Nice layout. Busy, but not crowded. The staff are friendly and knowledgeable. They keep the place clean. Stair steppers(2) were occupied 100% of the time I was there. However, treadmills were less than half occupied. Maybe add steppers in place of treadmills. Day use passes are good for traveling people.

The young lady that helped my sister and I was so wonderful! She wasn't sure (comfortable) at first if she could sign us up. She got us signed up, went on a tour
( her 1st one at that) and we're off and running 🏃‍♀️ . Also a big shout out to the Mickey!! And Nelda has already called me to set up my 1st coach meeting 😐. Couldn't ask for a better place to get all that on your first trip!!!

I've been a member for almost a year now, and can report I've had an excellent experience at this well-managed gym. Mickie the manager creates a friendly environment, in this small, yet functional workout facility. He and his team are constantly cleaning, working hard to pick up after folks, tend to equip or offer a kind word. There are loads of treadmills, bikes, 2 stairmasters (always working!) and standard weight-training options (free weights and pulley system). Super affordable, compared to other local gyms, including an option to snag a steep discount if you pay a year in full. Great value on services promised, services delivered!

I just wanted to let the supervisors of this gym know that I have been registered at the establishments for two years. And for the last two years I have been leaving my things at the tennis pants site since I work in construction, but the managers have been cutting my lock and throwing my things in the trash. They really should change the workers at this establishment. I am truly surprised. In these two years I have lost around 850 dollars.

No problem with the gym itself, but interaction with business/management side was terrible - errors in billing and condescending, unhelpful manager to make it worse. I had to cancel my membership due to moving to a town where they don't have a location there. It took over three months of billing issues to resolve. The manager said he didn't know why the app and emails kept showing I owed a balance, and offered to give me proof that my balance with them was $0. Instead he just printed and handed me a copy of the membership agreement, which was no help. Worst of all, he was extremely condescending. Still not convinced billing has stopped. Beware.

Excellent gym. 24 hour access is a must have for shift workers. Much more reasonably priced than other options around and with bonuses such as tanning and Hydromassage. Great trainers like Dave to get you started and keep you going. Could not recommend more as a great place to work out.

I have been going to workout anytime since June of 2022. It is a wonderful gym to get a great workout. They have a wide selection of machines and weights for anyone with any level of workout skill. They offer great amenities as well tanning beds or hydromassage chair. Furthermore they offer personal trainers to help you reach your workout goals.
Nelda has been my personal trainer since I started my workout journey. She has guided me to obtain my goals and to maintain. She focuses on my goals and needs. I would recommend her as a trainer as well as the gym for your workout needs.

I am disabled and went to them wanting help to increase my strength and mobility. I was introduced to David Goins, a trainer there, who has taken the time to help me, and encourage me to work to get the outcome I desire. I continue on with having him as my trainer, and also count him as a friend. I would recommend him and this establishment for help with disability issues!

I just want to share my experience with a personal trainer at Workout Anytime in Marion…David Goins guided me through the use of each machine and took time explaining what muscle group was being targeted and what amount of weight and repetitions I should be doing. He was very patient and encouraging. He was extremely knowledgeable in what I needed to do to pursue my gym goals. I would highly recommend him as a trainer!

I have been a member of Workout Anytime of Marion, NC for just over a year. Around a month ago, I called to cancel my account, but I was told I would have to go to the gym to cancel. I was told the staff that could cancel my account and would be there until 4pm daily. Due to the staff that could cancel an account only being there until 4pm, I have been unable to go to the gym to cancel due to my schedule.
I was able to go to the gym today to cancel my account. I walked in and was greeted by a young man named Dylan. He asked how he could help. I told him I just needed to cancel my account. He asked that I sit down. He asked why I wanted to cancel my account. I told him I have had the account for just over a year and have not had time to work out and I have only been able to do so maybe 10 times in over a year. He told me I had a balance of $29.99. I said yes. He said you will need to pay this before we can cancel. I said I really don’t want to pay that since I have not been there to work out in months. He said, “I understand, let me get my manager.”
A manager named Ethan came over and asked what he could help with. I told him I just need to cancel my account. He said, “you have a $29.99 fee you haven’t paid.” I said yes and I don’t think I should have to pay it considering I have not been to work out in months and have not been but maybe 10 times in just over a year. He said, “just because you have not had time to come work out doesn’t mean Workout Anytime hasn’t been here.” And he chuckled. He then said, “it’s like a subscription, you have to pay it.” I asked, can’t you waiver this fee? He said, “No, but I can waiver the 30-day notification fee. I said, well if I have to pay the $29.99 fee in order to cancel, then I guess I have to pay. I paid and he didn’t even hand me my receipt. I had to get it out of the receipt printer myself. I asked for a printout of the cancellation and annoyingly, he said “I’ll have to get it off the printer in my office.” He brought it to me, and I thanked them both prior to leaving.
From this experience today, Workout Anytime in Marion does not stand by their values. A.C.E. stands for Attitude, Care, and Excellence.

He was disrespectful to me. And clearly the Manager Ethan was not committed to my success. He did not try to keep me as a member or even say he hoped I would return. The disrespect he showed me as a member is unacceptable and even if my schedule allows, I will not be joining Workout Anytime again, I will gladly join another gym.

I go here about 4 times a week. I started my workout journey at the local YMCA and decided to look elsewhere after too many unsupervised kids, grumpy staff, and creeps. Workout anytime was where I should have invested my time first! The new layout is great! Their trainers are approachable, knowledgeable and fit! The staff is attentive. The gym is constantly being cleaned, maintained & updated. The rates are too cheap in my opinion. If you want a bargain and a respectable place to respect yourself along your health journey, this is the place!

Workout Anytime, specifically the one in Marion owned by Mike King think it's ok to steal from their patrons. I became a member in 2019. Went for a while and than didn't use it for a year or so, I finally canceled. So I thought. Didn't ask for a refund cause that's my fault for not utilizing what I paid for. Well, than I come to realize that I was still being charged several months later. I called to cancel again and asked for a refund since was already supposed to be cancelled. Now recently I realized they've still been charging me! Been on the phone with Ethan the manager who claimed the previous managers weren't doing what they were supposed to do closing accounts bla bla bla… he contacted the owner Mike King. After no response I called again and Manager Ethan now tells me that per policy, guess some hidden fine print since he didn't even know the policy prior, that cancellation must be given in written notice and mailed to some address bla blabla… This is so wrong. So he claims now that my membership is cancelled. How are you able to do so now without written notice Ethan? Evidently it's ok to lie about canceling a membership and keep stealing someone's money every month? Looked at the reviews and screenshot all the one stars. Almost all of them are similar wrongful charge related issues. At this point, Im considering taking legal action and hopefully others who've they've done this to, will take part in doing so as well. I have proof that they initially claimed my membership was cancelled as well. This is not right and they know it. They admitted wrong doing and all apologies, until they were able to find a way to weasel out of their obligations.

Avoid, avoid! Go somewhere else and avoid this chain. We called to cancel and was told I needed to sign a form to stop my automatic withdrawal. I had just switched banks and knew this wouldn’t be an issue. No calls, no texts, no letters to tell me different and then out of the blue I get a collection letter for $170. I’ve called for two days and I’m still waiting on some imaginary District Manager named Mike to call me back. Horrible Customer Service. Go to McDowell Fitness where you can make a simple call and cancel whenever you want without an issue.

My husband and I came out of state and signed up for this gym. We signed up for the month to month plan so we can cancel anytime. The staff member failed to mention the 30 day notice. We stayed less than a month. Sign up fee for each person was 89$ + a membership fee of 58 $ didn't use the gym in these 30 days + 78$ annual fee. Be aware of their fees overprized!! Month to month plan is a total RIP off.

The staff is very friendly and the regular gym goers are polite and very respectful. It has various of equipments and free weights. Some downsides are there are only 1 free bench and 1 squat rack. If it gets occupied usually it's not for very long. There's no deadlift platform so you have to deadlift in the open area by the squat rack and it can get pretty noisy.
The place is always very clean and neat, including the restroom. Equipments are well maintained.
It never gets too crowded even during rush hour.

My wife signed up with our daughter-in-law then our daughter-in-law went back to Florida and now we can't get her out of the contract that means we have to pay 12 months of her not being able to use it. They will let us out if we pay an enormous fee 50%. I believe that to be a ripoff.

I started going a few years ago and I’ve been in and out of the gym due to Covid and car troubles but every time I go back I always feel so welcomed by the staff and the other people working out as if I’m apart of the family. UPDATE: Received a call from Casey today with an apology. They are going to honor the original term of my contract. Casey I really appreciate you taking the time to reach out and correct this.

If I could give them a zero I would. I signed up for a one year plan on 9.7.19 and was told as long as I have 30 days notice at the end of my year I would not be charged a term fee. Today 8.1.20 I tried to term was greeted with a guilt trip by Breanna and was informed I'd be charged an additional $59 because I was ending my contract early because they decided to push my contract out because they were closed due to COVID. That's just not right. My contract was from 9.7.19 to 9.6.20. I can't control their ability to stay open any more than they can force me to workout. I'm sorry they were forced to close, but extending my contract is not ethical. Casey is this really how you want to treat clients? You've lost this client for life because of how you are choosing to handle this.

Absolutely the worst gym around, multiple people have to me to make sure they don't take more out of your account and I gave them the benefit of the doubt, that was a huge mistake... live and learn just be careful

Nonjudgmental atmosphere, clean and well maintained. Lockers available as well as showers, tanning, hydromassage, and personal trainers. Body scan on premises with consults by appt. The ability to use the equipment literally anytime has been a perk, I'd go here if they had all the above with closing hours.

It's a clean and to know it's in many states helps to travel..the equipment is very good to exercise on....and if handicapped there's equipment for ous too...must try the massage bed it is great ...

Ive been to several WOA locations in the area and this one is by far the smallest and 'budget' of their gym locations. Its like a KFC, but only with a drive-through option. Other than that, its very clean, the mens bathroom is kept cleaner than some of the other larger WOA locations around the area. Its located in a very sleepy, quiet small town so its almost a completely empty during off hours. At 10pm you can probably have the gym to yourself. But due to its size it can get very crowded during peak hours. Its like one extreme to the other.

Watch out for the 'hidden fees' though, front desk sales clerks get commissions on sales and ive got some sales clerks that jacked up my rates to get their piece of the pie. In fact, ive never gotten a fair price with front desk sales(Not just this gym, but all of the WOA in the area), the only time i got a fair price is when i went directly to the gym manager or the gym had a special promotion deal.

The staff is amazing. They are very friendly and as helpful as they can possibly be. The gym itself is super clean, with good equipment The reason I can't rate it higher is the workout space is way to small for the number of members. Especially in the afternoon. The space is too crowded for a lot of free weight movements, and there's a lot of waiting for a machine or bench to become free. More than one set of dumbbells would also be helpful.
