The equipment is unfortunately quite old and poorly maintained. Some machines that ought to be bolted to the ground are, making them unsafe to use. The foam in the two flat benches is so broken down that it is hard to keep balance while laying on them. Things are pretty cramped, as well.

75% of the treadmills are out of order. Certain staff member will use membership information in the computer to find you on social media and then constantly try and contact you with non membership related topics. Overall gym is in need of a major face lift. For the price of the membership the gym should be in much better condition with updated equipment (both cardio and strength training). I have been to several snap fitness locations around the country and this is by far the worst one

Everyone please listen to all the negative reviews and don’t make the same mistake I did. I drove 50 mins to work out, and I parked, got out of my truck and walked up, and the doors are all locked. There are ppl working out inside and an employee at the desk, and not a single person let me in, much less looked in my direction. Knocked multiple times, waved, literally made eye contact with an employee and multiple patrons, and no one budged. So the point of the story is that they have plentyyyyy of money and don’t need anymore. So please give it to someone who’s actually trying to conduct a business.

Only gym in town. If you’re looking for a regular gym, go elsewhere. If you’re visiting, it’s 10 for a day or 25 for a week. Decent amount of free weights and weight machines. Four treadmills. One has an out of order sign. One cuts off after 36 seconds. One skips if the speed is above 3. One “works” and it is like running on gravel it is so bumpy.

The gym equipment itself is fine, but the service is terrible. I wanted to cancel my service and the person on the phone told me "They couldn't find me in the system so it could take a few months". I said the corporate number didn't help me if they could look into it for me. They said "sure" and hung up without getting my name or number. The next day I spoke to a different person who cancelled my membership without any problems. The day after that I received a charge on my card for another month. I'm still working to have this corrected, but no one ever answers the phone.

The price is way too expensive for the services offered. Many other club's prices are much cheaper and offer things such as showers, locker rooms and other amenities. I have gone to the 4 surrounding Snap Fitnesses in our area and NONE have showers, locker rooms etc. Heck, the one in Havelock doesn't even have a water fountain! While the drive is a bit more, I can pay $20 a month rather than $40 to go to Planet Fitness and get all amenities and FREE personal training sessions with the membership. While I love the simplicity of the gym I can't swallow an extra $20 and receive just a simplistic gym. I like to work out early in the morning before work, but to have to work out and then drive all the way back home to shower before work was a deal killer, especially for the price. There should be price options for the lesser included gyms. I mean come on, $40 for no showers, and in some cases no water fountains??? Bad form. I discussed this with the owner and was pretty much told that due to the area they could not put in showers and that due to the scarcity of gyms in the area that that was the pricing.
