I've learned a lot in a short time and there's still so much to learn. Slow is smooth, smooth is fast. The basics are essential. The details are what make it. Excellent instruction great time and good people.

I only have good things to say about Temple! Quality gym with quality people. I feel equally challenged and encouraged by both the coaches and other members here! After only a couple months I’ve really come to love the sport and always try to make it to as many classes as I can each week.

This is the place to come if you are wanting to learn Muay Thai. I came from a gym that was amazing (in another state) and I wasn’t sure I would find that in Asheville but I DID! The instructors teach technique and do it in a way that’s not intimidating. Classes are fun and a great workout. So grateful we found Temple.

The training was great! Eden was very chill and skilled! I would have loved to learn and train here but I’m not sure that I was a good fit for others. I wish this gym well and if you are looking for Muay Thai training, this is the place here! 🙏🏼

Temple is a great gym! I trained here for a week while I was visiting Asheville. The classes are structured very well and everyone drills at the end of class which was super fun. The students were all great to work with and had good technique and control. 1/1 sessions are very affordable and the gym had a nice vibe. I would definitely recommend temple to anyone that is looking to train whether it’s your first time or you have experience.

Went for an intro class and had a great time. I was having to be sensitive to an injury and didn't want to spar with anyone that wasn't a staff member. The owner took the time to be my sparring partner and took an hour of his time to work with me. I really appreciate that and have told may folks about my awesome experience. Although I haven't been able to go back, just yet, I will and have certainly sung the praises of TMT to many others. I experienced above and beyond customer service and I won't forget it. Until later....
Seemed like a really cool place to learn as well.

I really like this place! Well structured classes teaching proper Muay Thai by experienced coaches. Coach Jesse and Alex lead by example and foster a respectful, friendly and welcoming environment. I've trained (a long time ago in galaxy far far away ...) in Sweden and in Thailand for a short stint, and these classes are the real thing. I also appreciate the fact that it's ok that I don't go that often, everytime I walk in I still feel welcomed. So whether you're looking to compete or just workout for the fun of it- I highly recommend Temple Muay Thai!
Keep up the good work guys!

The instructors are great and clearly care about their students development -- regardless of our goals. I really like the culture of the gym. It's open, friendly and welcoming with a wide variety of students (age, athleticism, experience, etc) represented -- ranging from hobbyist looking for a fun way to get / stay in shape to individuals who are actively competing.

I have been going here for several months now, and absolutley love it! The coaches are patient and constantly give feedback to help you improve. It has a great atmosphere and in my opinion is a criminally underrated gym. If you want to get into Muay Thai and you're in the Asheville area, then this is the place to be!

I can’t stress how great this place is. As a woman that was soo intimidated trying Muay Thai for the first time, I was so relieved when I saw how dedicated the coaches are to the craft and students at all levels. I did not feel like I was getting thrown in to something new because they take the time to break things down and come over to help with form and morale. Not only are the coaches wonderful, but the students really encourage eachother and have made me feel more confident in doing something so outside of my comfort zone. Jesse and Alex have a great thing going here.

Jesse is a great instructor. I'm 49 with some longstanding lower back issues and no previous martial arts experience. I started trying to get back in shape a few months ago. After working out on my own for awhile, I wanted to challenge myself. The classes at Temple Muay Thai have certainly done that. Jesse is a skilled, smart, and patient instructor, and creates a great environment for learning. The other students are supportive and always willing to help. I'm also taking early morning boxing classes with John, another fantastic coach who makes you want to work. Couldn't be happier with my experience here. They motivate you to get better no matter your experience/skill level and you get a great workout while you're learning new tactics/techniques.

This gym is my favorite place to start the day. The coaches are super patient and great at explaining techniques in a way that makes sense. The people are varied in levels and everyone helps each other out. It’s honestly an awesome community that I feel very lucky to have found. 🫶 Plus Muay Thai is a crazy good time and a hell of a workout!

Have been lucky enough to continue my training here while in town for a short while. Coaches Jesse and Alex are knowledgeable, patient, and committed to building a gym culture that benefits and welcomes all. They thoughtfully put together relevant class exercises and tailor them to the average skill level of whoever has shown up for class, but are always willing to explain more advanced additions to people who are ready to work them. Both coaches are attentive throughout the course of a given class and provide actionable feedback based on their experience to each student as they notice areas for improvement. Both coaches work hard to foster a community that is welcoming and fun, but without losing sight of putting in the hard work required to improve. Show up with a good attitude and ready to work/learn.

Will note that I did a trial class here, and had scheduled one at another gym in town, but the vibe after my trial class at Temple was leaps and bounds ahead of the off-putting vibe I got from just a phone call with the other gym, so I decided to attend here instead -- I don't regret it and would recommend it to anyone else.

5 months ago, after some life changing events occurred, I decided to redirect my energy and focus on physically and mentally improving myself. Joining Temple Muay Thai was one of the best decisions I made towards that goal. At the time, I had zero experience with martial arts of any kind. Jesse is a patient, knowledgeable instructor with a passion for the sport. Classes are engaging and fun. Everyone there, from the advanced fighters to the newbies, are kind and considerate- just a great group of guys and girls. There’s an all around good vibe in the gym. I look forward to classes on Tuesdays and Thursdays! Try it out, you won’t regret it!

Jesse is an awesome instructor at Temple, teaching what I'd call no-nonsense, competition style Muay Thai. You don't get lost in the shuffle like I have found at other gyms, and it seems like Jesse is constantly changing the flow of drills to compensate for areas in which he wants students to improve. The workout is great, but there is no overbearing pressure in the fun and safe classroom environment. I highly recommend Temple Muay Thai for all ages and levels of experience, from pro fighters to beginners young and old. Members are friendly and inclusive.
Membership is flexible and prices are excellent!

I’ve been coming in and out of Muay Thai for a couple years now and struggling to stay committed to my health. Although I’ve disappeared at times, Jesse the head coach at Temple Muay Thai, has never given up on me and always welcomed me back with open arms. I’ve been back and consistent for a month now and starting from scratch. I’m fired up for the sport and Jesse and the team at Temple Muay Thai are changing my life for the better. Jesse does not take short cuts. Clearly breaks down the fundamental basic footwork with proper technique until it becomes a natural muscle memory. (Which SOME gyms only shows you once on your trial run and then skips to combos ASAP)
He’s a great coach that pays attention to small detail to correct it from the start.
Super helpful if you’re starting out, giving you the right stance from the start. Highly suggest anyone to come check out what he has to offer. Even with experience he’s always finding ways to improve it.
