I have been a member at this club for the last 3 years. The reason I have joined this club us because it's open 24 hrs and 7 days a week. And I never have to wait to get on an equipment. All the staff is nice too. Plus it costs a fraction of money compared to other large gyms and still it has lots of equipments. Recently it reopened as Evol fitness under new ownership/management. I still like this gym and I highly recommend this gym.

The gym is toxic, just as stated. There is tons of drama and they are all about the money. The personal training is a joke. Make sure you have a lawyer with you before you sign any contract. They will use every way possible to screw you over. They also have more turn over then any company I've ever seen. If you sign up with a trainer you like they will most likely not be there in a few months and they will force you to workout with someone else. If I could give negative stars, I would.

I was told my membership is cancelled 3 months ago. I talked to Eugene THREE TIMES. He told me he forgot to cancel it and it was now cancelled. I was just charged AGAIN this morning. Shardiest business practices in the Cory. Avoid like the plague. Gyms a dump too and the people are toxic. Lots of mean mugging, drugs, and tempers.

Elevated was a decent gym until Eugene (owner) came into the picture. The man disappeared for about 6 weeks, did not notify any of the employees or members about what happened. I could not tan for 6 weeks, members were afraid their credit cards got scammed, afraid they would go to the gym one day and it would be closed down. All the employees quit because they weren't getting paid by Eugene. Eugene has no guts and does not know how to run a gym. How does it happen where there are zero employees at a gym for at least 4 weeks. Imagine if someone would have gotten injured or hurt in the gym, so incompetent. Members paid different monthly dues than other members which is screwed up. The previous manager use to charge his friends low rates ($14 a month sometimes) while people like me always paid $26.99 a month. They are currently having a promotion for females at $7.99 a month, while I pay $26.99 a month which is sexist and screwed up. I know about 5 other friends who have left this gym also. That stupid yellow keycard cost around $43 and you will be charged for it if it breaks or quits working which happened to me and others I know. No apology or compensation from Eugene once he returned to elevated fitness 6 weeks later. Could not even send an email to members stating what happened. The stupid gym automatically renews your yearly contract to without asking, and when you tell an employee you wanted to cancel when your year was up, they renew you anyway to scam you. I have been a member of elevated fitness for 2.5 years and look forward to leaving. I do not want to give Eugene another cent of my money. Workout equipment is decent and 24 hours a day is nice. But if you want to get scammed on your credit card, want mean looks from 18 year old punks up there for no reason and to be disadvantaged by a terrible owner in Eugene, I would choose a different gym to join if I were you.

ATTENTION!!! DO NOT SIGN UP FOR A MEMBERSHIP!! My girlfriend (who has a child) moves up from Texas. We got a membership online and went to the gym. Currently their are little to few class due to non payment from the owner to his employees. Their is NO kid club like they said in their website and on their fb page!! Your key card for after business does NOT work!! They have NO manager because the owner has not paid him either. I went in to get my money back and there was NO one to help us. Cancel your membership if tou cant do that call your bank and dispute the charges. That is what I had to do. SHAME ON YOU, whoever owns this gym. Stealing from your costumers!! Robbing your hard working employees. Elevated Fitness and owner. Take this as notice that you breached your contract with me. I should have 24 access to the gym. I should have access to training and classes along with the kids club. You will not take money from my account from this point on. If you do I will press charges for theft. Current employees that have not been paid. Stop waiting call the better business bureau and take actions to get paid!! Good luck to you all

Elevated Firness staff was very helpful and courteous. Allowed a membership for a few weeks while on vacation with full access. Classes were great, cycling and yoga. Plenty of equipment available. Never waited for a machine or free weights. Will return.

Update*Owners response is a lie. Was not under contract as i had been there 2 years before new owner came. He just tried to charge me for September as well. I didnt cancel over the phone i cancelled by talking to him twice in person in june before I left. He said talk to me later in the week then said it was too late even tho June my last payment went through the day I talked to him.
This whole thing is utterly ridiculous that 3 months later after i cancelled and moved im still being charged. He knows I wasnt under any contract with him.
Cancelled membership on the day of last payment charge in June as I was moving out of state. Just got charged for July even tho havnt been in Ohio for a month.
Not only am I still being charged, the owner was very suspicious of me leaving cause so many others are too.
Guess all the talk around the gym of the new owner sucking is true.

Nice large gym. A bit expensive but the largest gym in the area so machines are always open. Worth it

I'm an avid weight lifter and I've been to a lot of gyms. Like many other gym owners, this guy will try to squeeze every dime he can out of you. If you can get past that, the gym does get the job done, but it doesn't do anything else.
@Owner how many dissatisfied customers are worth an extra 20-40 bucks here or there? Reputation is everything in the gym world and maintaining one is financially beneficial to you.

Best place in the area to work out. Lots of equipment, always clean, always open, always friendly and very affordable. The best part is I can get my workout in and be back home in an hour and its not a social hour like at the Rec Center.

I have been a member for five years. The gym has very good equipment in the aerobic area as well as the machine and free weight areas. It is also very clean and well maintained. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable.....I would recommend this gym to anyone.

Been a member for several years........ currently using a trainer with a VB background 3 days a week to help with my volleyball conditioning & nagging issues - pleased with what she's done with me so far.......aside from that the membership is reasonably priced, open 24/7.....they have classes if that's your thing along with a few tanning booths - recently under new ownership and they have recently invested in various new equipment.

Elevated Fitness is a local community feel gym and has everything you could need in a facility! The patrons all know each other and the staff gets to know you on a personal level. It is always kept clean and the group classes are super fun with high energy instructors! You cannot ask for anything more than what Elevated has to offer!

This is not a bad gym for the price. As mentioned in all the previous comments, there are many good attributes that puts this gym above others in the area. The only complaint I have is that I needed to cancel my membership because my girlfriend and I were moving to another area. I understood the fact that I would need to pay a cancellation fee as I signed a contract. The cancellation fee was $100 plus one months payment. I had just made a payment two days ago for the month in advance that would have been nice to use as credit toward the cancellation fee since I won't be able to get the use out of that entire months payment. Santino technically did nothing wrong by not allowing me to use that payment toward credit on the cancellation fee, and many will disagree with this review, but I like to see business owners keep their clientele happy (past and present), as long as they're not being ridiculous. I could have been paying better attention to the details and cancelled a few days ago, and that's my fault. But since Santino is taking advantage of the fact that I didn't to make an extra $40, I feel that's worthy of a poor review. If you're going to need to cancel your gym membership here, make sure you cancel right before your next payment so you don't end up paying $100 plus two months cancellation fee.

The guy who reviewed the staff as "cliquey" is dumb. Do you go to a gym to hang out with the employees or work out. The staff is very nice and helpful. It is 24/7, has equipment to do most any exercise, and has a large room to work out in that I have used for karate stretching and exercises. How is 20 dollars a month not a good deal for the only 24/7 gym in Strongsville, I can come at my convenience before or after work. Good gym.

Place is ok, id give it like a 7/10. Staff is really nice. Santino is a really nice guy and seems like a great owner. Love the fact its 24 hours. Bathrooms are new and nice. Only downside is equipment is dated and old. And you dont get things like swimming basketball etc like the rec center. I wish they did their billing in house and not out of state i ran into some issues with that. But overall good place if your busy and 24/7 appeals to you.
