I have been working with Barry for a few years now and I have become a better cyclist with consistent work on and off the bike. I have finished numerous races better than I have ever thought I could. Im not a podium place rider but you never know it may happen 😀

Barry’s the real deal. Great energy, great coaching. We set goal, made a plan and we where able to see big improvements in a few short weeks. Barry holds you accountable for your end of the bargain - "if yah can't stand the heat, get the hell out the kitchen."

I’ve been working with Barry for the past 6 months, focusing on triathlon training (primarily cycling for full-distance triathlons) and cyclocross. We’re also gearing up for some gravel racing soon, and I’m looking forward to that next phase with him.

Since starting with Barry, my FTP has increased by 25 watts, and my overall endurance has improved significantly. More than just physical gains, he’s helped me understand the why behind the training — from using TrainingPeaks more effectively to digging into the data in a way that actually makes sense.

What I appreciate most is that Barry doesn’t sugarcoat anything — he tells it to me straight, which I respect. He brings deep knowledge and insight, especially around performance data, and somehow manages to work around (and through) my BS with patience and humor.

If you’re looking for a coach who combines expertise, honesty, and a no-nonsense approach to helping you get results, Barry’s your guy.

I have been working with Barry for just over a year. I gave Barry a hard task. He had to get me ready for a week long climbing camp and maintain my race fitness. Along the way the camp was canceled, and I had a crash that injured my knee.

Barry was very helpful and concerned with my recovery. Within four months Barry had me strong enough to participate in the Assault on the Carolinas in April, in May, place second in the South Carolina Senior Games road race and complete the Cheaha Challenge Gran Fondo.

This summer the fitness gains continued where I climbed two passes in Yellowstone NP.

Barry has listened to my feedback and input throughout my training, implementing changes as necessary to keep me from over training and to progress my fitness to overcome my injury.

An incredible coach. Barry brings a wide breadth of knowledge and motivated me to bring my best efforts. This was my first time using a coach and my experience was amazing. He prepared me for two big endurance events, BikeMS in late June for 180 miles with the first day being a century. And the Triple Bypass in late July with 118 miles and 10,800 ft of elevation gain in one day. For both events I was strong and recovered quickly. Cannot say enough about how good Barry is.

Great Coach. Well on my way to accomplishing my goal in the 1st 6 weeks. Will probably hit it and even surpass it in the next 6 weeks.

I've been working with Barry for the past few months and have been amazed by the results he was able to help me achieve. I am a primarily recreational cyclist who loves endurance rides and is coming back to the sport after a long absence. I turned 60, was gaining weight, and had a lot of anxiety about getting back into the swing of things. I decided to get some coaching help to prepare for a 130-mile, one-day ride and was happy that I connected with Barry.

With Barry's coaching, I dramatically improved my fitness, increased my FTP three times for a total of 40 points, and regained my confidence on the bike.

Barry lives, eats, and breathes cycling! He is incredibly passionate about the sport and truly delights in helping others achieve results. He devotes an incredible amount of time and energy to his clients and goes above and beyond to help them succeed. Barry is also something of a numbers wonk, and he spends an inordinate amount of time poring over the data to make sure that you hit your training goals and and are ready for your event. He's also available at any time via text, phone, or email.

This man is dedicated to his clients and is fun to work with! If you need help with your training, especially if you are coming back after an absence or injury, Barry is the man to help get you on track!

The first thing I noticed about Barry when I met him was how much energy he brings to coaching. Barry lives and breathes cycling, and he will be just as excited as you when those power numbers start bumping up. Having a coach this enthusiastic in your corner really helps with training motivation.

Overall, Barry tailors your training plan to fit you; your lifestyle, your available time, your commitments, and your goals. He will push you, but within the bounds he knows are sustainable. While you will definitely see short term gains, he is also long term focused and will make sure your training remains a positive experience as time goes on.

Most importantly, Barry gets you results. After a long plateau in my fitness, I saw a 17 Watt FTP increase in just 4 weeks of training. Beyond this, I've set all time PRs all along my power curve, and have certainly achieved my goal of being able to ride harder and faster for longer.

If you want to take your cycling fitness to the next level, I would highly recommend working with Barry.

Barry is a great coach that is 110% dedicated to helping you be successful achieving your goals and will spend as much time as it takes to help you get there! He lives and breathes health and fitness and practices what he preaches. He won't sugar-coat things and will tell it to you straight, no excuses. He is great at understanding issues people are dealing with, as he has worked through a lot of the same things. He truly understands when to push hard and when to back it down and recover. I would highly recommend Barry as a coach whether you are a novice, experienced athlete or elite level competitor. Barry has a unique understanding of diet, health and fitness. He can tailor a program to help you meet or exceed your goals!

Barry is a fantastic coach! Top notch!
I am a female masters athlete trying to come back after major surgeries. Barry brought me back to a higher level of fitness than I had b4 my surgeries. He motivated me, educated me, (understanding why I was doing a specific workout and the benefits of said workout, kept me mentally motivated). I had ALOT of adversity during this time. Barry gave me the support I needed to stay on my bike when life was impossible. He always goes the extra mile for his clients. Excellent Coach.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
