Amazing yoga studio in Winston! Feels like something out of NYC or LA! Great selection of classes - good for beginners or experienced yogis. Allie is a wonderful teacher, very knowledgeable. The sound baths are a fun way to relax and Allie does them with her husband. If you get a chance try a meditation class.

This place is great! My daughter and I travel a bit over an hour to get there because Allie, the owner, and her amazing husband are both genuinely personable and talented. I am hooked on the meditation nights and also the sound bath events. It's all quite spiritual and enlightening.

This is an odd tale but one that needs to be told. When I moved to Winston-Salem recently I look for a group meditation that met regularly. As it turns out, less than a mile from my house, a place called Vyb studio offered meditation group on Tuesday nights and a drop-in on Thursday.
All of their sign-ups were to be done over the internet, but I wanted to check out the place first. I met the owner, and the place look nice enough, so I handed her $40 on the spot to sign-up for their two-week “try everything deal” for newcomers. I attended the meditation session that night and it was decent.
That night I signed up online as per the company's instructions for the drop-in medication class coming up on Thursday and for what's called a “sound bath” coming up on Sunday. On Thursday, 29 minutes beforehand I was received notice that the class had been canceled. “Okay, thanks,” I said. These things happen.
Approaching this Sunday evening sound bath session, midday as I was about to depart from my house, I received an email from the owner, which I read quickly. It said that a memorial event of sorts was going to be held, and that the sound bath class for 7:30 that night was canceled. Perhaps I should have lingered more on what the memorial service was all about. Nevertheless there was reference to a 7:30 sound bath as opposed to the 5:30 one that for which I had signed up.
So I queried to see if the earlier one was still going to be held. The owner wrote me back and said that she meant to say the 5:30 class was canceled. I wrote back and light-heartedly said, “Okay well there goes my first week...”
About to now leave the house, within minutes the owner wrote me back and said will we will refund your money immediately, give us your zelle address, no need to come back. I was shocked. I hadn't said anything other than what was obvious. I had no idea until the owner’s “don’t come back” message that her dog had died.
I consider a dog to be a member of the family and I can understand her grief, but in the original email that I read, perhaps too quickly, I didn't see any such phrasing. Only after she said no need to come back, we’ll refund your money, did I learn that her dog had died.
I waited for a day, to sort things out in my own mind and then wrote back and said to this was a misunderstanding and which could be clear up in 45 seconds. Clearly each of us misunderstood each other. I waited a day and received no response. The next day in the early afternoon, still with no response, I sent her my zelle address. Later that day she sent me back my original payment.
It's a shame; I would have been a long-term client. I had been in a meditation class for more than five years in my previous town. I liked the meditation and was looking forward to more as well as to the sound bath. No one, however, myself included, wants to go any place where they're not wanted and told not to come back.
Why the owner didn't want to salvage a potential long-term client is a puzzler. My ‘offense’ was not so grave that she needed to immediately return the money, and say no need to come back. Even in her own mind, however, if she felt justified in taking such action, when I wrote the email explaining that it would take less than 45 seconds to clear up the misunderstanding, I was sincere.
We could have continued on, and all would have been well.
I write all this to let you know that sometimes, as a customer, no matter what you do, you're going to encounter a business that is going to misinterpret what you say or do, or view you in a negative light, when ostensibly, you had no intention of being uncaring, disrespectful, or unsympathetic. I simply was not aware that her dog had died until after I received her last response.
So, take all this in perspective, if you want to be a client a Vyb, I can't say one way or the other what you ought to do, but this is my story, it is accurate to the penny, and I wish you well in your endeavors.

Vyb is a magical portal to the inner sanctum of your body & mind. Every class I have taken has been an absolutely incredible experience, combining familiar poses with innovative prop use that deepens your practice in an unexpected but delightful way. Don’t even get me started on the incredibly moving & inspiring sound baths! An absolute must if your nervous system needs a restorative reset. No matter the offering, Vyb is a whole vibe. From the beautiful studio to the even more beautiful people that guide you, it does not disappoint. :)

I’ve been attending classes at Vyb since they opened the new studio off of Country Club. I have brought friends here, made friends here, and continue to thoroughly enjoy the yoga classes and sound baths. The owners are incredibly knowledgeable and intentional with their offerings. Not only do I feel like I better myself by being a regular here but I continue to gain knowledge about my yoga practice.

Vyb is a magical / mystical yoga studio, tucked unassumingly into a shopping plaza off Country Club rd in Winston .
All one has to do is enter through the doors to find a peaceful yet energetic place to be yourself , and enjoy a yoga practice , sound bath , or special event .
Unlike other yoga studios , vibe offers a unique experience with a darker room and warm vibrant colors .
The owner is very personable and down to earth .
Your life is not complete until you experience the Vybes !

My wife has been taking classes at Vyb for over a year now and has had nothing but great things to say. She finally convinced me to go to a sound bath and it did not disappoint! Louie played sounds that had my brain waves zoned in and Allie meditation had me completely relaxed. By the end I felt like a different person - my brain had reset itself! 100% recommend!

We were absolutely overwhelmed by our first experience at vyb. My wife is a workout beast … flexible, fit, and quite stunning … while I am more likely to break than I am to bend. Then we found out that the session was an hour and ½ … Ouch!!! - It’s hard for me to explain how great Daryl was during our class. Patient, passionate, caring, engaged and empathetic. She worked with each individual and their specific abilities … challenging you to give more and accepting of your limitations at same time. I entered the building feeling nervous and fearful – like an outsider that didn’t fit in … and I left feeling confident, proud, and part of a new found family. Trust me when I say that it does not matter where you are in your journey toward a better you- physically or spiritually. There is spot for you at vrb. PS – The room was completely stunning …it sincerely transforms you to a place of peace and serenity.

This is an incredible place. I recommend it to all who are completely new to yoga or absolutely profy. Allie, who is the owner of the place, is super helpful, cheerful, and supportive. This is a judgment free zone. You are more than welcome to follow with the flow or work on your own path. Either way, you will be supported and, if needed, gently corrected to help you grow for the next level in your unique journey.

Hands down the best hot yoga studio. Ali made hot yoga fun again for me. Vyb is truly the only place I’ve practiced where I felt like I was growing and getting stronger and more balanced every week. She gears the classes towards the skill levels in the room. Classes are challenging but not intimidating or stuffy, it’s ok if you fall out of a pose or need assistance figuring out how to get into a pose! The space is also incredibly welcoming, so park on the street and get in here! I’ve now moved and miss this place so much, but 10/10 would recommend to anyone in the area 😊

Allie Labate and her unique VYB transformed my yoga practice in the best ways: challenging me, making me stronger, and helping me take myself less seriously to unlearn what was no longer serving me in my practice on and off the mat. I was a member at the Durham, NC studio and recently went on a VYB-organized yoga retreat in Guatemala. Allie and her team went above & beyond to ensure every detail was taken care of, and I am immensely grateful to have experienced such a perspective-shifting retreat along with a warm & inviting community. I am also hooked on the sound vybrations meditation - check them out in Winston!

I Love Vyb Studio. Love the place. The walk-up is always worth the friendly smile that greets you at the reception. You feel welcome and appreciated each time you walk into the studio.
The vibe of the studio is A REAL VIBE. It’s funky and cool. It is like that feeling when your cool big brother let’s you hang out with his cool friends. You are part of the crew now. Crew = a community of wonderful people from different backgrounds, each with a unique and amazing story.
The classes are different each time. No boredom. No monotony. Each class challenges your body and mind. Each class is designed to improve your strength, focus and endurance. Of course modifications are offered and you can also just chill if you need to.
The studio decor is out of this world. Cool and relaxing neon lights in the yoga room. Hues of pink and blue on a black background. These go very well with the pumping music played during class and the cooling lavender infused cold towels given at the end of class.
There are mats and towels for rent in case you forget yours or just need one. There is also some amazing merch for sale as well.
I cannot recommend a visit or membership at Vyb studio enough.
UPDATE: the new classes with the new teachers have made the studio even better. Flow with Naomi is an adventure in how to move safely and get deeper into my asanas. Carly's personal touch during Vyb and her killer ab series is always a challenge and a treat.

This quickly became my favorite hot yoga studio in RDU. There truly is a vibe from the top down. The owner, Allie is very supportive, firm, and dares you to try more. Her intuitive flows include tricky transitions that are fun to move through and build upon. I have gotten stronger and more confident each week from the consistent postures.
The staff greets you at the door and you will leave with them saying your name + goodbye. Before class, they offer face towels and yoga mats. There are cubies to deposit your items. There are bathrooms but no showers. Thank goodness for the free water dispenser to fill my huge tumbler! They are also students in the class! So get there on time or the door is locked.
Vyb plays electronic dance music that I love flowing through and sometimes pulse to in class. It wakes me up in the morning, that's for sure! The owner's husband has done live DJ sessions while we do yoga. That's my favorite! Pricing is on par and even better than some studios. I find great value in the 6 month unlimited pass.
Thank you Allie and the team for all that you do!

I love vyb studio! This is a quality hot yoga studio conveniently located near downtown Durham with a twist - all the classes are done with fun, upbeat techno & electronic music (yes, even the early morning classes). It’s not your traditional slow-moving quiet meditative yoga, but is a fantastic workout and a lot of fun! The owner/main instructor, Allie, is a great teacher. High quality instruction. The owner/primary instructor has a great attitude (truly, a vibe). One thing I specifically appreciate about this studio is the room temp - it's hot yoga, but it's not the *hottest* yoga I've ever experienced. Before I started coming to vyb I had been to a few yoga classes, but I had never really practiced consistently. My first class was in February, and I hadn't been to any sort of yoga or fitness class in over a year due to COVID so I was definitely out of shape. The class was difficult and I took several breaks, but Allie's cues were helpful and she provided both beginner and more advanced options for several postures in the sequence. The vyb class is a great workout, and the music and heat make it 10x better. I was hooked after my first class, so I signed up for the unlimited membership and have been practicing at vyb ever since then. It definitely took me a few classes to fully familiarize myself with the poses, but the environment at the studio is incredibly supportive and I didn't ever feel judged for not knowing what I was doing. I've gotten so much stronger (both physically and mentally) in the past few months through a consistent practice at vyb. In the past few weeks, I've also been able to learn new inversions and arm balances that I never thought I'd be able to do. I'm so happy I found this studio, it has made such a difference in my life!

What a gift to have a safe, clean, and fun studio to practice! The Vyb class is a quick-paced, challenging -- but very adaptable -- hot power yoga class that encourages lots of growth the more you practice. I remember feeling very overwhelmed the first time I took this particular class almost a year ago. Now I'm seriously addicted and make sure I attend at least three times a week, with a couple of my other faves (Slow Burn, Bottle Rocket) thrown in. I started practicing here when it was CPY to help work through a hip injury and my range of motion and stamina is night and day. The owner, Allie, takes a lot of care in making sure we all have the best possible experience -- including feeling safe during COVID -- and is constantly asking for honest feedback and suggestions of what we'd like to see offered for class times, styles, and workshops.
