Whomever it was to come up with the billboard idea, I’d like to shake your hand. To eat or not eat everything you see is a choice. The hurt feelings of the big bodies are strong in these reviews. You all need to take your anger out on that gallon of ice cream before you raise your blood pressure and all that cholesterol you’re carrying around gets stuck in your sad angry heart. Freedom’s we all share isn’t increased by the BMI scale. Plus, there are plenty of gyms for those of you who love to choose LBS as your personal aesthetic, it’s walking from the car to Dunkin Donuts from the handicap space. I’ll gladly give my money just to see that encouraging billboard as long as I can, sign me up.

I recently had the chance to visit The Warehouse while in North Carolina, and I have to say—it’s one of the best gym experiences I’ve had in a while! The atmosphere is top-notch, with a raw and motivating vibe that makes you want to push yourself harder.

The facility itself is well-maintained, with a great selection of equipment for strength training, functional fitness, and cardio. Whether you’re into powerlifting, CrossFit, or just a solid workout, they have everything you need. The space is clean, well-organized, and doesn’t feel overcrowded, which is a huge plus.

The staff was friendly and welcoming, making the experience even better. You can tell they care about the gym and its members. It’s the kind of place that feels like a true fitness community rather than just another gym.

If you’re in the area and looking for a serious place to train, I highly recommend checking out The Warehouse. Definitely a five-star experience!

Fat shaming people on your billboard was an inexcusable mistake. There are gyms everywhere in the area that are much more accepting of people of all shapes and sizes. I encourage all people seeking a gym to find one that is going to treat you with respect and encourage you along the way. Visiting The Warehouse NC in Hickory, NC, was a fantastic experience for my boyfriend and I. The 73,000 square foot facility offers top-notch fitness equipment, a barber shop, and car detailing services. The billboard on 321 is fat discrimination. It shames people to believe that it's a "choice" to be fat. When your body size is almost as genetic as your height. We know that shame and fear talk never ever actually motivates someone and this just supports the stigma and fear people in larger bodies feel about going to a gym. Gyms need to do better and understand you can be healthy at ANY size not just one that wellness and diet culture seems healthy.

Fat shaming is part of their marketing. Claiming being fat is a choice, which is scientifically inaccurate, on a giant Billboard. I go to the gym 4 days a week and work closely with doctors to help control my weight, but my medical conditions mean I will always be a little heavy. I'm healthy and that's what matters. My friends daughter, who also has medical conditions that cause massive weight fluctuations, burst into tears when she saw your Billboard. Shame on you guys.

I love everything about this new gym in Hickory. I workout very consistently and to have a gym that I enjoy going to so much in my community is a blessing. You’re not going to find anything that compares to this gym anywhere close to Hickory. This is my top choice when it comes to hitting a great workout, and is definitely my go to when someone asks for a recommendation.
