The Body Shop has gone above and beyond in regard to upgrading their facility for their members. The additions of the brand new equipment, basketball court, tanning, 3D body scans, and the smoothie bar have all been great to use and experience. The staff and other members are all kind, helpful, and encouraging. The staff is very knowledgeable in company policies when asked questions as well. I couldn’t recommend a better gym in the area!

I love so much about this gym, but unfortunately, some staff members can be very rude and unwelcoming from the start. Katelyn in particular has been consistently unfriendly and rude, not only to me but also to many others, which has even led people to cancel their memberships. No one should be treated that way, especially at a place that’s meant to support growth, health, and bettering yourself.

Great facility, has all your needs for the beginner to serious workout person. The gym has basketball and pickleball for youth and adult groups. Also has tanning beds and "Red Light" bed. This gym is the star of Austintown open 24/7. When I am in town this is the place to go, this is called Froze.. There is also a a protein drink with small meals next door with great drinks. First class gym for all.

After reading the comments, I see my experience is the same as many. Rude customer service, no responses to emails and no return phone calls either. Charged me for a new month when I submitted a request to cancel and asked for a refund. The guy I finally spoke to on the phone was beyond rude, refused to refund the charges that were literally taken 2 days before, and said he’d have a “manager” call me back, which of course, never happened. I guess when you’re hard up for money to pay the bills, ripping off customers becomes the norm. Sad for a local business to treat patrons this way. Just be aware of what you’re getting into when you purchase a “membership” to this place. Negative 10 out of 10. 🙄

Beyond a doubt, the best equipment gym in the area. Huge workout area w every piece of equipment you can possibly need, including multiple pieces of the same equipment so there is no waiting. Plenty of room to move around, large turf area with sleds including the Tank sled. Restrooms are spacious and super clean. The 24x7 access w a real person working the desk is a bonus. They accept Silver Sneakers which is great. The attached Smoothie shop is an added bonus. Highly recommend.

Been going here for 5 years now, equipment and everything is very good, but got a new job and will be traveling a lot more and had to cancel membership. When you do cancel it is effective immediately and can’t even finish out the month that I PAID for. My other friend as well joined the marines and was out of town for almost a year and they also did not let him cancel his membership through the phone. Not only does this seem very disrespectful, but also women are cheaper than men for a membership to go here which does not seem ethical in the slightest.

Horrible customer service, and policies …

They’re more than happy to take your payment on the mobile app, but you have to jump through hula hoops to get your membership canceled. I reached out to them via email for a membership, cancellation, and got no response. After another charge at my account, I came back to the gym to finally cancel the subscription…

Upon my arrival, I promptly canceled the subscription, but figured I would still be allowed to use the remaining month (since the charge was recent) . NOPE

NO refund, NO more membership. They told me I was no longer allowed at the gym now that I’ve canceled the subscription, but said I could buy a $10 day pass!

My husband signed up for the membership here and called twice and canceled it over the phone after being charged 2 months while not even going. He was told that the membership would be canceled each time. After charging our account another month, I called up and the person I spoke to was extremely rude and said that my husband did not cancel since he can only cancel in person. Just a heads up for anyone looking into this gym.

I'm not happy with the reason of I and my husband are new to the area and planning to stay there for a few months to see how are business would or might flourish..to say most gyms have a guest pass that is either for a few days or a week...to see if you like the gym or not
This gym does not have a guest pass policy but rather a $15.00 dollar a day day pass ☹️ it's a nice gym from what I heard but I need to see for myself and my current gym before I joined I was given a guest pass for 1 week ...I was sold after that week and had been with them for 4 years now.. please don't let my opinion discourage anyone from attending here because of my feeling. I will go when they offer a guest pass .until then ...I will go to there competition that does do have guest passes 7 days 💪🏾💪🏾💪🏾

I’m a former member of this gym. Unfortunately my work schedule and intermittent issues with musculoskeletal injuries have been a barrier to me going to the gym. Due to the above a long term commitment isn’t a wise investment. I was so excited to go in this morning with the hope of paying cash for a one month or even 6 month membership to give myself a chance to gradually build my level of fitness, then long term commitment. I was turned down!! They would not except cash! I’m not sure what kind of business model this is or perhaps it’s a way to simply exclude some people from membership. This is a gym I once loved, I’m very disappointed.

Great place to go for an all around workout. I've been going there for a year and wouldn't want to go anywhere else. This place has a nice hometown feel to it, with the walls painted with the colors of the local high school. The staff is friendly and there's all the equipment you need to get the job done.

The ownership of this place has changed recently, and so has the feel of it. The old body shop had a more personal, hometown feel to it, whereas now it has a generic gym feel to it. The membership prices are cheaper, but now it has an average run of the mill gym feel to it.

I came out to visit family from CO, and made the 30 minute drive because this gym is WORTH it. As a woman, I never felt gawked at or uncomfortable (which unfortunately, is a very common thing for ladies at gyms). Everyone is friendly and there's never a wait for ANY machine. Tons of free weights and other exercise equipment too. AND IT'S AFFORDABLE!
