Just in my second month of boxing, starting older than most, but the trainers here have helped me get into the best shape I've been in decades. Everyone is welcomed, treated with respect, and given individualized training. No fees, no dues, just donate what you can afford. An absolute gem.

not your typical new style gym. When you first walk in you can feel the history of this place. Even just going inside to check it out has so much to offer. Hundreds of photos on the wall.

Great place full of history. Sam’s Gym has no such instructors as the 5’3” one described below… Fake review. All of the sparring is very controlled

My son went here when he was a teenager. He was begging to hang out with "the wrong crowd" but Sam taught him accountability, discipline, respect, and that true strength comes from knowing you can handle a bad situation if need be, but only as a last resort! My son is an adult and thriving because of what he learned here!

Some gyms are hidden gems, the atmosphere there is different, even from other gyms. You can feel the history in your bones. Bottom line if you want to learn how to kick box or box in Ohio, well you'll find no better establishment.

Sam Jones is a world famous kick boxer and runs THE oldest boxing gym in America. It is free and open to the public. Open Mon and Wed 6-8. He opens at exactly 6pm. So don't get frustrated and leave before 6. He accepts donations and encourages kids to learn.Bring a friend!

Sam's gym is a legitimate boxing gym. Sam is a local icon and hero, and a really great guy who cares about everyone who walks through his door. A great place to work out and learn or practice your boxing skills.

I was 16 the first time I went to Sam's gym to spare; it's a long way from home. Now I'm 32, a coach, and I take my fighters there to spare now. Sam is a very knowledgeable coach and a very good fighter well worth any drive to get to his gym. If you go to his gym remember to donate to the donation jar it goes to a good cause.
