2 years ago I was looking for a non-corporate gym to rehab my injured knee and get in better overall shape, and I really hit the jackpot with Coach Nate and Club Sweat. No wannabe IG influencers or creeper gym bros here; just an effective, no-nonsense, back to basics approach in a small class setting that allows personal attention from a trainer who knows his stuff and truly cares about his clients. And the workouts? Different muscle groups each day, and different exercises each time that will leave you gasping on the floor after an intense hour... and yet so fun that that you're coming back for more the next day. I've had personal trainers before (including one from Gold's Gym Venice), but I can honestly say, thanks to Coach Nate and Club Sweat, I'm in the best shape of my life-- and my knee is completely healed!

The coach/owner regularly misses scheduled classes leaving participants locked outside with no workout. Classes are barely worth it when he does show. Impossible to get money back when the owner no shows too. Plenty of better more reputable gyms to spend your money at.

Be cautious. This business is experiencing difficulties and it may be difficult to cancel. Thereβs no online ability to cancel, only verbally or by text. No ability to retrieve your contract online or via the app. The owner and sole employee does not reliably show up to class so it may be hard to use the membership you pay for. When I attempted to cancel he was unresponsive. When he finally responded, he was insulting and unprofessional, and I ended up having to cancel my credit card and get a new one. Classes are fine, on par with a box gym workout. Nate makes good use of the small space.

I really enjoyed the small-group workouts at this gym! The personalized attention and guidance on form from Coach Nate were excellent, so I felt like I got a lot out of each workout. I really liked the balance between strength and cardio, and since you were never doing the same move for too long I didn't get bored. I never run, but I actually enjoyed running on the self-propelled treadmills that they use.
I'm so glad that they had options for me to workout while I was visiting Portland- this was the first time I came back from vacation without gaining weight! Will definitely return the next time I'm in town.

Club Sweat has an excellent gym environment, well maintained equipment, and amazing trainers! The people are great and there are several different membership plans to choose from. I would highly recommend Club Sweat.

Been looking for an experience with a great workout AND a great vibe. The bootcamps deliver every time and the people/vibe are super motivating. I have a gym at home and have a hard time getting out the door for classes and I actually go to these ones!

My health took some unexplained dives 6+ years ago. No doctor, naturopath, or trainer had been able to come up with solutions. But Nathan at Club Sweat get so invested in his clients, he helped build a plan that worked for me. Iβm three months in and have more progress in those 90 days than Iβm the past 6 years. Club Sweat is super fun, always changing, and always challenging. 10/10 would recommend.
