The instructors are wonderful for the classes I take, but the gym is very dirty in the bathrooms, locker rooms and exercise rooms. This place needs to be thoroughly mopped and wiped down with disinfectant. Also broken an old equipment needs to be removed.

Just like most of the lowest star reviews. This gym is shady when it comes to contracts. Looking back on it I am pretty sure I was lied to about what type of membership I was signing up for. Once I had stopped attending this gym regularly and tried to cancel after separating from the military I was too close to cancel due to an 18 month 24 hr access contract that I was told initially I would be able to cancel in free of charge and easy process by the person that walked me through the process. I would advise to not sign a contract with this gym. Also the gym itself needs a big update and cleaning. I can look past the older equipment if the establishment itself wasn’t so mismanaged and shady.

He had an extreme situation happen while I was getting in Sauna Time and he handled it in the most professional manner anyone could ask for. Not only did he treat the perpetrator with respect but the incident was handled within minutes of Dewann finding out, saving everyone in the gym witnessing/experiencing the issue. Thanks Dewann!

I'd recommend this gym to anyone. I tried 2 other gyms. 2 years later and I have another membership at trufit. I've seen faces from when I got my 1st membership about 3 years ago and it's like a family there.

The other gyms either have drama or strange hours of operation. Best for last... The price is low and they never hit you with random fees.

Besides going on ft liberty, I doubt there is a better choice.

The staff at this location are so personable. Other gyms in the area aren't as welcoming as Trufit! The daycare girls are awesome and my son enjoys coming to kids club! The classes are a huge bonus. The instructors are kind and motivating! The equipment could use a bit of TLC but they have absolutely everything you need to get in a great workout. Finally the price is incredibly affordable. For a gym it is quite dismal. Holes in walls, equipment broke (that never gets fixed, and you pay a Maintance fee), and it is nearly impossible to cancel your membership with them (had to cancel my card and just let time run out). There are many better gyms down the road… Fit 4 Life that has the same membership fee and amenities. Don’t waste your time with a sub-optimal gym.

Everyone is super friendly and helpful! The classes are great. You get one free personal trainer session to be sure you really understand how to use the machines and know what goals you’re trying to meet. There is tanning if you’re into that. It is a standing one, I do prefer a tanning bed so I probably won’t use it much but not a big deal. Love the sauna!! I’m super happy I chose TruFit amongst the many other places around town.

TruFit has potential to be the best gym in town with the selection of equipment, friendly staff, and geographic location. Their downfall is the lack of money going back into building/equipment maintenance. I have worked out at both locations (Bragg Blvd & Hope Mills rd) off and on for over 7 years. Over that span of time not much has changed with improvements and upgrades. Both locations locker rooms are usually broken, smell horrible, never clean. Due to the lack of cleaning in both locker room and bathroom (their connected) the smell can be stomach turning. It’s so bad that the carpet has turned brownish in color from its original light green. The location on Bragg blvd had a homeless man with all his stuff sitting inside on equipment all hours of the day. Their equipment is no better, they have ballpark +7 treadmills on the floor but 2 are working. They put a sign saying “it’s broken” on the equipment and sits for a few weeks. It’s ironic because members are charged a monthly maintenance fee which leaves me scratching my head. It really begs the question does corporate or the owners really care? It’s not fair to the staff or customers. I would be surprised to see them still around in a few years if things don’t improve.

I’m a military service member and my contract was passed on to trufit after Omni Fitness Center was closed after my first overseas tour. Since, I have gone on 2 more tours and multiple TDYs and have not been able to cancel because the tours didn’t require “Orders” .

My contract should be up this month and after calling Paramount they said I can’t cancel and have to wait until they reply back to my email in 5-7 business days. The problem isn’t waiting is the awful customer service and the contract that ties you to them. Pick any other gym. If you do enter the contract Good luck getting out. Plenty of other gyms around that don’t squeeze your money out of our account or let you freely just cancel the membership.

Had to change my review because I was completely wrong. Keep in mind if you want to cancel your membership? Just go to the gym portal and email them that you are canceling your membership. Keep in mind that it will happen 30 days after that. So I did mine at the beginning of September. It cancels after the October payment but I can use it till November if that makes sense. So don't expect a quick cancellation. It is a 30-day notice so you're going to be paying one more payment after the month that you actually decide to cancel. I gave this review more stars because as many reviews as I read about this being such a hassle, it really wasn't.

The gym itself is okay but the service is terrible! I decided to stop going when they had a counter girl watching the kids and just let my baby cry the whole time I was gone. Then the gym membership auto renewed in January without any warning or reminder and with the extra hidden fees and requiring a months notice in written form, by the time I finally got everything canceled they had swindled $70+ more out of my bank account. Worst part is that the gym doesn’t handle the payments so I had to call a third party and wait on hold several times and each time I only got half the information I needed to cancel 🤯.

I’ve been thinking about joining a gym mainly for the group exercises. So I stopped by the location in Hope Mills. Overall, friendly staff. Though the facility is small, I like the open structure. They have no direction for beginners, unless you pay for a personal training, which wasn’t stated when the young lady that signed me up, I told her that I had never been to the gym and I would need help, she assured me that the staff would be there to assist me with this journey, the very first time I went they told me that they weren’t allowed to help and to follow the pictures on the equipment, then I was told by the lady that signed me up that she couldn’t help me because she wasn’t on the clock, keep in mind she was standing at the front desk talking with a young man and another lady, now she told me that she was a manager at the gym, and if this is true she shouldn’t be a manager because she has no clue about customer service. Went into location to cancel my membership which I had fulfilled and was now month to month, signed paper work and was told my account would be billed one more month since they had a 1 month notice to close. The gym is always busy. They are always patching up the sewer system (bathrooms are always out of order) I wouldn't drink the fountain water; the filter is probably as old as the sewer system. Some of there equipment is old too. And I left Planet Fitness for this; smh. However, they have fitness classes including spin cycling; although the "size four" showers may trump that greatness...😡😔

They dont have a plan for 15 days or a months is very expensive and ononline they said they have a plans for 5 days free but you just can go one day is a fake publicity. And a bad service.
