Fitness center Personal trainer Tanning salon Weight loss serviceAbout the Club
Pride Fitness is serious about fitness, and offers a wide range of fitness equipment, including a cardio area, free weights for experienced exercisers and athletes, and a circuit training area that's more manageable for beginners. In addition we have three tanning beds!
We don't bother with all the extras like juice bars and childcare that drive up costs and can make a gym membership seem more like a car payment. Instead, we've boiled our business down to the things that you really want in a fitness center- clean, stylish, hassle-free facility that is filled with cardio and strength equipment, and a lot of happy people.
If you're looking for a comfortable, friendly place to exercise, and like a great deal, then you'll love Pride Fitness.

There was an issue with the billing company and the facility made it right without even asking for it! Great place with customer service always in mind.

Nice staff and nice, new, and clean equipment. But I wish there were more hamstring machines like a seated hamstring curl machine. I also wish that there was a smith machine with no counter weight because I like the stability of a smith machine but I don't like that it assists me.

Went to set up a membership and was ready to sign up. When asked if I was military I showed a picture of my veteran badge on my ID. That wasnβt enough. Either need a CAC card for active duty or need a βretiredβ card. Tried explaining I wasnβt active duty or retired, but am still a veteran and the vibe was off. Maybe I came too early in the day or something. I wasnβt feeling it at all so I just changed my mind and decided Iβll pick up a membership in Lawton instead.

Friendly staff, all the equipment I need, and I enjoy the 24 hour day access with key card door locks.

Overall the facility is good and the staff are very friendly. The main issue I have is the amount of completely broken or halfway working elliptical and treadmills there. Some of them are just old and need to be replaced. I tried to use a machine today and of course it was broken. They need to have routine maintenance done in order to stay on top of problems like this. I donβt think thatβs asking too much for equipment to work.
Update 07/01/23 more equipment is broken and unusable two more treadmills are down. Will these issues ever be addressed?

It's not open 24/7, for one. My biggest issue is the price for what you're getting, compared to the gyms in Lawton. It's cheaper for a Planet Fitness or for a Anytime Fitness membership to include amenities like massage machine, tanning, etc.
I can understand why this gym is appealing for heavy lifters, but for the average person or for beginners, I don't think it is. The freeweights don't even have the weights labeled on them, except a few with some sharpie attempts, but they're so worn out you can't tell. They don't really have a stationary bike machine for average people unless you go for the one with a chair-back. It's also a sort of small gym so during peak hours it can get pretty hectic, usually finding a place to stretch is impossible at those times.
Overall I think updated free weights and machines would improve this place tremendously and would make it more inviting for beginners...

This is a good gym for 2019, but they have taken no Covid precautions other than pieces of paper taped to certain machines that are still plugged in and accessible.
Social distancing is not even suggested verbally, People are not encouraged in any way to sanitize the equipment they use, and even the employees do not wear masks.
Often there are people that cough loudly and visibly into their hands before they rerack weights without sanitizing them and workers do nothing about it.
If you care about your own health, stay home or go somewhere else because this gym does not care. Itβs the businessβs choice how they handle the pandemic, itβs your choice to come in.
Aside from that, bathrooms are disgusting and very rarely are paper towels changed and trash taken out.

Girls Bathroom is disgusting i would rather drive to the Fires Gym on Fort-sill and would still be the same amount in gas as the monthly cost do not recommend anybody goes to this gym.

Great local gym that offers 24 hour access. Great selection of free weights. If you're in to tanning it's included as well. The only negative is that the cardio equipment is out of date and doesn't always work correctly.

Pretty good gym for such a small town. Great deals for military and it's open all night long with a key fob. It is definitely worth the monthly rate.

This gym is awesome! Itβs small but they have all the equipment I needed. Iβm visiting family in Elgin for the holidays and hate missing days at the gym. Pride was super cool about getting me a week pass, unlike the big chain gyms who make you pay $20 a day. If I lived in Elgin, Pride would be my gym!

The staff is very friendly. The equipment is in great condition and the gym is kept very clean. Even though it is on the smaller side, it is better than any gym I have been to in elgin and lawton ok. Also very affordable.
