I absolutely love TSL. I came in as a complete beginner and feel myself getting stronger every single day. What makes it even better is the community. It’s such a special feeling to push through a tough workout together and see the same friendly faces week after week. The owner and instructors are amazing, and I’m so thankful I found this place.

I love group exercise, but I haven't had this much fun in a while! Did I get all the cycle choreography? Nope! But that's OK. Everyone was encouraging and went at their own pace. The instructor was phenomenal and brought great energy! I highly recommend everyone take a class!

I have been going to the sweat lab for the past school year and I can without a doubt say it is the best fitness studio I have ever been to. The spin choreo was challenging at first but after two classes I was able to pick it up very quickly. I also love the variety of classes they offer. Chris is always so welcoming and every instructor is amazing.

Started my membership in January and it was the best decision. I did not have any cycling experience prior to starting but after a few months my confidence grew. Everyone is friendly and the instructors are amazing! Love the variety in classes offered and the different themed rides. Would definitely recommend trying it out.

I've been coming here sporadically for years, but have been coming a couple times a week for the past couple of years. The owner Chris is always thinking up new and fun ways to create a community beyond just working out together - theme rides, snacks, publicly celebrating milestones, and more. All of the instructors are amazing, but they each have their own style so you can pick what motivates you the most. They keep a good mix of the types of classes they offer too, with spin, yoga, light weights, and Barre.

The Sweat Lab on Durham-Chapel Hill Blvd.
is hands down the best fitness studio I’ve been to! The instructors here are the heart and soul of the place. They bring unmatched energy, positivity, and expertise to every class. Their enthusiasm is contagious, and they know just how to push you while making the experience fun and uplifting.

Beyond the workouts, the overall vibe is fantastic—supportive, inclusive, and inspiring. The staff and instructors genuinely care about your progress and well-being. If you want a gym experience that’s as motivating as it is transformative, Sweat Lab is the place to be!

The most amazing classes, teachers, and community. As a former D1 athlete I was burnt out and nervous joining a gym. The teachers are immediately welcoming and have awesome energy that make classes and working out fun again. There are tons of different classes (spin, sculpt, yoga, barre, and combos), music themed classes, and lots of times to pick from! It’s also an inclusive atmosphere where everyone is welcome.

I love Chris and Amanda’s 30 min spin 30 min sculpt class. I wasn’t expecting to meet some wonderful new friends who are so supportive in and out of the gym. I’ve been going for about 8 months and am so grateful for this amazing Durham institution!

I truly enjoy going to work out at The Sweat Lab! Cycling and Barre are my jam, and I can’t believe I hadn’t joined sooner. I also have tried sculpt and yoga and appreciate the balance this place has! I love the music variety, and the positive energy every instructor gives whether it’s my first time in their class or not! Overall, this place is fun, encouraging, energetic and kind!

A fantastic place to sweat, even if you (like me) don't ride! I've been taking only barre and sculpt (feels like barre, with a bit more weights) on and off since 2015, and keep coming back for the unique studio space and talented instructors. Chris may look nice, but he's an absolute beast in every class. (Actually he's very nice, and will make you proud of yourself every time). Amanda never repeats a move and never misses a count (it's a real talent). Casey has a killer playlist that you really want to move to, and Jaimee manages to make early morning torture fun. Alicia is the real deal, very knowledgable about form and modifications. (And I miss Carolyn and Elise, will always come out whenever they return to the studio!) While I don't take cycle, everyone seems to be having a great time when they come out! It says a lot that nearly every time you come in you'll see someone is celebrating their 500th or 1000th class, there's always a warm welcome and a place just for you at the barre (or bike).

I've been taking classes at The Sweat Lab for 6 years and I can't say enough amazing things about this place! I love the variety of spin, sculpt, barre, yoga & combo classes. The instructors are friendly and motivating, the music is great, and the content of the classes is always changing to keep you on your toes! It's a welcoming community and I've made some lifelong friends here. If you care about shopping local and supporting small businesses, why not work out locally too?! Thank you, TSL!

My favorite spot to spin in NC. They have theme rides, happy hours, and more! Completely renovated and gorgeous, darling.
*Chris is a double threat: talented DJ with killer playlists AND the most motivating cycle instructor!
*Elise offers intensive, fantastic Barre classes, offering lots of feedback on ways to improve
*Amanda is the kindest manager around.
*Barbie stays hype on the bike.
This is THE go to fitness studio in the Triangle!!

Wow. I just finished my second glass and what a VIBE! I had never taken a spin class before but that didn't matter. You pick it up quickly and Barbie was awesome with promoting doing your own versions of the move. Her themed classes are all I have taken and she has seriously made me obsessed. When they say "sweat lab" be prepared. They mean it. Best workouts of my life. 12/10 would reccomend. Super nice people, instructors, and location. Being outside is nice too and everything is sanitized. Loved it.

There are so many great small businesses in Durham, but the Sweat Lab is the one I root for the hardest. It’s amazing the way the team here has adapted during the Covid-19 pandemic, first bringing classes outside, then adding heaters during the chilly winter months, and most recently installing a misting system on the deck to help with the NC summer heat.

I am in such a dramatically better place mentally and physically since I started taking classes here in September, I truly don’t know how I would have gotten through the last several months of the pandemic without this place - I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!

The Sweat Lab is the best local barre and spin studio! They have been amazing in the transition to outdoor and online classes during the last year, keeping the community feel of the studio in tact, even without the indoor space. The instructors are so enthusiastic and supportive, providing an awesome workout for all levels. I couldn't recommend TSL more!

WOW! One of the most motivating spin classes I've taken. Barbie was the instructor and she brought her "A" game!! Great instructions to work your entire body. Music kept you going throughout the class along with Barbie's constant motivation. Even though it was a rainy, cold evening (we were outside under a tarp) everyone was in a full sweat after the 2nd song. The Sweat Lab has numerous other classes other than spin and I am sure the instructors are all as good as Barbie. Also, very impressed with the strict PPE protocols that were in place - everyone wore masks until class started and all bikes were sanitized. HIGHLY RECOMMEND if you are looking for a local studio to work out at and support!

Hands down the best studio in the area. The instructors are highly skilled and professional. I recently moved down from NYC and was sad to leave my favorite studio. After visiting cpl of different Gyms and studios in the area , Ride Cycle was the best out of all. I feel motivated, challenged and energized every time I take a class. I’ve never had an average workout and I take lots of classes with different instructors. Check it out, you won’t be disappointed!

Great place- I spin here almost every day and love the classes. Staff is super friendly- Chris took the time to help me find the perfect setting on my bike after I was having some hip pain. Bike to barre is great when you want to get cardio and strength training in all at once. Maggie’s HIIT Tabata class is my favorite class! Meghan is an amazing instructor as well- love her music and she really works you!

My first experience at RIDE CYCLE STUIDO was fantastic! From the moment I walked in, the staff was so helpful and welcoming. They helped me adjust my bike, and not once did I feel intimidated. The instructor, Maggie, was SO enthusiastic and motivated me to push my limits throughout the entire class. I left feeling both exhausted and energized. I will definitely be back. Also - that cold towel at the end of class was AMAZING. 😍

Such a great studio with great instructors. The variety of classes ensure that you don't get stuck with the same workout (even though each one is very good!). Cardio Barre with Kelly this past Thursday was an insanely good and challenging workout. I use ClassPass, so have been to the different barre studios in the area and this class was a refreshing mix! You can't go wrong with any of the classes- spin, yoga, barre- all of the instructors are fun, encouraging, attentive and will always have you leaving class feeling stronger and accomplished.
