I’m posting this to be constructive rather than negative.

I’ve heard great things about SolidCore workouts, so I decided to give it a try through Class Pass. However, I don’t think I’ll be returning, even though I enjoyed the low-impact strength training element.

The coach I had was not very motivating and difficult to understand. Her tone was very monotone. On the positive side, she did more form correction than I’ve seen in other similar classes like Jet Set.

One thing I didn’t like was being called out as “new.” It’s welcoming at first, but it wasn’t my style. I felt like something outside of my control was happening to me. I was next to someone who was new and not doing many movements or stopping early. These classes rely on copying others, and it did impact my workout. I was at the end of the row, so I had no visibility into what others were doing. The reformers were so close together that we kept hitting each other.

Unfortunately, I don’t think I’ll be returning. It’s a bummer because I really liked this format compared to other HIIT reformer Pilates classes I’ve taken.

As a NPC Bikini body builder and a graduate of UNCC for Exercise Science, this was the worst group fitness class I have ever taken. Although it was our fault we were running late due to vendors setting up the coach took no time to make us feel welcome or even acknowledged us walking into class. Which not expecting to be the center of attention obviously but some instruction would have been nice. There was little instruction and just a lot of passive aggressive shaming and calling out during the class. I am a very active person and a very experienced person in all things exercise and this class was not it at all and pushing people out of their ROM to do the exercises “correctly” is not safe at all especially for beginners. I hope it was just a bad teacher experience because I have had lots of friends rave about how good they are. Will probably be advising not to take to my friends that are beginners in the fitness world….. these are the types of classes that discourage beginners to never coming back.

Genuinely obsessed with Solidcore Raleigh and the amazing coaches here. It honestly is the most welcoming, energetic, and encouraging place, which is so nice especially when you’re just starting out. I’ve been going for about 8 months. Every single class is a challenging, dynamic & rewarding workout and I love that I can always modify up or down. Shannon, Nikki & Julia are the best Dawn patrol coaches and their class are always a vibe 💗💗💗 Also thanks to Joey for making my birthday class feel fun and special. If you are thinking about trying Solidcore, stop thinking and just do it - you will love it! ☀️

I went through both Solidcore weekend trainings at Raleigh Ironworks & Durham location and gave it my full effort, but the way I was treated was unfair and unprofessional.

After completing all the required training days, I was never even allowed to finish the second mic session — which is a standard part of the process. Instead, I was abruptly asked “what’s not connecting?” and pulled from the program before being given the same fair opportunity as others. The justification given was “form issues,” but I wasn’t allowed the time or support normally provided to correct them.

What made this worse is that I watched other trainees be given chances to improve and continue forward, while I was cut off without the same respect. To me, it felt like discrimination — at best, a serious inconsistency in how Solidcore evaluates and supports its trainees.

I left feeling disrespected, excluded, and like my time and effort were completely wasted. Based on this experience, I cannot recommend Solidcore as a fair or inclusive place to train or work.

I’ve been to multiple solidcore studios and Raleigh does it best. Everyone there is so kind and does an incredible job of remembering you. Not only that, but they’ve managed to foster a community there that I haven’t found at other studios. Danielle is absolutely incredible – super, super helpful in explaining memberships, the workout, and working with you to make sure you have all of your questions/comments addressed. Lastly, of course, I also have so much love for the coaches! They’ve entertained my theme ideas, taken time to help me if I’m convinced I’m doing something wrong, and all around are just fun and genuine people.

Amending my review because I’ve now taken more classes than not where the coach thinks they know what I am feeling better than I do. Respectfully, Shelby in particular needs an attitude check; girl tried to get in my way as I was leaving and argue with me.

The work is mostly good. There are a few exercises that are on the dicier side of “safe”, so for beginners it might prove injurious. The coaches are VERY young, and from what I understand, SC does not require any additional certification like NASM or ACE to become a coach. They certainly don’t require a Pilates certification, which is clear. This means they don’t fully understand kinesiology, aside from what the studio program tells them. They get a lot wrong and are really insistent about it, which is super frustrating to someone who has a lot of knowledge and a chronic joint condition that requires modifications.

Have been a solidcore member for a long time. Cannot express my excitement when I moved and learned this studio opening nearby. Danielle is so kind, helpful, and an incredible coach. The entire staff, comprised of experienced and newer coaches provides excitement and variety to the workout every time you come in. This community and workout is my favorite. It is a MUST TRY experience.

I’ve been going to this location for 3 months now and have enjoyed every class. The coaches and very encouraging and don’t make you feel belittled when you can’t do one of the workouts. My boyfriend has taken a couple of classes with me and his comment afterwards is always “That was a great workout!” Definitely recommend taking a class with Sally K, Julia S. And Danielle!

Very challenging classes and great instructors! I normally get bored of doing the same group fitness classes all the time but I’ve been doing this almost a year and still love it, love the different muscle focuses and fast pace! Highly recommend!

I’ve never taken Pilates style classes anywhere else so I can’t compare it to others but, every class I’ve taken has truly been challenging! I first took it to give myself a break from heavy lifting and 60+ classes later I can’t give it up! I’ve incorporated it in my routine completely and love it!

Let me tell you [solidcore] will have you sore in places you never even knew you had!! I was a complete beginner to working out when I tried [solidcore] for the first time back in November. I’ve stuck with it and I’m about to hit my 40th class this week. It pushes you physically to the point of failure but it also pushes your mind to go harder!!! I’m obsessed and bought the 12 month commitment membership and go about 3 times a week. My favorite coaches are Shelby, Barbie, Danielle, and Chante. It never gets easier but you will feel yourself getting stronger every class.💅🏼💕

I love the energy the instructors bring to challenge, modify and push you the second the blue lights come on. This has been the hardest workout in the best way possible I’ve had since moving from NJ. I thought I had a strong core but [solidcore] humbled me real quick. The slow burn and shakes. Barbie, Shannon, Danielle, Kiersten and Kailey are phenomenal with super clear instruction which helped the quick transitions. No matter what instructor you have, you’ll love. Everyone brings their own music and vibes to the room - but it’s always a good time.

You need to have a tough mindset to help you get through class but it is so worth it when those lights come back up.
