thank you.

Our daughter has been going to SGA Gymnastics for about six months now, and she absolutely loves it.

She started in the prep group and then moved up to an older group, and she’s been loving every part of it—from the coaches to the friends she’s made.

The gym itself is really well-equipped—I’m not sure how old it is, but it looks super fresh and well-maintained. And judging by how busy it always is, it’s definitely a popular spot.

Every time we come in, we see tons of kids training, so it’s clearly a great place. Highly recommend!

I was really impressed with the big facility and the competitive teams train there and decided to join my daughter . But the beginner classes are too crowded with a 16:1 ratio . And there are so many classes happening at the same time . They barely get any practice time since only 2 kids can go each turn while rest are sitting idle . We continued the classes for more than a year with no progress what so ever . They do not test the child or encourage them to progress . Talked to the staff there but no use . My kid has finally lost interest and we dropped the classes now .
Bottom line : not worth for beginners

When I went into the bathroom I was stinky and when I was gonna grab the towels there was none left !!!and there are vending machines and you also have to pay that inflated!!!!! If you have a hard name to pronounce the coach will not remember your name !!! And it annoying when they are calling you like “hey you” or “come “ so ya

My main concern is that the younger classes (preschool- 5 yrs?) are not supervised well at all. The coach is experienced but can only be at one place at one time..... And the teenaged helpers who are SGA students seem to be unaccustomed to dealing with small children. The children often are fooling around on the equipment with the risk of injury at any moment. The coach will offer a routine that spreads across the whole gym, and there is no way for any child to accomplish the whole course and also no way to supervise all the children at all the stations. I fear an injury is only a heartbeat away from lack of supervision.

My daughter is who is visually impaired and other health conditions has been attending preschool aged classes at SGA for 4 months now! I didn’t have high expectations for her to fully participate in class and only wanted her to join an activity for the social aspect of it… however, my expectations have been exceeded! My daughter loves her gymnastics class, and the coaches. They go above and beyond to assist her and treat her just as equal as any other student! I highly recommend SGA 😊

From day one my daughter felt at home in SGA. She has been with SGA a year and a half, and we are entering our 2nd meet season on Xcel team. The staff is pationate about gymnastics and want children to grow not only as athletes but as strong and confident individuals.

Worst experience ever ever ever!!! Couple of reasons! My kid, 3 years old, preschool group. A little bit shy at beginning, but will be turn to extremely happy if coach gives her positive feedback!

1- NO ONE gives her warmly welcome! Ignore her all the session. Even though, my kid tried to talk with them!!! They have 2 coaches!!! Simply ask what her name. And then never talked to her!!! Unbelievable!
2- Ignore my kids all the session. Many times, my kid stand up there, and doesn’t know what she should do! No any guidance! My kid cried and standing there, coach even doesn’t care! No one go towards to her to ask what do you want? Even though, a teacher just near my kid! How comes!!!
3- Never talk to my kid, only talk to kid who come here long time.
4- Never invite or teach her how to do (but I can understand this, because we are trial student, we have not pay!!! So that’s why, they treat my kid like this such bad way!! )

If you want to make trial class, be prepared! And tell your kid, you will experience such bad session. But it is learning for me and my kid! Ridiculous!!!

I used to go here for intermediate gymnastics. I started in June, but sometime in August, my mother and I decided to cancel my classes because we were traveling a lot. After my "last class" I went to talk to a lady at the front desk about canceling my classes, but she told me that they needed a "30-day notice" before canceling?? (Note: I was gonna be gone for 2 + WEEKS for vacation the NEXT WEEK, so we really needed to cancel) Since we couldn't do ANYTHING about this we ended up paying for the whole month even though I TOLD them I wouldn't be there and wanted to cancel 🤦🏽‍♀️ By the time we got back from our trip I was ready to start my classes again only to find out I was KICKED OUT OF MY CLASS because of my absence THAT I TOLD THEM ABOUT! Horrible experience!!!! I thought that SGA was better than this, but I was proved wrong. I do not recommend this place.

Clean positive atmosphere. Great viewing area for parents. Continually upskilling and working on form. They discuss why drills are important. Their groups are quite large, however they split them up and set up stations for them to rotate. The coach will work one station to spot them and help them with upskilling.
The coaches look like they want to be there. Coaches are engage with their students in a positive way. High fives and marking successes for each individual! It feels like every coach knows your kid. They are happy to assist parents with questions and concerns. I don’t feel weird about asking. I know they will give me actual information.

My daughter loves her class at SGA! It’s a large, clean facility and they offer a lot of classes. They often have fun nights for $25 where the kids play games and have open gym. I took one star off because the coaches don’t really communicate with the parents or offer feedback. But if you ask, they will gladly give it. My daughter moved up to intermediate from beginner after I asked and they evaluated her. It’s a bit pricey too, $150 for 1.5 hour class. $100 for 1 hour class. But in my opinion, it’s the nicest gym in this area. Overall, we love SGA!

This is the first review I ever wrote.
First I want to remind people, there is no such thing called trial class in this place. If you want to try the class, you will have to pay for the full month tuition. If you are not sure you like one of the classes, be careful about the payment. Because if you don’t like the first class, you get trapped to finish the full month. The manager is also rude enough when we asked for a refund for the remaining class( for first month because we were forced to pay full month to try the class)!
The reasons we don’t like the class, the coach we experienced just tries to make kids feel exhausted stating that builds kids muscles, while without correcting any wrong movement. The one of the assistant coaches just stand aside watching, no guidance or help to kids( the other assistant coach is very good in showing kids the right movements). Think about the result of wrong movements day by day. Also the younger kids(age 5) are always at lowest priority in using the downstairs equipments, and there are various “reasons” keeping ~15 kids upstairs(which is more suitable for age 2-3 kids) , who should be exposed to the right equipments.
This is a place that collects money, not a place really puts kids development in high priority. I would never bring my kid again!

Both of our kids come for gymnastics and the experiences are mixed. My six year old likes it and her coaches are very nice and patient. My younger one, who is three and eight months, is less so. He is still learning how to follow instructions and gets completely ignored by the coach since day one. Almost every time, my wife and myself had to take turns to deal with him for the entire 45 minutes, and the three coaches hardly help (on average the class size is seven). Today, one of them complained that my son wouldn’t follow her instructions (to be clear she is telling the truth) when I am also trying to help him follow, and asked me about his age. Frankly, taking this class is more exhausting than probably any other activity (outdoor, reading). So we are never going to come again even though we need to pay for the rest of the month. Here is my recommendation: If your kid cannot follow let’s say 80% of the instructions, I would strongly recommend against going here. Otherwise I hope you are of better luck.

Our daughter goes here for Gymnastics. Very spacious, great Staff with good attitude. They have made some changes now so that parents and Guardians can go inside the facilitie and sit next you where the kids are being trained.

For beginner classes they have senior staffs paired up with junior kids(staffs). It's been only few days now so i cant comment on coaching yet. I will keep the review updated based on feedback from my daughter.

We love SGA! We had a birthday party here for my two girls, and they claimed it was “the best party ever”! Kids ages ranged from 5-11, and all kids had a blast. Coach Destiny made the party extra special with her personal touches to the decorations, and she kept the kids busy with games and challenges throughout the party. We were there for 2 hours, and had to drag the kids from the gym at the end - no one wanted to leave! My girls have already asked for their birthday parties to be there again next year!

My daughters started going here about 5 years ago, one of them loving it and progressing to the excel team. Generally it has been a very positive experience, especially the previous year of excel team. Unfortunately this year of excel for us has been plagued with a variety of issues; poor communication, odd runaround with team leo order that eventually just got refunded, coach turnover. The latest thing that is really bugging me is a new coach who my daughter has expressed multiple times as being condescending and belittling to her. The new coach is more strict than the girls are used to, which by itself I consider a good thing, but I do not believe strictness & discipline require mocking or being snarky saying that if her ankles are sore (from tendonitis) maybe she should just go home. It is unacceptable to not take injuries seriously and make the kid feel bad for doing what the doctor recommended (i.e. let coach know when tendonitis gets aggravated so she can do an alternate exercise).

Great gymnastics center, plenty spacious, a lot of equipment. Easy to get to, right off Aviation Parkway, between RDU and MVL, close to N Raleigh.

We really liked the courses for advanced girls, they also have a competitive level for girls who have advanced past recreational but not quite ready for the big commitment for travel competitive team (Superior Stars, something Gymcarolina did not offer!) We did this program for 2 years, practices twice/ week, plus 4 competitions within driving distance from home (no Crazy travel!). Girls got plenty of competition and lots of good experience.

Overall my daughter really enjoyed Superior, the coaches are fun, challenging, push you as far as you can go! Very happy with Jordan and Krystal, who run the gym, highly recommend this gym!

Superior Gymnastics has been a wonderful experience for our family. My 8 yo daughter has been on the competitive team at SG since last May (we moved from another gym in the area). She has grown stronger physically and mentally and loves the sport and is always eager to go to practice. The coaches here love the sport and sincerely care about the gymnasts. The facility itself is great imo. It has separate sides for recreational/competitive gymnastics giving all the gymnasts the room they need. There is something for everyone here- fun recreational classes (all ages and levels), different types of competitive teams (STAR, Xcel, USAG compulsory and optional), birthday parties, track out and summer camps, parents' night out, and open gym to name a few. I appreciate that there is an open door to check in with the coaches and owner about my daughter and her progress/goals, and that they are supportive of her activities beyond the gym. There are fun extras for the competitive team too- a buddy system between the gymnasts for support/encouragement, holiday celebrations, community service opportunities, etc. This gym is a special place to our family and I recommend it to anyone interested in gymnastics.

This place is horrific. If your child isn't getting bullied in school and you want to keep it that way, don't bring them here! Krystal has to be one of the worst athletic facility owners I have ever met! It's like she feels a sense of entitlement to be paid to coach USAG gymnast, but don't you dare expect her to actually coach! Oh no, they just want to be able to sit in front of the mirror and talk for 4 hours, and hope your kid's can remember what they learned the last time the had a real coach from another school. Then they can all play follow the leader and sponge off each other, learning different levels that the girl next to you is doing. All Justin is going to do is say "bend" or "point" that's about the extent of his coaching vocabulary, unless it's your kid's turn to be the bullseye bullying target of the day or week, then he knows a few more words. Oh and come armed with a wheelchair or crutches because injuries are constant around there. They don't spot at all times, because that would require them to do what? You guessed it, "coach." If you want the best for your child there are other options. If your child is soft spoken or sensitive please..... don't drop them off there. I hate to see kids turn away from something they love because of a sadistic adult that ridiculed them regularly.

We've been taking our 2.5 year old daughter here for 3.5 months now. She really loves it, and we feel it gives her a great opportunity to work on her balance, strength, confidence, and willingness to keep trying even when she doesn't do something correctly right away. The teachers are really great with the preschoolers. In light of the older reviews, I'm guessing a lot has changed in the past couple years, which is not surprising given that the teachers for this age are usually fairly young and probably aren't around for more than a couple years. I took away a star because we've had a couple billing issues; they were sorted out with (my) patience and repeated follow ups.

This gym does not cater to preschoolers. The teachers don't give the kids positive experiences and also don't speak kindly to the moms. I took my daughter (3 yrs old) there and one of the teachers was very rude. My daughter was crying because she was nervous since it was her first class and I asked the teacher to take her. The teacher said,'what do you want me to do, there are 7 other kids in the class'. I was told that the only way to talk to the owner about this was to email her and she'd get right back to me. I emailed her more than 2 weeks ago and still have not heard from her...
