I’ve been training out of Built Training Facility in Hilliard for 7 years, offering 1:1 personal training and small group sessions that empower women to take control of their health and happiness.

Karlee is a patient, knowledgeable and a motivating trainer. She walks the walk and will help you through all your health goals. She will push you through lifts you don’t think you can do and she will also back off when you honestly are at a breaking point. And she has a million ideas…there’s variation in workouts with her. I’ve been with her for over two years and will always be a client of hers. She’s helped me gain muscle, reshaped my body, and strengthened my confidence along the way.

I was so impressed with Karlee’s nutritional knowledge. She’s able to meet a client where they are in their particular fitness journey and tailor a specific plan to meet your individual goals. That’s a big deal to a person who hasn’t worked out in years and has limitations due to a chronic illness. The videos of exactly how to do each exercise are really helpful and she always answers any questions I have. It’s such a luxury to be listened to and understood while building a better body. When I decided to go down the path of bettering my health I was nervous to say the least. Walking into the Self Made Training Facility, to meet Karlee for the first time, I almost turned around and walked right out. However, sitting down with Karlee she told me that we can take it one session at a time and she is here to guide and support. I’ve been training with Karlee for about 3 years and let me just say she has been amazing. I told her how I struggled with gaining weight and I kid you not, within 3 months my results were incredible. I gained muscle in areas that I didn’t know were possible! The gym scares me. I’ve played sports most of my life so I never needed to go to the gym. However, when I stopped playing sports and my health declined, I didn’t know what to do. I’ve had gym memberships in the past, but if you don’t know what you’re doing at the gym, it’s almost unproductive. I decided to see a personal trainer because I knew if I didn’t have someone to help me workout, I’d never do it. I was recommended Karlee through a friend, and she has helped me so much. She helped me gain confidence in myself, in my workouts, and in going to the gym feeling like I belonged there. She always had a plan ready to go for our sessions, she explained every move and made sure to correct me if I was doing an exercise wrong, and she put up with all my complaining. She’s very patient. She’s all about wanting you to feel good about yourself above all else. She’s understanding, sweet and compassionate. I once cried during a session and I didn’t understand why, and she took the time to explain how my emotions were releasing through the exercise, and that I’m not the only one who has cried before. She’s flexible with times and lets you make up sessions that you have to miss before of vacation, work etc. She creates a welcoming environment and has grown a great community. I 100% recommend Karlee if you’re a newbie, or someone who has worked out but wants to get more focused in the gym. Or heck, even if you’re experienced you should workout with Karlee. She tailors the workout plans to what you need and want to achieve. She’s also very encouraging, and didn’t yell like other personal trainers do. Her approach isn’t intimidation but in building up confidence, which I appreciated. It helped keep me open and feeling positive. Karlee is both a great person and personal trainer! Can’t recommend her more.
