TL;DR: I loved this place. If you've wanted to try a ninja gym, and you're reading this, just do it!...

The long version: I was working in Fargo for a week and staying at one of the many hotels nearby to this gym. I noticed it walking back from dinner at a nearby sports bar, and looked it up. On Sunday morning, I walked over there at noon to get the lowdown. I was welcomed in by Janna, who was wonderful. She gave me a tour of the gym and a summary of my options. I quickly decided I would come back later that day for open gym time.

There is open gym time almost every day, and it's very reasonably priced even for non-members. Currently it's $15 for open gym for a hour, or a little more for 2 hours. An hour is definitely plenty of time to exhaust oneself, especially for a novice.

I did come back, and I had so much fun. The next day, I couldn't believe how lit up my intercostals and pecs were. All the swinging, balancing, and jumping really makes for a great core and chest workout.

I had so much fun that I made a point to go back for the Wednesday night adult class. This was great, even if I wasn't entirely recovered from my Sunday exuberance. The group was large, but divided up into four pods with four separate coaches, it felt like a small group and the coaches kept everyone busy and were quick to scale exercises to individual abilities. I felt very welcomed both by the coaches and by the other participants. Everyone is very encouraging and it was both motivating and fun.

The gym is well-appointed with standard dumbbells, barbells, and racks, so if you somehow have any energy left, there's plenty to get a good pump in to finish.

I highly recommend this to the hotel crowd for anyone who's either ninja curious or just looking for a good workout. I guarantee you'll get a much better, and more fun, workout than in any hotel fitness room. The salmon ladder, warp walls, swinging jumps, and much more are waiting for you.

I should add that this place is incredibly kid/ family friendly. Many of the adults in the class I attended got into it after their kids got started. So, go it alone or take the whole family. It could be a fun date night, too. Just beware, you might get hooked.

This gym looked fun at first and i was super ecstatic to try this gym! As i started going to it i felt very unwelcomed by the coaches. The coaches definitely had favorites!! Two coaches were super nice and i can agree that they made it a little better but the one female coach just made me very uncomfortable and gave me faces for no reason and was just rude in general. I dont think i would come here again.

This place lacks a clear and consistent refund policy, and at times it feels like decisions depend on how well you're able to communicate in English. There also doesn’t seem to be one specific person in charge of registration or follow-ups, which can lead to confusion. For example, you might make a request with one staff member, but another person later may not be aware of it.

If English is not your first language, it might be challenging to navigate communication here. I hope the management considers improving their structure and communication to make the experience smoother for everyone.

Son loved it at first. He was pretty good overall. Needed some help in a couple areas that was never given. As he was struggling on certain areas the trainer in that area would watch then say nothing to him, but then the next kid does same thing and got all the support they could handle. Teachers/trainers pay attention to the kids they like more. Glad it didn't sign up my other kids.

There was a girl coach who was stupid rude to me and my family and friends. I would never go back again it was a fun gym but they mostly had favorites and treated everyone differently and me and my friend were outcasted. It was very rude and i wouldnt go again. The one girl coach ruined the atmosphere for us and the coaches there arent very welcoming.

We had our first experience at Four Star Ninja this weekend. We did an open gym on Friday and then a competition on Saturday/Sunday. We were incredibly impressed with the facility and EVERY member of the staff and Four Star families. They opened the doors, welcomed us in and made us feel very at home.

I had no idea how large and open the Four Star Ninja space is. It’s clean, friendly and has so much room to explore. I can’t believe I haven’t been bringing my kids there for years. They are such a welcoming community that want you to succeed in your goals. Whether that goal is to be able to swing through the rings or climb the warped wall, they are there helping you on how to achieve it. Not only is it for adults, but a wonderful family fitness center. Love this place! It’s giant, clean, well organized and so much fun for all ages! My 18 month old enjoyed running around and dancing to the music while my 6 year old did all the ninja things! If I wouldn’t have been watching my 18 month old I definitely would have tried the obstacle course 😃 The staff is super friendly and accommodating as well. We have been going to 4 star for over a year now. My 7 year old loves it. Not only has she gotten stronger and more confident but she has also grown socially. The owners are amazing and so encouraging! They know right where each student is at and meets them there with encouragement. My daughter has had a TBI and a lot of trauma in her life and the both the support and encouragement along with the physical aspect has helped her in so many ways. I mean for the most part it’s pretty neat and I’m hoping the classes are better than the experiment today… the girl at the front desk wasn’t friendly at all. It’s kind of a lot that BOTH kids have to pay so much for a membership when i assumed by what I was reading that it was a family trial membership but both my 6 and 7 year old were 50 bucks and the open gym is nice to have but all the equipment is a bit out of reach for the and quite high for any kids that age with no assistance and had I wanted to help or participate in anyway I too would’ve been 50 or the 18 it costs for the hour. Most of the items are just a repeat of what you just did as well. I know it’s a big space but all of it is too high for little kids under the age of 11 and requires a lot of upper body strength which some kids lack nowadays days so more floor work and lowering a few of the five or six twenty to thirty foot long sets would be beneficial to short people. Otherwise.. My kids had fun. And that’s what counts right

I take my second and third grade boys there for a couple hours a week. The boys cannot seem to get enough of the gym. One of my favorite parts as a parent is the growth mindset have continued to help the kids with. After researching different activities for my children to do this year while I am homeschooling, I came across Four Star Ninja academy. I liked that it offered a variety of classes and open gyms during the day. My 4 kids frequently attend an open gym during the day and a class in the afternoon. My kids beg to go every day and after being members for a month, I noticed a great improvement in my children's strength. It has been hard finding an activity that works well with my special needs son. Dustin, Brad and Hannah have all worked incredibly well with my son. They have shown a large amount of patience and wiliness to adjust to his different needs as well as provided the structure he needs to be successful.

Our family has had a very positive experience with Four Star Ninja Academy. We started on a trial so two boys could try an introduction class. They loved it so much we got a family membership so everyone can take classes and open gyms. Five of my kids take at least a class a week and we do at least one open gym every week. My kids do not get tired of going. The staff has been incredibly encouraging, helping the kids right at the level they are working on. Always encouragement and challenging courses, never any shame while practicing. There is weight equipment for adults to use, and though I wanted to lift, it was very intimidating. Dustin took the time to walk me through the equipment and helped me right at the level I needed. I can workout while my kids are in classes and doing open gym. This has been such a godsend for my family this winter. Dustin, Brad, and all the staff are serious a great balance of challenging, fun, and always encouraging. Highly recommend.

They have learned the value of hard work and resilience. When my 11 year old started, he struggled with the 10 foot warped wall. After hard work, he has gotten up the 10 AND 12 foot wall!! Four Star Ninja Academy is such a unique experience that has shown me I need more upper body strength. I enjoy the show ’American Ninja Warrior,’ and I have always said I want to do that. This place gave me that opportunity - and it's harder than it looks. The owners are so friendly and encouraging. I enjoyed the kid and adult sections of the gym. It’s a very affordable gym and love that they have free weights and squat racks so you can get a traditional workout. I think this space would be perfect for team building events or a fun place for kid or adult birthday parties. I highly recommend this place, and even if you're not from the area, it is something fun to do with the family.
