Friendly teachers, supportive environment. My kid loved going here from kindergarten to third grade. She learned all kinds of skills, had a ton of fun, and loved her teachers! Classes are large but the kids enjoy the activities. Each class focuses on building certain skills while also having fun. The kids go through 3 stations with some freedom to rotate through activities at each station, and individual attention on a skill.

Every teacher impresses me with their playful, joyful, knowledgeable, and passionate spirit. I’ve nannied for years and have taken multiple children here- the growth, confidence, and physical & social skills gained here is beautiful to see. I can’t wait until the day I have a child of my own to take to Little Gym classes. It’s a wonderful program led my amazing people.

This place is awesome! Ms. Hamburger (Amber) is one of the most amazing teachers I’ve ever witnessed. She is patient, kind, loving, gentle, enthusiastic, warm, and fun!! I could not recommend this place enough! Both my boys absolutely LOVED it, and the only reason we are leavjng is we are moving. The teachers are ALL amazing! The way they treat the kids with respect, kindness, and love is like no other. We love Ms.Sugar, Ms. Hamburger, Ms.KitKat, and ESPECIALLY Teacher Cassie!!(my children absolutely LOVE her, she is such a bright light for the kids, she is silly, loves them, and is VERY knowledgeable on child development.). We love little gym so much. We have two little ones under 4 and they have been going here since 6 months old. They love it and get so much enrichment out of the classes. The teachers are also so wonderful - patient, kind and really focused on meeting each child where they are to be the best they can be. I wasn't sure what to expect when we first tried out the Little Gym with a freshly 1 year-old. They let us take a tryout class to see if we liked it before committing to a monthly membership. We have now been going for almost a half a year and all look forward to our Thursday evening class! My daughter has grown so much in her strength, adventure-seeking, socialization, and overall movement since starting out there. After the first few classes she was forward rolling all over the place! I started my daughter Scottie-Rae at the Little Gym on her third birthday! I wanted to start her in gymnastics as something fun to do! And it's been so much more. I am absolutely astonished at the way the teachers keep the attention span of these little kids. They teach them the skills in silly, kind, and patient ways. My daughter's confidence has sky-rocketed and now she's constantly showing me at home how she can balance and does rolls on the couch lol. She typically has Ms. Cassie as her teacher who she absolutely LOVES and is always talking about! But when she's had makeup/classes with other teachers (Ms. Star, Ms KitKat, Ms Hamburger) they have all been AMAZING as well! We look forward to the little gym every week! Every teacher we’ve come across is so patient with the kids and so kind and welcoming (we LOVEEE Amber🫶🏼). They challenge the children to go outside their comfort zone while always respecting the kids’ boundaries. They even share tips with parents on how to approach developmental milestones (this was in parent/child). Communication is always a breeze and there’s always some kind of activity outside of our weekly class that we have the option of attending. We’ve been coming since my daughter was 18 months and we love every minute.

There aren't enough words to share how much we appreciate the team at The Little Gym of Asheville. We were visiting the area for the month of July 2024 and wanted our 6 year old daughter to have some physical activity, gymnastics basics and fun with other children throughout the month. My nephew’s party was held here. The first part of the party was well organized. The two young girls lead activities. However, chaos soon ensued because they just turned the kids loose in the room to run wild. When they finally lined the kids up to go to the party room, the young girls refused to let any of the parents help their young children. As a result being served pizza, chips, and cake took FOREVER. The birthday boy and his parents wanted to open gifts, so the birthday boy started to open his gifts under the guidance of his mom. This enraged the young girls, and the birthday boy’s mom was told to stop, clean up, and exit the gym. They were about 5 mins past party time with at most 5 gift bags left to go. This happened due to them not allowing the kids in the party room on time or allowing them to have help. Kids were still being served cake by the staff at the end of the party time. The birthday boy had even started opening gifts before he could even finish his plate in order to try to get out on time. Instead of letting us clean up around him opening presents, everyone was told to exit immediately. We told the birthday boy he could finish opening his gifts on the sidewalk outside. The young leader then said that was also not allowed because it was their policy. She later said birthday gifts hurt kids’ feelings and it is their policy not to have gifts. This should have been communicated before the party, not while the birthday boy and his friends were excited to open them. The party leaders had poor time management skills, poor communication, and poor attitudes. I would definitely not recommend this place for a birthday party

In response to your reply. The parents were not pleased with everything, but did not want to cause a fuss at the party. They were not told about the no gift rule, and they were unable to leave at exactly 5:30 due to the hosts still serving the food/cake.

Our daughter has been in the birds class since she was 10 months old (she’s 17 months now) and it has been the single best baby activity we’ve signed up for! If I could give a 10 star I totally would, Just sign up now you wont regret it! We started my daughter in classes when she was 5 months old and she is now 2 years old. I truly believe the classes, her friends in the classes, and the amazing instructors have allowed her to develop in ways that she would have not been exposed to if it were not for these classes! ALL the teachers are amazing and truly care about each child. You are ALWAYS greeted with a smile when you walk in making you feel like your the best mama and child! Highly RECOMMEND!!! My kiddo has been attending the little gym in south Asheville for gymnastics for years and always looks forward to it. Ms. Rainbow & Ms. Hamburger are so wonderful and seriously have a gift with the kids. They do a great job keeping the kids on task and learning and moving but still letting them be kids. My kiddo in particular doesn’t love other kids touching her, it’s important to me that she’s not forced to let other kids touch her. Beware of this place and their scam. The gym is fine and the kids have fun, but the management is not. They make sure to drag you to the desk after your first day and sign you up for a month, but what they do not tell you is that they will draft your money every month a week or two before the month even starts. It’s not easy to read their entire policy page when you are signing your signature with a child in your arms and they know that. And they don’t even give a rats bottom about you as a person or your situation, they will NOT give you a refund for a huge misunderstanding. We signed up my daughter when she was 15 months old because she was lagging behind in her gross motor skills. Not only did she LOVE Little Gym, but it helped her to finally learn how to walk as well climb up and down from objects safely! It’s also a great environment for toddlers to experience their first semi-structured environment. They start out classes with circle time and group activities and every class has learning targets that are developmentally appropriate for your little one! The instructors are all so kind and so encouraging! They also remember all of the kids names which blows my mind. I will continue to highly recommend Little Gym if Asheville to all of the mamas I run into! Bonus: Dripolator is across the street!

We've been going since my daughter was 10 months old. She isn't very outgoing and likes to observe before participating. Love the sick policy, truly it's *chef's kiss*. I had received a gift card for this location for a Christmas present back in 2021. We live 45 minutes to an hour outside of this location and with Covid, having to work full time and tend to my children education and child care, we were not able to utilize this gift like we would had hoped. At the time of purchase there was never an actual gift certificate provided, we had only received a receipt via email that did not disclose anything else but the date of purchase and amount. I had called to get a proof of gift voucher or card, but none was provided when asked, no email or mailing was given. My father had paid $120 cash for this gift, and even though multiple communications with this company within that first year, we had to move due to not being able to stay and afford to live in the area anymore. I had exhausted all areas of fair negotiation, refund, transferring credits to another location anything to try to utilize what was paid and was rightfully ours to use as seen fit. Along with no proof of gift card and “stipulations and/or rules” we were never told, not even once that our credit would expire within just one year. This was also never disclosed to me when I had contacted again before that year expiration (would have been December 2022) back in September 2021. We were told that we could use this anytime we came back to Asheville area, in which case I did emphasize we more than likely wouldn’t be coming back and if we did, it wouldn’t be within what they say now would have expired just 3 months after our last communication. Trying to contact again just this week, the owner of this location told me I was not able to ever get a refund, no transferring to other locations, that we should have used this and that she knows someone told me that it expired in a year, but has no proof. If I would have known any of these stipulations before it was bought and provided, I would have never accepted with so many stipulations when you have Covid still spreading, bills to pay and working overtime to catch up, living an hour outside of said location and spanning all that into 8 months that I “should have used it” regardless of all that happens in life that is uncontrollable. The owner of this establishment was condescending, held no accountability that this was an error and miscommunication on their part, especially when they have no proof that I am in the wrong. Regardless of the situation, I was told that I could at least be able to use this credit with no time limit, but now that even is not acknowledged. So, its evident that this is all very frustrating with no willingness to compromise to come to a fair solution. This review has nothing to do with the classes, instructors, but the unprofessionalism I personally have had to endure, especially with the actual owner of this location. So, just to be clear with the rules of this location, make sure that if you buy a gift card, get proof of said gift card, make sure you understand the strict stipulations and you have it in writing, use your gift card within a year, there are no refunds, you cannot transfer credit to any other Little Gym Location at all and be warned of the owners misconduct if you have any issues with money you give them.

The classes are great and the kids love it.

We had an incident where a man made threatening statements towards our toddler. My spouse confronted them. They contacted the owner and said they felt uncomfortable with us.

The owner took a neutral stance, and just said we probably wouldn't come across them.

I'm not sure we take expected things to turn out differently, but this isn't the outcome we hoped for after a man was taking an aggressive tone with our kid.

Today she put her toys in the bins without assistance (something she could not do when we started) gave a high five to another mom, and did the barrel walk! all of the teachers here are SO great with the kids and SO patient with all of the children. My 4 year old daughter has been going to this location for almost a year and she looks forward to her class every week. I love Little Gym and plan to have my daughter here as long as she wants!

Our daughter has been coming here for classes and we have been blown away by all aspects of how this gym operates....particularly the kindness and attentiveness of the teachers! From the owner, Stephanie, to Ms. Amber, Ms. Madisen and all the instructors we have had the chance to interact with, they have been so engaging, patient and wonderful to our daughter and all the kids. Highly recommend!

Little Gym is awesome. I've been taking my daughter there since it was in the old location. Probably close to 3 years. The staff is amazing. The classes are so fun. My daughter is in their preschool Wonderkids program, and it is excellent. I am amazed by what she learns, and she always has fun.

My kids have been going to The Little Gym since they could walk. They always love going and since they have gotten older are able to really start learning more skills. The instructors are knowledgeable and patient, which is good for my kiddos:) Would highly recommend this gym! Very fun learning environment...

We have loved attending the classes at the Little Gym. The staff is professional, classrooms are extremely clean and safe. The teachers are amazing and my little ones are always asking is it time to go to the little gym? They get to play and learn and the teachers are amazing at making it all so much fun. We look forward to class each week!

My daughter has been going here for over almost 3 years. It's taught her so much about interacting with others. Her social skills are amazing and she understands sharing and taking turns. The activities they do also have taught my daughter to have confidence in herself, to try anything and have given her a good foundation and understanding as she takes her first steps into the gymnastic world.

All the staff, including the owner, are incredible. No words could fully explain how amazing they are with kids. They're awesome at diffusing situations when a child is upset and making them feel safe and happy. They laugh and joke with each kid and know every child's name as well as their siblings. Their dedication is obvious in their every action. They care about this program and it shows.

They also have an AWESOME program called WonderKids that goes on during the school year for kids 3-5. I just started my daughter in this 3 months ago. It's 3 hours long, so you can drop off your child and they teach them basic preschool knowledge, they get to play in the gym and learn skills and they do a craft. I've been telling all my mom friends about this program because my daughter knows the days of the weeks, she's learned how to write a few letters already and so many other important educational skills. Plus, I get a few hours to get caught up on the things I need to do. Which is priceless!

I can't say enough about how much I love this place. They've had such a huge hand in molding my daughter to be a better person. I highly recommend trying a class out so you can get an overall feeling of what I've said in this review. You won't be disappointed!

We absolutely LOVE the Little Gym. Our two year old has been going there about a year and a half. He actually re-enacts scenes from his experiences, which totally cracks us up. From blowing bubbles, to throwing balls, to shaking shakers to the beat, he loves it all. We are so grateful to the staff for creating such a wonderful environment for our child to thrive.

My 2yr-old son gets so excited every time I tell him that we are going to The Little Gym! He absolutely loves it, and it's such a great bonding activity for us. I've been taking him since before he could crawl, and now he runs and jumps around like he owns the place. The staff is top-notch, they strike the perfect balance between fun and professional, and they are so helpful and friendly. I love that there is some structure to the classes, but the kids are also free to do their own thing if they want. The length of the classes are perfect too. I couldn't recommend more highly!

My 11 month old son and I recently started taking the Thursday, 1:45 baby class here at The Little Gym. The environment is safe and fun for the babies. Miss. Amber, the instructor, is phenomenal. Every class has core movements we learn to help our baby physically, which we can emulate at home. Each class has a theme as well; strength, sameness, etc and she uses the sign language associated with the theme. Her kindness, affection and patience with the babies is incredible to watch. She is also great with the parents and I feel her attitude is what may have attracted such a large class, with often times both parents or a sibling accompanying the babies to class. Watching my baby interact with Miss. Amber, the other babies and parents gives me extreme happiness and I very much look forward to his class each week. If you’re on the fence about enrolling, my advice, take the leap!

Awesome staff my daughter loves Miss Amber!! I have 1 child in already and will most likely have my youngest sign up in the future. They have a great little gymnastics program to get your littles introduced to the ins and outs of it all. You can ever try a class to check it out. Definitely try it!!!!
