This occurred at the Charlotte location but leaving this review for multiple locations as apparently this is a corporate policy… also bc I’ve taken classes at Solidcore gyms across the nation so I am a customer of all of these locations.

Bought a pass in August while on vacation. All of the classes I could take were fully booked. Never got off the waitlist. I will be back in December. Turns out my pass expired. What is this, milk?

Contacted the location and they won’t reconsider. I asked the reason that a workout class pass should need to expire. They gave no reason except that it’s a corporate policy. There is ZERO reason for a workout class pass to expire. I paid for a service, let me use it. Such a shame.

The Solidcore workout is misguided on many levels. The routines are "scripted" and allow no room for unscripted personal modifications (unless you are really in tune with your body and aren't worried about making personal calls for what's working/not working and when to self-modify). Genuine interaction with the instructor is impossible due to the obnoxious loud music that prevents personalized cues or modifications to be given. Given that modifications are "best practice" in any type of exercise, this absence of adjustments causes unwise strain on the body. This could lead to micro or macro injury over time. You quickly realize that the instructors have been given a script they've been taught which feels very robotic and corporate. You will be in a social vacuum from start to finish which means there's no chance for community / social connection with others in the class. Go to a real pilates class but stay away from chains like Club Pilates that have the same feel. Really unfulfilling for a person like myself who looks for authenticity and real connection. It's like opening up a can of cheap soup thinking you're eating something good for you. Think cold exercise "fast food". You deserve better.

Love all the instructors, they have been so welcoming and helpful!! The studio is brand new and so clean. I started with taking a lot of the starter classes to get my form down, since it can be really confusing the first few classes you take. It is an amazing workout! I am still sore for days after, and I’m a few weeks into taking classes. The parking is also validated which is nice, the area is under a ton of construction right now so it can be confusing to find, so definitely give yourself some extra time before class to figure it all out.

I’m so thankful for this location opening and saving my experience with Solidcore. I’m an unlimited member and came from a location that left a bad taste in my mouth. Everything about this location is great. The staff is friendly and welcoming, the coaches are so helpful and have amazing energy, and the studio is gorgeous. So happy to see this place 3-4 times a week.
