My daughter has been taking a weekly class at Little Gym since fall 2024. We started out in the Parent-Child class and recently moved up to the toddlers-only class. Going to Little Gym quickly became the highlight of my daughter’s week, and it’s in large part due to the warm, caring, personalized atmosphere the staff works so hard to create and maintain. Even though the Parent-Child class had numerous families in attendance, the amazing Ms. Janna took the time to get to know my daughter and how best to interact with her/motivate her. Because of this personalized attention, the transition was pretty seamless when it was time for my daughter to level up and start going into the gym herself in the toddlers-only class. She felt comfortable and safe with Ms. Janna, and quickly felt the same way with the toddlers-only class’ other leader, Ms. Sara. Ms. Janna and Ms. Sara work so well together and admirably meet each child where they are—whether they are ready and fearless to hop on the balance beam and cross it themselves or whether they are nervous and scared to be in the gym without mom or dad or babysitter by their side. Cannot say enough positive things about the special place that is Little Gym!!! <3

Absolutely love The Little Gym! They’ve been such a fantastic part of our daughter’s routine. One of the things I appreciate most is how flexible they are—whether it’s a last-minute schedule change or needing to make up a missed class, they’ve always worked with us to find a solution. It’s also super convenient to be able to text them instead of always having to call.

The instructors are amazing—high energy, encouraging, and genuinely great with the kids. Our daughter looks forward to every class. It's hard to separate the environment with the training for my review. I will say I have liked the coaches and the style of training. Small facility but they have a lot of rotations in setup.
Now, I don't know how much of this is in their control, but some of the other kids who attend aren't practicing safely. They seem to have no noise policy in the waiting area either and other children are running around and screaming while they wait for their siblings or class. I've got two boys and am used to a level of play in public settings but having other parents with 0 regard for anyone else is incredibly frustrating.
Guess it's worth it if you get lucky with when you go, but y'all avoid Monday evenings if you like to keep your hearing intact

I love this gym! My daughter’s been going for almost 2 months now and she has a blast every time we go. She did their track out camp for a week and Miss Kiya and Miss Chloe were so professional and patient with her (my daughter’s on the spectrum). We attend one class a week now and my girl always looks forward to it! The gym is always clean and organized and everyone is so friendly (including the other parents!). They always have fun activities with cool themes and parent survival nights are a savior 😅 My girl has found her tribe and I’m so happy I found the little gym! 💜

We LOVE the Little Gym of Cary! My daughter has been enrolled in the Little Gym of Cary classes since she was 14 months old, and over the past few years she has progressed through to each next level class based on her age. This year will be 3 years that she's been a participant at this location - and there's a reason we've continued to keep her enrolled: this location and the staff are beyond outstanding. I wish I could give them 100 stars! What I feel like is so important for me to highlight in this review is the staff's sincere willingness and flexibility in meeting my daughter where she is right now and making a lot of efforts to continue to include her in her class in a way that's not disruptive to other children and still encourage her and enable her to participate. She has recently developed a lot of separation anxiety, and it's very difficult for her to be in the gym room without my husband or me in there with her even if we are standing right on the other side of the door looking right at her through the window. The staff has been very accommodating in letting my husband or me stand right inside the door to the gym room so that my daughter feels more secure. They have been able to seamlessly find ways to encourage her to participate (which means she has to leave my side during the class, and leaving my side in general gives her a lot of anxiety) and enable her to feel reassured and confident. This flexibility and compassion is what has enabled us to continue to enjoy this activity that has been a weekly highlight for our family for almost 3 years now. This is a special place, and I don't think any family could go wrong by enrolling their child(ren) in a class!

The Little Gym has been excellent for our family! Both my kids love their classes, and my daughter is having a second birthday party here. The women who run the day to day of the studio are fantastic. Ms. Maria, Ms. Jana and Ms. Mia are my kids’ teachers who we love, but we’ve honestly not had a bad experience. Ms Jana in particular has been amazing for my son, who has needed some extra encouragement to try new things.

Posting this a few months late but incredibly disappointed with the shift in ownership and camp experience. In the past, campers had ample time in the gym, classes were not taking place during camp time, and costs were pretty pricey for what it was. Since being corporate owned, my daughter only spent sometimes 30 minutes in a 4 hour period in the gym because they were holding classes at the same time as camp. The remaining time was spent in a small room where they did various activities, but given that it is a gymnastics camp, I wouldn’t have paid for camp knowing such a limited time in the gym.

We had gone to this gym for a year with our son when he was very little and then for 3 years with our daughter since she was a baby. The teachers are very good and the facility is excellent and exceptionally clean. We have some lovely memories from this gym and my daughter learned a lot and really loved her time there. Sadly, we have recently had to cut ties with the Little Gym. Had I written this review a year ago, I would have given them 5 stars. Now, I can barely scrape by with 3 (and those stars are for some of the teachers and the facility ). A little less than a year ago, the North Carolina Little Gym franchises were bought by a private equity firm. It shows. Previously, the delightful owner, Connie Tator, was a regular fixture at the Little Gym of Cary. If there was an issue, a parent could speak to her directly and get it solved. Not anymore. It’s all corporate coldness and no warmth. My 3 year old didn't feel comfortable in the gym without me present. I don't think it's unreasonable for me to be allowed to sit quietly in the gym to provide a supportive presence. Previously, this hadn't been an issue. Suddenly, the options are either my child sucks it up and toughs it out or she has to sit outside the gym and just watch class through the window from my lap. She wants to participate, and I don't pay $110 a month to have her watch a class. I don't think I'm being unreasonable, but my child's need for my presence "doesn't align with the goals of the class". Uh-huh. The Little Gym is still good, as I said: the facility is nice and the teachers are good. However, if you are looking for a gym that respects your goals and values as a parent, supports children who might require a bit more time and emotional support, and is willing to be a little flexible instead of rigidly clinging to their policies and procedures as though they are more important than the Little Humans they are there to serve, this is not the gym for you. For that, go to one of the many locally owned gyms in the area where you can have a reasonable conversation with the owner instead of a pedantic one with a corporate minion.

This place is aweful, I cancelled my membership back to Feburary, signed several documebts on site, but wasn't provided any paper documentation and was told it's electronically. Last week, I noticed that my card was charged again for the memebership and then disputed the credit card. Today I received an email and was told my memebership was never cancelled. I mean we gave the 30 days notice(actually not 30 days, almost 50 days) but still being charged. I checked other review comments as well, seems like this places is used to do that, I'm not the only person experienced this problem.

My son has been taking classes at The Little Gym for almost 4 years. We love the outstanding staff and clean, organized, and child-friendly facility. The teachers, especially at this location, are patient with even the youngest kiddos, and we appreciate the thoughtfulness and hard work evident in the the lessons each week. Each of my son's teachers have been wonderful role models for him and have helped build his confidence and social skills as well as physical awareness and strength. The staff at this location work very well together, and their cohesiveness provides a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment for all children. They also have genuine interest in my son and our family. We've had 2 birthday parties here, and they've been fantastic. I have been taking my daughter to Little Gym for almost a year now and she loves it! I have also met lots of great new moms too! The classes have helped build her confidence in reaching milestones from 6 months to now 16 months. The staff is very friendly and treat the kids with lots of care & patience! Both of my toddlers attend classes at TLG in Cary and we’ve had a wonderful experience. The teachers are fun, patient and really do a great job of making the little kids feel comfortable. The makeup policy is very helpful and liberal though it was shortened from unlimited amount of time to makeup to within 6m of an excuse - but still plenty of time. I recommend this for young kids starting out in gymnastics tumbling and dance!

My son was about 4 1/2 years old when he started attending. He’s gain so much strength in his arms and legs. I definitely recommend the little gym. I wish I had signed him up earlier. You're not being honest. 1) I DID wear a mask. The requirement to wear a medical mask was only applied to one customer (me). All other parents were wearing cloths which aren't medical masks. You're not being honest saying we were welcome to stay as well. We were welcome to stay under the ultimatum you offered only. I did nothing illegal or against your policies. So Governor's orders have nothing to do with your actions. A few months later you don't care about masks anymore. So it's not about safety you talk about either. You had an unhappy customer who didn't like another customer's look. It was your call as the owner of the place. You chose to side with the bully because that was convenient for your business which I understand. It is what it is.

So my child was kicked out because another parent didn't like my face mask. Yes, I wore it, she literally disliked it. I was given an ultimatum either to wear a medical mask or to wait outside which I declined. The owner chose to ask us to stop coming. I respect her decision despite the unfair treatment my child got. I still recommend LG to friends since the sessons were fun. So today my friend who I referred to Little Gym told me - SURPRISE - not all the staff members were wearing masks. My one star review reflects bullying my family and Little Gym policies taking part in hypocricy that is destroying all our lives these days.

I have since then edited this review below…Wanted to try this class for my Autistic son and explained to the owner about his special needs. I asked if we could kind of have a small tour inside to see if my son would even be interested. He has trouble with expressing himself so it is kind of hard to tell if he likes something with out him being able to explore before hand. The manager insisted that I pay around $60 for an introductory 4 classes before hand and refused to let us look inside before hand. She said it was a nation wide policy. I called the location in Durham to verify and they were totally understanding, inclusive and accommodating and offered a $15 introductory class while the manager at the Cary location had no problem sending my business out the door. I was completely mortified after that experience! I had full intentions to sign up for the Mommy and me class with my 6 month old and possibly the sports class for my 4yr old that day but needless to say I didn't : (

Updated review 7/2021: Here we are 4 years later and I have to say my experience has been like night and day. We thought we would entertain the idea as a friend of mind insisted things were way better since new ownership. The staff are all professional, personable, energetic, and friendly. So I just want to take a minute to talk about my experience with the Little Gym. I don't know how many of you moms are in the Triangle area, but the Little Gym in Cary is amazing.

I had absolutely zero experience with newborns. In fact, the first baby I ever held was my own. I was, and sometimes still am, constantly worried about his development. Am I giving him enough tummy time? Is he stimulated enough? How do I even keep him entertained all day? It was getting bad enough that it was contributing to my PPD quite a bit.

I started taking him to the Little Gym because of my friend and she really advocated for the classes so I decided I'd take him anyway. And woooooow. He's only been to a few classes, but already I can see improvement in his strength, his interest in the world around him, and his social skills. I also feel better on the days when we don't go to class, because I have some understanding on how to interact with him, exercises and tumbling he can practice, and I know I'm helping him build strength and hit those development milestones with ease! I highly recommend if you are able to get your kids into classes, they're completely worth it. If you live in the Raleigh/Cary area, ask for Amy at the Little Gym!

Amy, Brandon, Anthony, & Madison are the best pictures of gymnastics at you could hope for. They are very knowledgeable with children in a very patience and tolerant. They had a good time to assess and work with each child and has small classes. I can't think of a better place for my son to get some excercise & energy out as well as learn some key lessons regarding listening, following rules, only playing certain ways in specific situations i.e. "no flipping down the stairs, only at the gym!" These are added lessons that might not be focused on in preschool or Pre-K but will need to be instilled prior to kindergarten. The structured & planned lessons will not only help them but put them at a huge advantage as they are entering into kindergarten. All the while, the kids just think they're having a great time and don't even realize that they are learning!

Can't say enough good things about the little gym of cary. Great, knowledgeable and caring instructors. Highly responsive team to emails or calls. The flexibility for makeup classes is outstanding. We also love the curriculum with themes and that the instructors incorporate sign language as well. The classes are never the same or boring.

My daughter tends to be shy around older, "wild" kids and when she levelled up to a new age group, she was overwhelmed at first. The instructor Mr. Brandyn clearly noticed and made sure to include her in the activities without overwhelming her.
Our daughter also tends to be shy around men (especially with beards, don't ask me why...). She really likes Mr. Brandyn. We also took classes with Miss Amy before and we really like her as well.
My girl has gained a lot of confidence over the last months and loves to participate in many of the routines and exercises now. We sure will be customers for a long time. :)

My 11 month old son tried the introductory class for Birds last week and had a blast! Ms. Amy is awesome and brings great energy to her class both for the kids and parents. She was very professional and thorough giving us details before the class and gave great instruction during class. My husband and I learned how to properly spot our son while tumbling and we helped him practice different body positions from the rings and bars. He absolutely loved it! Everyone was very friendly and made our little one feel welcome to the class too. Looking forward to sharing new skills with our son and getting to know the other families!

The Little Gym of Cary is great. My boys love the classes and have learned so much over the last two years. I was worried about the changes in staff and ownership changing the mood of the place, but my fears were eased almost immediately. The new staff (and the old) are happy, energetic, encouraging and dedicated to help each and every child. Thank you Mr. Brandyn and the rest of the crew!

We had my daughter's birthday there today and it was fantastic! We dropped off our party supplies in the morning just to get them out of our way. We were so surprised that they had set everything up for us before we got there and it looked great! Super easy process and they took care of everything before, during, and after. We were able to focus on our daughter, family, and friends. Mr. Brandon and the whole staff are very friendly and great with the kids. I highly recommend their birthday party package!

I recently visited The Little Gym of Cary. My son had an amazing time ! The teachers were so patient with him. He loved it. We visited a year ago and we have noticed such a big improvement in the facility from before.

This place use to be great! The ownership changed this summer (2019) and now it is awful. Dirty. Overcrowded classes. It is a shame because it used to be wonderful. Look elsewhere.

I took my daughter for an intro class to see what the bugs class was all about. It was fun but it was so dirty.. from the floor in the waiting area to the mats in the gym. My 6.5 month old came home with black under her nails. I felt so bad taking her here. All of the mats need a really good wash and Clorox wipe down. I am surprised the mats aren't cleaned more often... I will probably not be back here.

I did little gym with my daughter when she just a young toddler and it was a great way to have fun with physical development and make friends that we still hang out with years later. I was bummed when we moved and it was no longer feasible to continue going.

They called to transfer my daughter from north Raleigh to cary location and would handle everything when it turns out nothing was done when I started the classes and North Raleigh location would’ve give me the credit to cary location that they said would be taken care of and management didn’t take any responsibility for their actions. Didn’t even mind that I would take my business else where. Unfortunately I will take my business away from the little gym period Bc of cary locations unprofessionalism in staff.

My little one loves the little gym!!! She's been going for almost a year, the classes are great and Ms. Genevieve is AWESOME!!! The classes are structured but the little ones are still encouraged to explore and experiment on their own, which I love. We plan to attend for years to come.

Really cool one.
A place where the kids will really enjoy their time of gymnastics.
At the end of every class they explain the happenings of the day which gives more idea about what they are doing and what they are really trying to do.
Definitely worth the money, is my feel!

My 4 year old grandson has been going to classes here for about 2 1/2 years and loves it. The staff are wonderful and so great at understanding child development. They guide the kids with a gentle, supportive and encouraging hand while simultaneously recognizing, and working with, the individual child’s personality quirks (e.g. difficulty sitting still or focusing).

I don’t understand the comments about the gym being dirty. I am there every week and it’s always clean. Additionally, I watch the staff go in at the end of every single class and spray down and wipe all the equipment. I’ve also seen the staff showing the gym facilities to prospective clients. It’s a small place and there are windows all across the waiting area so it’s super easy to observe a class!

Just signed up for our second season. My son loves this place so much. I was looking for something for him to do after school that would teach him teamwork and how to be part of a group, and follow directions. He was having a bit 'only child syndrome' while at school. After just the four intro classes there was a whole change in his attitude. Not only is he doing well in this class, but he is behaving better in school. I love this place!

We recently had our daughter's birthday party at Little Gym (my daughter's favorite place). The kids enjoyed their time at the gym, playing and having fun.

We were very impressed with the two staff who were very involved with the kids and the party.

My daughter (3.5) is having dance lessons (combined with gymnastics) and my son (5.5) gymnastics. They both love it. They have stable stuff who knows so as parent I have confidence that there is not some newcomer who does not know how to handle kids. Love the place.
