I had a very bad experience buying a tennis racquet at Chapel Hill Tennis Club. They charged me twice, and when I contacted them about it, they were very rude. There was no apology, and I was charged even more than the quoted price. I strongly recommend avoiding buying racquets here.

I mostly use the club for tennis and love it! Lots of courts, maintained well. The CHTC community is the real highlight - lots of down-to-earth, fun people.

Love it! We mostly play tennis. Easy to get a court because they have so many. Well-mananged over the last few years - steady improvements happening all the time like heated pool, better lighting for tennis, etc. Not a hoity toity country club. A friendly home for people that want to play tennis and swim. Lots of friendly people with similar interests.

They offer a pool only membership for the summer months which works really well for our family and our budget. Our 11 year old has been on the swim team since she was 7. She enjoyed that first year so much she now does year round swimming. The coaches and parent reps are excellent and the value cannot be found elsewhere. The community feel is something we are very attracted to.

It used to be good. Now they are only open on weekends if you want to use the pool. And then itβs very limited time even then.
Also it will take 20 minutes for them to cook precooked food. This is the last year I use the pool. Cost per usable hours is terrible.

Great tennis club. The courts are well-maintained and there is almost always availability. I especially like the large number of clay courts.

We came across the Chapel Hill Tennis Club when we moved to the area in 2020, and I'm so glad we did. As the name implies, this is primarily a tennis club full of people who love tennis, but it also has a large pool and a small gym. The membership fees are reasonable.
Overall, the facilities are in decent shape but there is still room for improvement. The good news is that it is trending in the right direction in terms of upkeep and improvement projects.
There are a ton of outdoor courts (18 that have a type of synthetic clay called HarTru, 6 hard courts) along with 4 indoor courts. There are also two paddle ball courts that are also lined for pickleball.
The outdoor pool is nice too. They resurfaced it in late 2021, so it looks brand new. It's open in the summer only. They have summer memberships for anyone interested in the pool only.
I've found the members and staff to be friendly and easy going. It took me a couple of months to figure out the various ways to get involved, but I eventually found my groove. There is always something going on (leagues, ladders, lessons, etc), so as long as you are slightly proactive, you'll find a way to plug in
The club has a new GM as of early 2022.

I sent an email to request information about the program and I got a reply with how much they charge and nothing else.

The best ever tennis club. Great tennis clay, hard and indoor courts. The atmosphere and tennis level of club members is incredible. It has two ball machines, two paddle courts. What else do you want?: swimming pool, gym? It has them too!
