I’ve been coming to Spark for about a month now, and I have to say it’s one of the better gyms I’ve been to!

After years of being uncomfortable at a gym and not knowing where to start I’ve finally found my place! Spark is the only gym I've ever enjoyed going to on a regular basis that I have stuck with. It's for all fitness levels and they make it easy to develop a routine. There's no guess work. They have all the workouts laid out for you and are available to explain away anything. Injuries, limitations, no problem. They can handle it all. Spark is the place to go to get stronger and gain confidence. Show up, put in the work, get results, repeat.

In May of 2023 my doctor had put me on medicine for insulin resistance and it helped me to lose 50 pounds in 4 months, but I lost a lot of muscle and knew I needed to go back to the gym. I had prior weightlifting experience from 17-25, but now in my 40's I had lost my motivation. The trainers at Spark have been very helpful in making sure that I keep going, keep on track, and also changing my workouts as my goals have shifted in the 8 months since I joined. Within 2 months of joining I was able to come off the medicine for insulin resistance, as I no longer needed it. Now, 8 months later, I have put back on about 10-15 lbs. of muscle, I can sleep without my CPAP machine, and I am nearly as strong as I was when I was in my 20's. I can't recommend them enough. Where do I begin! The coaches and members of Spark have truly changed my life. I broke my collarbone in half a few years ago and got to the point where I couldn't even carry a gallon of milk. I started coming to Spark in 2022 and saw changes in every aspect of my life. I sleep better, I feel better, and have confidence in myself that was once lost. The coaches are patient, understanding, and most importantly kind. They will push you but never beyond anything they know you can't do. Joining Spark Fitness has been a very positive change regarding my typical gym experience. For years I have wanted to find a place where I felt like I "fit'. Spark Fitness is that place. In the past I have felt very self-conscious and embarrassed to ask for help. At Spark, I feel very comfortable.

Every coach at Spark has been extremely supportive - starting with the initial conversation and continues at each workout. They greet you by name, ask if you need assistance, show you how to execute the set, ensure that your form is good and help you adjust when it is not…….. and push you to go harder when they see you need a push!

In addition to the coaches, the other people that are in the gym are super friendly.

Walking into a new gym by yourself for the first time can be intimidating - at no time have I felt that at Spark.

Spark also has a great app that plans your workouts and tracks your progress!

I began going to Sparks about six months ago after seeing such a transformation it had on my wife who was already a member. We were both working out at separate gyms but she was quickly getting results I was not. Honestly I was hesitant to go, I was coming from a kinda big box gym that was all machines and no personal interaction or guidance. Going into a new place and getting into personalized fitness felt like a looming task. Man was I wrong, Nathan and Brealon ( along with all the other coaches) really go above and beyond. They want to know what YOUR goal is and what limitations you may have, then they work with you to reach these goals. From Youth Sports Performance to adults needing assistance with bad joints and nutrition to older clients working on muscle and mobility they work with them all while never forgetting what it was like being "the new guy". The only thing you have to do alone is walk in the door, they got you from there.

This is my fifth week, day 2 and I wake up looking forward to working out. All the trainers at Spark are kind, patient, and are just as goal oriented as each client. I knew I wanted to make a change in my health and the thought if figuring it out alone was overwhelming. My first meeting set my anxious mind at ease. I've been thinking about a review for a few days now. I'll start from the very beginning.

Last year, I walked into this gym, heavy, out of breath, overweight, depressed, and needing help. They gave me an "intro workout" and I did it. Apparently, I wasn't ready for the help.

Fast forward to late January/early February of this year. I walk back into the gym, meet with one of the coaches, and start (or restart) a journey that would take me to some incredible new levels. I haven't looked back since.

Spark fitness is performance gives results. You will see results. It may not show on the scale or in the mirror, but you will see results. Since coming to Spark I have dropped weight and size. I weighed over 300 lbs, now I'm down 50+ lbs. I wore a size 3X shirt and 44 waste, now I'm down to an XL shirt and 38 waste.

I'm also lifting weights I never thought I would get to. In February of this year, my squat max was 235lbs. It now is 335lbs. My bench press was 155lbs. It now is 205lbs. My deadlifts were around 335lbs. I deadlifted 545lbs. Not everyone will experience the same results. But you will see results if you show up, put in work, and be patient.

Everyone has different challenges, struggles, and victories. What I love the most about Spark is that these coaches work with you through all different obstacles and push you. When you want to quit they don't let you. They know you can do more (after all, their favorite thing to say is "add more weight!"), even when you think you can't. These coaches genuinely care about you.

I've actually written more than I thought I would. So if any of those reasons aren't good enough, at least come for the music selection! You never know what you're going to get!!

Spark Sports Performance’s dedication to their youth athletes is unparalleled. They took time to understand my son’s goals and customize his workouts accordingly. They have a vast knowledge about exercise and nutrition. They worked with my son's skills coaches and customized workouts for baseball.

The Spark App made it incredibly easy for my son to workout remotely. He was able to plug in workouts that fit his schedule in between team practices. If he ever had a question about an exercise Brealon was a text away for clarification. Also, frequent check-ins to make sure everything was going well, and progress was taking place was nice. It took me a while to take the leap to visit…being out of shape makes it hard to walk into a gym cold turkey. I decided to test it out with a Mothers Day special to see if it was something I would enjoy for a month. Could I do it? Would I fit in? Would I feel intimidated? Would I stick with it? Its been almost 3 months now and there’s no way I’m stopping now. I feel so strong, both mentally and physically and the confidence I’ve gained in myself is incredible. The motivation and support you get from every one of the coaches and other members (actually, we’ll call them friends) is unmatched. Everyone speaks, high fives, gives an encouraging word or a smile.

One of my favorite benefits is having the workout written out on the app so I know what I’m doing before I even go in. In the past, I didn’t lift weights because I just didn’t know what to do. Now, the plan is there to follow, the trainers are there to tell me to add weight, and the equipment is there….I just have to show up. It really is that easy.

I was looking to switch up my gym workouts and this was where I ended up. It’s awesome to have your workout on the board ready to go, all you have to do is show up! The workouts were setup in a way I wasn’t use to as well, strength training with metabolic conditioning at the end. I am sure that a lot of people have an idea of a gym. Walk in, try to figure out what you are going to work on, work out, walk out. It can be a struggle just to stay motivated to try and find ways to get fit, work past plateaus and reach your goals. Spark Fitness and Performance is not built that way. First of all the individuals running the gym are not employees, they call themselves coaches and they mean it. They take a personal interest in helping you reach your personal goal. You can choose to follow their daily plan they have on the board or you can work directly 1 on 1 with them and they can develop a personal plan for you so that you are able to find the success you are after. They also get involved in making you stronger/faster/fitter. The design they have to keep the coach/member ratio small helps make sure that while you are there they are able to help focus on you and ensure your doing the work right, and doing it well. I have also like the fact that there is a real community of people you get to workout with who you get to know and they get to know you. The support, encouragement and accountability that comes from that helps to drive you and ensure that even on those days you don't feel like "hitting the gym" you find a way to be there. This gym makes a difference!

I have never written a review before but felt the need to give Spark the credit they deserve! From high school until the last few years I considered myself a gym rat and had been to quit a few gyms over the years, I can 💯 percent say Spark is the best gym I have ever been to. The first day I walked in I was feeling a little insecure bc it had been a few years since I had really been in a gym setting but as soon as I walked in I was greeted with friendly welcoming smiles and an eagerness to get me off on the right path! They were very attentive and helpful with anything I needed. Have you been staying away from gyms bc at past places you felt not good enough to be there bc of your athletic ability or felt like the members there were not kind or judging you, well it’s time to ditch the half way at home workouts and go check out Spark bc the members there are very friendly and even helpful when your trying to figure out how to do something or need that extra push of motivation. I have even made a few new friends from this gym! If your new to working out or like me it had been a few years since I had really worked out and was REALLY out of shape and felt like I wouldn’t be able to do some of the workouts, the trainers there can teach you modified ways to make things a little easier in the beginning until you feel more comfortable/stronger to do them. I had issues with my lower back and hip that caused me discomfort doing certain movements but the trainers taught me modified ways of doing exercises to prevent pain and even showed me exercises and stretches to help the discomfort I was having. Like I said before I had been to several gyms before but at those gyms I was only a contract signed to get my monthly membership, my absolute favorite part about Spark is you are not just a contract signed you are a person with goals and they want to do everything in there power to help you reach your goals. There were times I would slack off from the gym and would go a week (or more) without coming in and someone would reach out to me and give me that accountability I needed to get myself back on track towards my goals. That right there showed me they didn’t just want my money they cared about my goals. I LOVE the workouts there, they change every week so you don’t get bored with them and they are challenging! The trainers there will push you to be your best self but in a good way, to get that last rep or go just a little faster to get those calories burning! A big part of someone’s weight loss journey is nutrition, they are not nutritionist but they are very knowledgeable about nutrition and can point you in the right direction for getting your weight loss started off to a great start! At many gyms the ppl that work there are sitting behind the desk the whole time, not at Spark! Everyone that works there are always out on the gym flooring motivating, teaching and assisting there members! Have kids that are serious about sports? Bring them a long for a sports evaluation and sign them up for one of there many tailored sports programs! I literally could go on and on about Spark but the best way to learn about them is take that chance and go there yourself. If you are someone that stays away from new things or even things that seem might they may be too hard, my advice is to try something new, give yourself some grace and take a leap of faith in to something that could probably be the best thing you could do for your mental health, body health and confidence!

I can not say enough wonderful things about Spark Fitness and the staff. My daughter Is participating in their volleyball sports training program. The workouts are very challenging and they push her hard. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and supportive. Sam’s vertical jump improved 3 inches in the first three months of training. She loves it there and looks forward to her workouts. I feel they are invested in her success and have made lifelong members. I wanted to find a location that would challenge me and keep me interested in the workouts. I needed guidance on how to progress (increase strength and endurance). The coaches here have done exactly that. The workouts range in variety and the coaches are quick at correcting form, adding a challenge to the workout when it looks ‘too easy’, and great at motivating and educating. Regardless of your fitness level, there is a place for you at Spark. The other members are friendly and they all have the same goal in mind- to progress.

Never did I imagine I would stick with an exercise routine consistently, besides running, for over 4 months and counting. My 11 year old daughter started the 3 month athletic performance program at Spark several months ago and immediately loved it.
