My daughter has been a student at Storytellers Dance Academy for three years, specifically in the recreational hip-hop class, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience.

The instructors are not only incredibly talented, but also exceptionally patient and dedicated. They have a unique way of making every class fun and engaging, which has truly ignited my daughters passion for dance. She has grown so much as a dancer and as a person during her time there.

What sets this studio apart is that it is such a supportive and welcoming community! The other students and their families are warm and friendly, creating an environment where my daughter feels like she truly belongs.

The studios commitment to excellence is evident in the end of year recitals and performances. It’s amazing to see the progress these young dancers make!

I highly recommend Storytellers Dance Academy to anyone looking for a place for their child can learn grow and have a blast doing it!

My 7 year old LOVES Storytellers Dance Academy... The owners and instructors go out of there way to make dance class so much fun. My daughter has learned so much and looks forward to her weekly class.

I can’t say enough good things about SDA. My daughter loves it here and her teachers are amazing. Robert is quick to respond with any questions and is super personable. Their end of year recital is great. Costumes are adorable and choreography is perfect for each age group. We love this dance studio!

Our experience at Storytellers Dance Academy has been nothing short of amazing. My daughters switched to SDA about 6 years ago, my oldest went straight to the competition team and my youngest started in the recreational program but after a year transitioned to the competition team as well.The technique and skill growth since coming to SDA has been incredible to watch but the best part has been the welcoming, supportive environment. This team has become more than friends, they are more like family, from Robert, the owner/director, to the other teachers to the other dancers, everyone is so encouraging and they are my girls biggest cheerleaders both in and out of the studio. The staff clearly expresses the expectations and they are in constant communication with the dancers and parents which I appreciate. If you are looking for a studio in the southeast Charlotte area, SDA is a great place to go.

This studio is AMAZING! I began dancing at Storytellers about six years ago and I graduated in 2020. Because of the amazing staff and teachers, not only did I grow exponentially as a dancer... but I also grew as a person. I credit this studio with all of my abilities, technique, and skills as a dancer. Every competition we went to was a positive experience, no matter what happened! Robert made sure we knew that he was always proud of us, but kept a healthy balance by giving us corrections and going over the judge's critiques with us after each competition so we could improve even more. The staff is also very personable. They care so much about each and every student and will do anything to help them succeed and make them feel welcome and loved. I could go on and on about how great this studio is but I'm going to wrap it up now:) I am now a sophomore in college and have joined the Advanced Adults class as well as take the summer classes. I love my SDA family! They are such a blessing to me💙💛

Love love love this studio. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming. The owner, Robert, is wonderful. The communication from the studio is amazing regarding everything from covid restrictions to recital plans from day one up thru the day of performance. The recital was fantastic with so many talented dancers. I can’t say enough good things!

Storytellers is the best place to dance from the little ones all the way through adults! From going to competitions to seeing all of the dancers during recital time, it’s so easy to see that SDA is a special place. Not only are the teachers incredibly talented, but they also show their kids how to be supportive to each other and even towards students at other studios. They have it all - amazing technique, wonderful choreography, and they have the most fun. You step into the studio and immediately get a sense of family. I grew up dancing and after moving to Charlotte I tried out a few adult classes around the area before finding SDA. This will now be my third year and I can’t imagine going anywhere else - the night I have dance is absolutely the best night of the week!

Six years ago my oldest daughter wanted to be a competitive dancer, and so we began exploring options in Southeast Charlotte. From the moment we walked in the doors at SDA, we knew that this was the studio for our daughter. The studio director Robert Brower, not only helped her develop technically as a dancer, but provided an environment that fostered individuality and confidence! A year later my younger daughter couldn't wait to join the competition team, and over the last few years they have both grown into incredible dancers. The staff at SDA (Robert, Jennifer, Breanne and Kristi) have become like a second family and the studio is definitely my girls "home away from home." I am so proud that my girls get to compete with such a talented and encouraging group of dancers!!

Our experience with Storytellers has been nothing short of amazing. My daughter has grown with her skill, talent and confidence. As we enter into our fifth year with SDA, I can't imagine having her dance anywhere else. We started with their recreation program, and quickly moved to the competition team. My daughter has excelled with her teachers and her technique at SDA. While the dance growth is wonderful, it is not the primary reason we love Storytellers. SDA has become our family away from home. Every member of the SDA staff makes not only my daughter feel a part of the SDA family, but the rest of our family as well. It is not very often that you see an organization that puts an emphasis on doing your best while maintaining fun and memory making. We love SDA and can't wait to see what this season has in store.

We love Storytellers Dance Academy! My daughters thrive in the fun and encouraging environment that SDA creates. I have been especially impressed with their growth in skill, technique and soaring confidence since switching to this studio 5 years ago. However, what we love most about SDA is the sense of family that we have experienced since the moment that we first walked through the door. Storytellers is a great place to take your children for dance. The environment is encouraging and about having fun. The teachers are incredibly talented and kind with the students. I wouldn’t want my daughter to go anywhere else!
