Great staff. Great selection weight machines (best reason to come here). I do not like the cardiovascular with only a few programs, and no keypads (good for beginners though). TVs for every cardio machine, but remotes do not work with them (use the buttons on the side). The shopping area parking lot is too dark at night.

This place has really gone downhill. Years ago, I left Stow for here when Stow seemed to be 85% cardio machines. The Streetsboro experience was great. Better machines.

It started to go south. No selfie signs appeared. Yes, on the day that sign went up, my sarcasm made sure I took a selfie with that sign over my shoulder. Next, other signs threatening membership appeared when the management claimed selfie signs were being yanked off the wall. I soon found myself return to Stow.

Later, the news suggested a car jacking in the Streetsboro parking lot, and no weapon signs appeared at the Streetsboro club. Feel safe walking to your car at night?

Today, I visited Streetsboro to see if it had changed. Not for the better, that's for sure. No truck parking signs. No public restroom signs. Still no weapon signs. Multiple "you only get one warning signs" in the club.

When I have visited other Planet Fitness to look around, all I had to do was scan my Planet Fitness app. This was not the case today. Escort required.

Planet Fitness is mostly an easy going place. This is not the case here. Bad location. Bad policies. If I live a block away, I am driving to a different city.

There is a sign on a column right outside the planet fitness door: "No truck parking, regardless of gym membership. Your truck will be towed". So far so good, I have only been to this gym twice so far. I have used the 30 min circuit room which is very nice, however, both times my pattern was stopped by someone jumping in to use the next machine in my routine, which has been a bit annoying, especially when it was the last machine I needed, but not the biggest deal. Very clean, bright, safe environment. I liked that the bike I used for cardio connected to my smart watch. Looking forward to using the spa services soon.

So busy its unusable.

Unless you can workout in the middle of a weekday or at 3am than I would go somewhere else. This gym is so busy during normal hours Mon-Fri 3pm-9pm that you can barely get a workout in. There have been times I've left after 5 minutes because I knew i wouldn't be able to get a lift in with the sheer amount of people there. Nearly every machine has a group of teenagers hogging it for 45min, but hey if you want your gym experience to be like going to trader joes on a saturday then this is the gym for you.

On Sunday, 11/17/24, I encountered a male member in the women’s locker room at the Streetsboro, OH location. When I asked if he was male, he responded, "I’m trans." After this brief exchange, I walked to the front desk to raise my concern. It was explained that Planet Fitness’ policy allows transgender individuals to use the locker room that aligns with their gender identity.
While I support the rights of all members and humans in general, this policy tramples the rights of women and I feel strongly that this could affect the comfort and privacy for the majority of us. How would you feel if your daughter had to share a locker room with a man? There is nothing to prevent a man from sharing our locker room with an underage girl. There is a men’s locker room nearby that could serve as an option for anyone with male anatomy. Alternatively, Planet Fitness may want to consider creating a dedicated, all-gender area for members who identify differently from their birth gender.
My apologies if any aspect of this message causes offense. My intent is to address a privacy matter that may impact our comfort and safety in the locker room.

Why anyone goes to Planet Fitness is beyond me. There is no fitness being achieved in a place that feeds their clientele donuts and pizza. They basically want to create an environment that coddles you, one that perpetuates your unhealthy lifestyle and discourages you from pushing yourself to achieve actual results. Bryant at Streetsboro is a fitness saver. I am grateful that this location finally got a trainer. After the Kent location lost Kate, I floundered. My reasoning for joining Planet Fitness was based on having the trainer to hold me accountable and to workout with others. Covid sent my job home full time. Having a trainer and classes, my time at the gym gives me the sense of team effort, support, human interaction, and encouragement. It is more than just using the machines and doing what I can. I have been working out with Bryant both one on one and in group sessions for a few weeks. I am very pleased with his routines, occasional on the fly changes, and his alternate exercises when someone has limitations. I know of at least 4 others that have transferred their home gym to Streetsboro from Kent since Kate’s leaving. She was an amazing trainer and her decision to move on did not come easily. We all understand that she needed to go where she could earn a wage that supports the cost of living for a family. It is my hope, as well as many others, that Bryant is recognized and acknowledged by your organization as he is by those of us that appreciate his help. If I wanted to work out alone or via an app I could save my money, stay home and use the equipment I own. I enjoy the Planet Fitness experience over many other gyms I have gone to. The equipment and facilities are on a higher level. Having the ability to visit other gyms while I am traveling is a wonderful bonus.

I’ve been a member for a few years and really enjoy the gym, amenities, and staff(mostly). I have spoken to staff about the ventilation, or lack of, and the temperature in the gym, and have been told, “yes, we will turn the fan up” and “no, we are not allowed to turn fans up”. So which is it? why is it so hot? The two fans they have are usually on lowest or lower settings and it is nice and cool in locker rooms, but the gym is too hot and has poor ventilation. It would be great if they could get individual fans for the cardio equipment like they have in other planet fitness’s without adequate ventilation, or keep the temperature in the gym cool. As members of the gym we should be comfortable exercising. Thanks for your hard work and I appreciate those employees that are helpful.

I am a relatively new member, and I really appreciate the fitness coach because I did not have a clue where to begin. Bryant is my trainer, and he is professional, patient and kind. Streetsboro Planet Fitness provides a clean, fun atmosphere with plenty of equipment to use and plenty of space to stretch out! The lighting is soft compared to some other Planet Fitness locations, where harsh LEDs have been installed. They have a Total Body Enhancement Booth, which most Northeast Ohio Planet Fitness' don't have, and Streetsboro PF is also open longer on the weekends than the other surrounding gyms. I feel most comfortable there.

This is a great gym. They have a lot of equipment so you're not rubbing up against people. It's always super clean. Way cleaner than other locations. The GM Sheri is always out there lending a hand with the cleaning and leading by example which is nice. The staff is really nice too. It's a very comfortable, homey atmosphere. You just feel like it's ok to be you. Sometimes the members take that to extremes. Many seem to think the rules are for other people and not them. Funny to see reviews by people who openly admit they were breaking the rules and they're mad about being called out for it. But this is a problem in our society not just this gym. Bottom line it is a great gym, especially for the price point, and Sheri does a fantastic job.

I have been going to this gym for 3 years with no issues. The New general manager at this gym is constantly is harassing people as they workout . I was given a warning on wearing crocs she then kept following and watching me through the gym and many others around corners came up to me a staggering 3 more times at one point physically poking my shoulder during a set . (Every interaction was extremely rude and spoke as if she was a teacher and I was a child )despite still being calm she came up to me again After saying I was kicked out for wearing crocs . All in the same day! I was not the only customer being harassed by this woman she was coming up and yelling at many others . When I politely asked what her name was and her position and I would like to not be apart of a gym where I cannot focus in . She replied by dangling her General manager keys in my face asking what that says and was bragging about knowing the owner and nothing can happen to her . The most insane reaction I’ve ever had with a human being . She then refused to let me cancel . On the way out came yelling NO . Which in turn finally agitated me . Highly recommend to let go this general manager. She has no idea about anything gym related in her life or the dangers of distracting someone lifting heavy . Talks down to people and should be replaced with someone with more of a customer service background .

I've have heard unpleasant stories about this manager before but have never had the pleasure of dealing with this unpleasant person until today. When asking about this new tanning schedule with another employee, I suggested that tiered tanning beds time should be staggered like other PF I have been to. Cassie immediately jumped in and rudely told me that that's corporate decision not hers. Managers should not address customers in this manner. Also tanning bed time should be staggered waiting a half an hour is a bit ridiculous.

We've gone to this gym 4 times now, attempting to renew our teenage son's membership. Nobody at the front desk has a clue how to help customers. Four times. Either the "system was down", the person just didn't know how to do it. This gym doesn’t communicate well. Multiple times they’ve closed down for snow, but there isn’t a heads up or email. I asked them about it, and it’s on us to check their website to see if they are open. Other Planet Fitness gyms will give an email notification if there is a closure for various reasons.

Over all it is a good gym. The equipment is clean and reliable. The floor plan feels tighter between machines compared to other gyms I’ve been too. The workers are friendly, and I like that the gym is open 24 hours.

I was here a month ago. Loved it. Within a month they have Forged my sister's signature and stole money from her after she unsubscribed from planet fitness. They told my sister to come up and show them the money bit... Needless to say my sister was talked down too, hung up on, and threatened with harassment due to them telling her to come up to this hell and show them what they did wrong, when clearly they should see it on their end.
