It’s truly been a blessing to have found the team at True180. I’ve only been a member for 2 months but it feels like I’ve found a home here. I used to work out at a gym for people over 40 in a different city that I absolutely loved and was very sad to leave when we moved to Charlotte. I LOVE THIS GYM! Gregory, Josef & Natillie are so supportive. They meet each individual where she is in her fitness journey, and make adjustments for injury, illness, etc. And there's good flexibility when you need to re-schedule. Additionally, there's a Zoom option ... have an appointment you need to get to that's a tad too "close" to your appointment time? Simply Zoom in from home so you can eliminate your travel time to/from the gym. Going on vacation? You can still Zoom in during your appointment (or adjust the time) and get your workouts in. Gregory, Josef & Natillie are with you every step of the way. I'd be remiss if I didn't mention the wonderful ladies who workout ... great attitudes, motivation and now, friends!

I have had several personal trainers over the years. I must say that Gregory is by far the best, attention to detail, keeps updated and informed on health issues that affect training. He customizes each workout to your level, every visit is different and he targets all areas of the body every time. The entire experience was wonderful! The class started with a warmup of several moves that were demonstrated by the staff. Then the workout began and I was definitely pushed to do more weight than I normally use. It made me realize how I need to keep focusing on upping my weights! The workout finished with a few miles on the stationary bike. I was exhausted for sure but it was a great workout and I highly recommend True180!

I have absolutely loved coming to this place!
It’s the first training that I’ve ever stuck to and lost weight!
I had many questions in the beginning.
Joseph was kind enough to make an actual video for me so that I could learn the warm-up routine even though they have a video going on a loop in the gym.
Natalie met with me on two separate occasions to go over the many questions I had about starting my journey to lose weight.
Gregory has been steadfast in keeping my
training simple yet challenging.
Everyone went out of their way to make sure I was never embarrassed to repeat instruction.
Gregory consistently sent me a personal text to let me know how well I did after each session.
The atmosphere has been very comfortable and fun! I would highly recommend it to anybody who is ready to start feeling better and looking great.

True180 is a fantastic community with excellent coaches and equipment! It is more than just a gym, as they offer challenges to help you stay accountable with your habits outside the gym (like getting your steps in, eating enough protein, etc).
I have worked out at True 180 consistently for almost two years. I enjoy the workouts and put in more effort than I would on my own. The trainers are extremely knowledgeable and make sure you use proper form and stay safe. I started at T180 with a bad knee due to an injury at another gym. They made sure that my warm-ups and workouts strengthened my knee and helped it to heal. I am very grateful that I am stronger and almost never experience knee pain or mobility issues anymore. I highly recommend this gym if you’re a woman who wants to get fit and improve your health!

I love working out at True 180! The coaches have an amazing range of exercises so it’s always new and challenging. Coach Gregory’s suggestions often fix my minor aches with one exercise. The coaches kept me in the game after a cycling accident. And they are flexible with my changing schedule. Weight loss coaching is easy to understand and follow. 10 stars out of 5. (In my 70’s)

The best of both worlds! Personal training and small group camaraderie in one power-packed session. Owners and trainers are enthusiastic, funny and motivational. Although we train in a small group, Gregory designs modifications for each individual. Shoulder issue, knee injury - he knows how to keep you moving while protecting problem areas. We just follow directions, listen to great music and have a few laughs. I leave feeling strong, energized and positive. They offer virtual sessions anytime. I've worked with personal trainers for decades, joined aerobics, pilates, and it was always a necessary evil. I am 6 months in with True 180, and I genuinely enjoy my training sessions.

I really love working out at True180 and would definitely recommend it. The coaches and other members are motivating and supportive. The workouts are always just the right amount of challenging - not at all easy but not so difficult that you’re tempted to give up. Having a scheduled time helps keep me accountable, but re- scheduling is very flexible and easy if I need to move things around so just about anyone can make it work with their schedule and stay consistent. The cost is very reasonable too. The price I currently pay for two sessions a week is the same price I was quoted by a one-on-one trainer for one session a week, so you get double the sessions for the same price as traditional one-on-one training.

I can’t say enough good things about True 180!!! The owners/coaches are friendly and truly care about their members’ fitness journey. They are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive. The studio is equipped with everything needed for great fitness opportunities, and it is always clean, and well-maintained.

My fitness journey began in March, I found True180 in my search for personal training after having the ok from my doctor. My overall goal was just to get stronger post surgery. There were certain limitations to my workouts and made sure to modify moves for me. Natalie, Greg or Josef are amazing with their communication and encouragement. Sometimes I would get a note in the mail! With the community environment, everyone around you is working towards getting stronger and healthier. I've only been a member of True180 for a short time. The class size is always small so that gives you a lot of personal attention. I have an injury I'm working through and the team at True180 made sure I was following doctor's orders and they modified the workouts to what I could do. I think this is the perfect place for women who are trying to maintain a healthy balance of cardio and weight training as they age. The trainers will only give you what you can do, rather than push you to do something you can't - an exercise or the amount of weight is tailored to you and your personal ability. They will push you as hard as you can handle but never too far. The women who come to True 180 are a welcoming supportive bunch so it makes it easier and more comfortable for a newcomer of any skill level.

It’s hard for me to put into words what True 180 has done for me. When I joined 3 years ago I started a new journey. Josef & Gregory have both helped me from day one. They Modify my workouts as needed, they motivate me, encourage me as well as discipline me when needed.
They work one on one with each of us. They truly want the best for your health & well being.

I have been working out at True 180 for over 3 years. When I first started, my energy levels were fairly low, I was out of shape, and heavier than I wanted to be. What I found at True 180, was a team dedicated to understanding my health goals and focused on helping me achieve those goals. I also found a group of women that quickly became friends and they are so incredibly supportive. Today, I have more energy than have had in my adult life, I’ve reached my weight goals, and I’m stronger than I thought I could ever be. I was looking for a place to workout that focuses on women and had workouts tailored to my needs and limitations (no squats or burpees!!). Josef and Gregory are great at creating individual workouts that challenge me but don't cause me injury. I like the atmosphere of the small session workouts. The workouts are designed for each lady, catering to the individual needs/wants/ challenges of each individual. As these awesome and fun trainers observe you, they may suggest a different weight, monitor the correct, safe way to carry out the exercise and/or adjust the workout to be most beneficial for you.

In the past, I could not find a workout that I enjoyed or stayed consistent with. I joined True 180 just for the summer before heading back to college. It was truly the best thing I did. They were incredibly motivating and catered to my exact strength and abilities so that I could be pushed but not feel discouraged. The other women in there are incredible and unlike other gyms, you will NEVER feel judged. I am now motivated to find a place in my college town similar to True 180 to keep up with my fitness until I can return. Gregory and Josef are so incredible and the best trainers you could ask for. I have been working out at True 180 for about 10 years I think. The time has flown! Josef, Gregory and Natillie work very hard to not only provide excellent training but also really build a sense of community. Josef and Gregory are trainers who meet you where you are but push you just enough to get results. There are never more than 6 women there at a time so it really feels like personal training but in a small group setting. Everyone there is supportive -- no big gym judgement of what your are wearing, how you look, what weight you lift, etc. It's a great place to build the strength we all need as we age.

I discovered True180 in July 2017, and it has truly been the best experience! The coaches, Josef and Gregory, are amazing. I started with True 180 a couple of months ago. I wasn't new to exercise but I had become less active over the last 2-3 years due to injuries and surgeries resulting from repetitive long distant running and also family commitments. I've always enjoyed weight training but sadly I let that go too. Physical Therapy was a must to get mobility back but I was ready to incorporate full body workouts while being mindful of my injuries. The team at True 180 has helped with this! They've got the knowledge. They listen, take a full inventory and put together exercises that are best for you personally and will then modify from there if need be! It's been amazing to get back to doing what I enjoy so much! I just moved to North Carolina about 4 months ago and was looking for a fitness community. I am a work-from-home mom with a 10 year old son, wanted something close to the house while providing me fitness 101. When I saw the sign for this place, I thought "this is too good to be true. A place just for women?" I quickly learned this is exactly everything I wanted and needed. Prior to having my son, I was in good shape. With work, life and a pandemic, I let everything go. This place, this community, the people, the trainers....I could not have hoped for anything better. I work out there twice a week, Gregory is AMAZING!!! Blasting awesome music with a small group of women, learning what this workout does for which muscle, while adjusting workouts based on the person, it is really all that I have wanted and more. Gregory is THE man!
This is the only place that is truly a no-judgment zone. I have never felt more welcome, and my muscles are starting to thank me for trying. Natillie is extremely communicative and responds right away to your questions and comments. Josef is wonderful and love how he dresses up for Halloween, makes the workout days funny.
I am so thankful I found this place, less than a mile from my house, that is exactly what my heart and body needed.

This gym has been a godsend to my mind and body. I haven't enjoyed working out this much in a long time. Josef and Greg are friendly and knowledgeable trainers that help each woman become a stronger, better version of themselves, without being pushy. They're very good about working around injuries and working towards preventing injuries. This is a great option for someone that's serious about getting and staying healthy in a non-intimidating setting. The workouts are not as crazy as a Cross Fit or Boot camp workout, but they are full body work outs that vary each day while building strength from the ground up.

Updated January, 2023: I joined True 180 nearly 6 months ago with the goal to lose 30-35 pounds by March. I lost 31 pounds in 5 months, and gained muscle mass and strength. I plan to lose another 10 pounds in the coming months. The owners and coaches at True 180 have not only been supportive in the gym with encouragement and personalized workouts, but also outside of the gym with meal plans, tips for getting through the holidays, and tons of guidance in meeting my goals and cheering for me along the way. Original post, September, 2022: I have been a member for 8 weeks and am very happy with True 180 Personal Training for Women. I have had health issues recently and have been unable to do much more than walk for the past 3 years, causing weakness and weight gain. I set up an appointment to see if this would be a good fit for me, and now I have no idea who would not be a good fit. The coaches are very accommodating, and every woman's workout is tailored to their fitness level and medical limitations. I was given guidelines for eating as well as activity level. In 8 weeks, I've lost 12 of the 30-35 pounds I need to lose. I've gained strength, mobility, balance, and lean muscle mass, and lost pounds and fat. I have been with True180 over 5 years since they opened in Charlotte. By far the best workout company/ team I’ve ever been with (and that is over 4 decades). The owners and trainers are so knowledgeable about everything “workout”. I have not missed a workout in over 2 years due to True 180 having a lot of time slots all day long and the flexibility they build into the schedule. I’m so much stronger and flexible because of these workouts.
Their are no gimmicks with these workouts. Their knowledge base on strength training and cardio is excellent. You get individualized workouts specific to your workout level and a full hour workout in every session. The trainers show you the correct form and posture for every exercise you do.
If you are looking to lose some weight they are upfront about the need to consume less calories than you expend - 80% is what you eat and 20% working out. It basically comes down to consistency with your workouts and eating a diet (healthy if you can) that has less calories in it than you are expending each day.
This best part is the people - the owners and trainers and the clients. I have so many friends at True 180 after having been there for over 5 years. Several are some of my dearest friends today. And we get so much encouragement and feedback from each other and the trainers. They share articles and answer our workout and diet questions among all members almost every week. And I never feel guilty when I mess up on eating, which I do a little too much. They don’t harp on it, they just help me get back on track. It is huge for me to have them in my court.
You should try it - you will love it. It is just a really fun atmosphere with lots of laughter and good will. Over time you will find you can’t do without it. I am still working out with people I joined with 5 years ago. It is amazing how many people stick with this program. It’s a testament to True 180. 😃🌻

I was at a point where I decided I wanted to get in better shape and after researching several local gyms, I decided to give True180 a shot. I am so very glad I did! They offer a body composition and analysis that helps you understand "where you are today" so you can start improving. There is no pressure and the focus is truly on just improving little by little, step by step, one day at a time.
I was immediately impressed by their dedication to a clean and Covid-safe environment. We wear masks, take your temperature when entering, have shoe cleaning mats, wash hands, wipe down equipment, have your own personal and outlined space to workout in, etc - it really is very comforting for those of us who are very Covid-aware!
The trainers are personable and care about you. The small studio is perfect for individual attention, and while everyone is doing the "same" workout, each exercise is tweaked to your own personal abilities on that day, based on where you are in your journey.

September 2020 rolled around...and so did I! All those months of staying at home had made me "squishy"! I hadn't gained weight but I had lost a lot of muscle. The loss was really noticeable going up stairs, carrying laundry, taking a quick walk around the block, and the way my clothes were NOT fitting!
Facebook kept posting True 180 on my page. Finally, I decided to give them a call and I am so happy I did.
The studio is very well organized with procedures in place to address COVID concerns and keep everyone healthy. Zoom is also available if you aren't comfortable with being in the studio. Whichever way you choose to attend, it is SO worth it!!
4 months in and I've lost weight, inches and 4.1% body fat!! That is muscle being built!
What can you expect? Great trainers! First, a warm up that really makes you feel great! Then your trainer assigns you a personalized workout which changes every day! When they say they meet you where you are, they mean it! Every women's workout is adjusted to match their ability, injuries, and equipment(at home). They also keep increasing how challenging the workout is. Sneaky...and then, you are stronger and more fit than you ever thought possible!!

I have many times used Type I diabetes as an excuse not to exercise as fluctuating numbers were frustrating. Coupled with past and current shoulder issues and much job-related travel completing the picture that had me over 30-40 lbs overweight making it difficult to do things which were always easier when I was younger. Working with Josef and Greg at True 180 has shown me how to safely work out and adapt. While I do have setbacks on occasion I have lost 25 lbs and am stronger than I’ve ever been. I highly recommend that you at least attend one True 180 session, because, after just one session, it helps you reset your priorities regarding your health, nutrition, and overall fitness.
The sessions begin with a routine warm-up to prevent injuries, followed by 6 exercises giving attention to all areas of the body, followed by a 3-minute closing cardio exercise. What I appreciate is that the trainers are there to coach and assist, but it is a stress-free environment. You can comfortably work at your own pace and push yourself to your perceived limits. The trainers also use designated apps to help you focus on your nutrition and additional workouts that you can do at home. The friendly accountability has helped me stay on track.

I wasn’t sure whether or not to believe the no pressure enrollment or that the discounted Spark program would be an all in, hands on like I’m a member experience. But it was that and more! Truly a no pressure environment for any specials they run. And truly a full member experience from the beginning.
