At Southeast School of Dance, we provide the highest quality instruction in an energetic environment. We confidently guarantee our instructors are carefully chosen and highly qualified. Our dance instructors hold degrees from UNCG and UNCSA dance departments and are certified in Progressing Ballet Technique.
We emphasize ballet technique to ensure dancers develop a strong foundation. Our program allows students to develop their individual artistry and explore their own creativity. In addition to creating strong dancers; we strive to equip our students with values like respect, discipline, and strong work ethic that will benefit them for years to come–in their personal and professional lives!

Unprofessional and uncaring. We had nothing but issues with this studio and would never recommend it to anyone looking to start out.
As to your reply - don't teach toddler classes if you cannot handle toddlers. She is doing wonderfully at her new school, with none of the issues we had at yours. It was a teacher problem, not a child problem. I have heard this problem from others, including my neighbors.

Our Daughter LOVES SESD, and we do too! The staff is kind and professional. The work these young people and their instructors put in to make a one of a kind recital is top notch. We enjoy watching our little one grow and become more confident in herself while also striving to do great things. Thank you to Mrs. Katherine and her staff for an amazing experience that continues year after year!

My granddaughter has been enrolled for 18 months. Ballet has taught her poise, strengthened her confidence, and work ethic. I often find her dancing around the house. Katherine is quick to acknowledge the student's strengths and offer corrective instruction as necessary.

Great Dancing for all ages! Friendly staff! Provides strict instruction while having fun and learning new techniques! My daughter has loved dancing here and loves doing competitions also!! Tons of learning to be accomplished!! So happy we are here!! Mrs Katherine really pours her heart into the girls!! As do all instructors! They are wonderful!

My daughter took 3 classes and we decided to enroll her in another school! This Katherine lady still wants to charge us for registration fee and late fee. But is prorated the month if September because we didn't attend the entire month of September! I have no problem paying the prorated amount! But the registration and late fee is crazy to charge us. If we were white I guarantee she would be more accommodating!

Positive, professional, encouraging, engaging!!! That's what SESD is! Our daughter has been dancing at this studio, under Katherine's instruction, since she was 7. She has thrived as a dancer, developed an incredible work ethic and is encouraged every step of the way. She is now 13 and seriously considering pursuing a career in dance, largely due to the awesome experience and instruction she has had in many areas of dance at SESD!
What you WON'T find at SESD is a negative, competitive environment...and absolutely NO body shaming as many other dance studios do. We love SESD!

We love SESD, my little girl has been dancing there since she was 2 1/2. Mrs Katherine has been great with her from the start, she was very shy and wouldn’t dance at her 1st recital. Now she is apart of the Dance Team and loves to dance and wants to take every class possible!! She has grow to love dance and be the best dancer, and continues to grow and learn so much because someone like Mrs. Katherine let her take her time and become her self!! We could not imagine dancing any where else. We have a great dance family there!!!

Love this dance studio! We had to move here a year ago because the dance studio we were at closed. It was very sad for us, we even talk about taking a break from dance. We are so thankful we find Southeast School of Dance! My daughter love Ms Katherine from the moment she meant her! She also loves Ms Alex too which is a big deal for my daughter. It normally takes her time to warm up to people but not with Katherine and Alex! She has also grown a ton this year as a dancer! If you are looking for a great dance studio I would encourage you to come check it out!
