I've been to planet fitnesses across each edge of the country. I do not like the limited equipment at this location. To do dips or anything with cables is so hard to get access even early morning due to almost none being accessible since there's only a couple spots. This location for whatever reason has way too many treadmills and is missing basic leg equipment. Impossible for me to do a full leg day here.

I always dread my workouts when I go to Cedar Point because of the limited equipment in this location.

For 10 bucks you get a tanning bed. Wow. For 20 bucks you got a lap pool and a deep end pool. Pools that people with disabilities. Arthritis. So for tanning beds. The YMCA closed for good. Aug 2024 and this is still a great location near Cedar Point when in town for the parks. Just wished they were opened later on the weekends.

Previously I'd given this gym three stars because they were still on the limited hours post COVID in Sept 2022. When I was in town one of the nights they actually closed about an hour before the time they even had posted on the door.

However I came back in the June 2023 time frame and it's open 24 hours a day during the week and limited hours on the weekends which isn't too bad. The gym and equipment is in good shape and the bathrooms were in excellent condition as well. Would definitely come back again when I'm in town visiting Cedar Point.

This review is about the Amerst/Lorain Location. I have never been to the Sandusky location. Don't know why Google posted my review under Sandusky!
When I started, I really liked the place. But they won't enforce their posted rules and corporate won't hold them accountable. There was a fitness coach for about 1 month in the 2 years I went there. I finally realized I was getting more stress from being in the club than I was getting rid of by working out.

I’m visiting from out of town and this was the closest gym. They claim to be judgment free but when I walk into a gym that doesn’t have a bench, squat rack or deadlift platform it’s clear they don’t want a certain type of lifter there. I don’t judge anyone and am happy for anyone that wants to better themselves through excercise but this makes me feel like this gym doesn’t want my business which is why I turned around and walked out. Also, the free tootsie rolls on the check in counter seems counter intuitive to me. Anyway, if you’re like me, you’ll want to drive a little further for a different gym.

Don’t have a baby and get a membership I have to go there and get money back
From bed rest they would not cancel it over the phone or online and was not capable of getting there . I ended up at rainbow babies and then had more time that went by and they kept billing me after multiple attempts to stop the membership. Now I have to go find a way to get them to refund months of a membership I never used. Having a newborn and a 6 year old . It is so hard as a single mother I feel like I don’t even have time to get there and get it done. Any spare time I have to go get formula, diapers, groceries, help with homework, pick up and drop off at school, doctor visits for everyone which is all the time! I mean they really make it hard for single mothers I will never ever get a membership again and I will be jogging with my stroller and home workouts with my 6 year old.

Love most everything about PF,now that the parking lot has been repaved and lined. BUT my complaint is about no signs or employee monitoring of members who don’t observe proper gym etiquette,in that they monopolize machines sitting on them while looking at cell phones (for long periods!), and “marking” a machine with their possessions while they go work out on another machine and get ticked when they come back to the machine they marked and find you on it! I was always taught “use it or lose it”! Most people want to get their workout in,in as short a time as possible and inconsiderate members keep this from happening. I would appreciate to hear that ownership will address this issue as this has been ongoing since I joined and I’ve had a number of other members voice their same feelings on this to me. Thank you!

They need more upright exercise bikes. They only have 5 and the one on the far left between the two glider machines never works properly. They have about 20 glider machines (or whatever they are called) and no one ever uses them. Get rid of some of them and get more exercise bikes. Never been in a PF location with less than 15 bikes and I've moved around the country a lot and have been a PF member for years.
