Highly recommend this place for birthday parties! Exceptional service from workers monitoring the party/helping the kids when needed. It’s private and calm. They clean up at the end. We will definitely be back for future parties- my sons LOVED!

We’ve had a great experience with the recreational gymnastic’s class for our 7 year old! We were at another NW Raleigh gym and found the class size and structure at Wake to be a better fit for advancing skills and keeping our daughter engaged.

When we started for the first two weeks only the male owner was there. He was very understanding and patient with my highly excited 3-year-old. The male owner is so nice, but that woman...IS HORRIBLE. She lied about what time my daughter started her class then ended her class early. My daughter is a spirited 3-year-old and it was obvious she was tired of managing her. She came over and talked to my husband and me like we were stupid and with the nastiest tone and never even introduced herself. That was the first time she had been there in 3 weeks. I will say the daughters who instruct the 3-year-olds were very patient and sweet. After that run in, we decided not to continue at Wake and have found a more kid friendly place to give our money to instead.

Just had my daughter’s 5th birthday party there, and it was great. They had multiple staff members ensuring the kids are using the trapeze and swings correctly; the place is huge that All the kids can run around. All the kids wanted to get back on the gym floor to play after the cake.....

I would highly recommend this place for birthday party!!

Could not be happier with this gym we have been here since our children were 1 and have seen our children grow and learn so much over the years. They love thier coaches and teammates and as parents we know they are always in great, caring hands.

This is hands down, the BEST gymnastics school out of the 6 I have seen so far in two states, and the BEST in Raleigh-Durham area, period.

The other schools we tried, they don't teach, they select. They select the talented ones, but don't teach the aspiring ones. Little kids gymnastics is just a little more than an expensive kindergarten at other gyms. They are afraid to push any limits.

Wake Gymnastics is a truly sports school, forge of the champions. And it's cheaper than the others too. I sent all three of my kids there and I'm thinking of make it three times a week.

I don't usually leave any comments, but I have to do this time to let other parents aware of this unbelievable place.

I wanted to talk with owner about the overcharged statement and unfair treatment my kid had from the assistant coach . I couldn't meet the owner when I went to the gym, since she was on the floor coaching the kids. Later I got a call from her while I was driving and I felt so upset about her attitude !!!!
She should have apologized for overcharging and not training the assistant coaches in a proper manner. Instead, her remarks really pissed me off.
" Maybe your daughter wasn't getting along well with a coach ( what?? she's a good follower -I watch the entire class -and how can she have a bad relationship with coaches right after starting her class? ok, even if it's true, is it O.K not to treat the kids fairly and pay attention ? )
and I never train the coaches to discriminate the race and you don't use that word for this case because I know they never did it to your daughter." (Well, how does she know how the staff behave toward kids when she doesn't watch. I never saw the owner at the gym whenever I go but she said she was there last week on the floor. She's a liar !!!!)
I don't want to write every single stuff what we talked on the phone. I just wanted a conversation with owner what happened to my daughter in a manner instead of being lectured by OWNER .
As Erin said , this place is not good for the kids and parents. There's no encouragement for the kids and it looks like the kids are just goofing around while assistant coaches keep chatting. It's a horrible place ever!!! I never had this kind of treatment before and the attitude of owner is not educated at all..
if you want to sign your kids up for this facility, you shouldn't bother the owner and better off be a good listener. Otherwise, you will be kicked out!

~My child attended WAKE Gym for 3 years. She was shuffled around from class to class given no encouragement from her team coaches despite her absolute love for the support. The positive point about this gym is its cleanliness and kind staff (aside from the owner). However recent actions from the owner have resulted in the rejection and hurt feelings of multiple 5 year old girls who are all now seeking a new gym to attend in the Raleigh area.

Recently with our first season of competition many of the parents had questions about the following year. Our girls' love for gymnastics was through the roof now that they had gone to a few meets and brought home their medals. We asked business managers, coaches and other parents to try and understand what was next for them. When we did we were always told the same thing - that the owner makes the decisions. Further none of the coaches or staff even understood the programs themselves. Last week a couple of the parents requested a meeting with the owner. We were all denied any face to face communication via email. When we asked again stating our specific desire to know where our children fit into WAKE's program we received identical emails telling us that our children were being dropped from WAKE Gymnastics "effective immediately". Two days later we each received March's tuition returned in the mail.

~This is a terrible place for any parent who wishes to be included in on the decisions being made about their child and the program(s) that they are in. We have recently learned that we were not the first set of parents with children who were kicked out by the owners. In each case the parent's made the mistake of attempting to ask questions to the owner about their child(ren). We were all told that our questions and interest were "unappreciated". And we were berated for approaching coaches and other parents with questions and told doing so was "out of line".

~We have all tried to shield our children from the hurt and rejection they have suffered from this. They miss their friends; they want to finish their meet season. They do not understand WHY they were receiving medals at their meet on Sunday and were told they can never return on Monday.
~ I cannot express my shock and upset over seeing my child be bullied as a means to punish me for my respectful desire to know more about my daughter and the program that she was in (and that i was paying for!). I speak for other parents going through the same thing at the moment. We will no doubt be better for this in the future and look forward to watching our children continue to pursue their love for gymnastics elsewhere. I write this with sadness as I always believed that my child was loved and cared for at WAKE. It will take awhile to truly wrap my mind around the fact that they could do this to my child as well as to the other children. At WAKE, mostly every parent is confused and frustrated. At best, questions are ignored, and at worse your child is thrown out.

Our son and daughter absolutely love this place. When our daughter was 3, we signed her up for a gymnastics class in the summer. She loved the classes, so we decided to do something more this year and signed her and her brother up for half-day summer camp. They are now in their second week of camp and look forward to going every day. The summer camp is more structured than other gymnastics camps that I have seen, and the kids do get individual instruction on all of the equipment. Every day when I pick them up, they can't wait to show me some of the "tricks" that they learned. We have not done the year-round gymnastics program yet due to scheduling conflicts, but now we may have to find a way to make it work since the kids love this place so much! The people who own and manage Wake Gymnastics are a husband/wife team who are wonderful with the kids. The prices are very reasonable, and I could not recommend this place enough!
