Getting Evan as my personal trainer was one of the best investments I made for myself. Heβs extremely attentive to my goals and had no judgement considering I came in overweight and out of shape. Evan is truly a remarkable professional personal trainer. He is knowledgeable about strength training and healthy habits and has a unique ability to instill positivity and motivation in his clients. From the moment I met Evan, I knew I was in good hands. He took the time to understand my fitness goals, and any physical limitations I had and created a personalized workout plan for me.
One of the things that set Evan apart from other trainers is his focus on proper form and technique. He takes the time to demonstrate exercises and correct any mistakes I make to ensure I perform them safely and effectively. He also regularly adjusts my program to keep things challenging and prevent me from hitting a plateau.
Another aspect that sets Evan apart is his emphasis on healthy habits. He not only helped me to improve my physical fitness but also taught me how to make healthier choices in my diet and lifestyle. Evan is an extremely hard-working and disciplined trainer. He has built excellent workouts for me for when I work with him, as well as when I work out on my own. He always checks in on how I feel about my progress and my goals, and continually listens to feedback to adjust my training as needed. When I first started going to the gym, I felt lost around the weights and my workouts seemed haphazard. Iβd seen one other trainer at a big gym, but the workouts felt impersonal and not customized to me. When I started working with Evan he listened to my goals and helped me find exercises that I could do on my own and build on. Through working with Evan I feel confidant and thorough when I workout. He goes beyond just physical training and can provide great feedback on lifestyle and nutrition. He provided me with so many resources and went above and beyond when creating training plans for long term goals I had. Through working with him I completed (and rocked) my first Spartan! I've been working with Evan for several years now and cannot stress enough the positive impact he has had on my life. Here are a few of the many pros of having Evan as a coach:
1) Evan has an immense wealth of knowledge. He has been out of school for years now but continues to learn the ins-and-outs of his profession to better serve the strength community and his clients. I've learned so much under him, and that isn't limited to just fitness talks - he's great to talk with about music and philosophy as well.
2) If you come to Evan with a goal in mind, he will do everything in his power to get you there. When I started working with Evan a few years ago, I told him I wanted to be a competitive powerlifter. Since then, we have formed a powerlifting team, he's coached me through advanced mobility work to be able to live my best life, hammered technique, and has led me through a national competition (so far!).
3) No BS attitude - Evan doesn't accept excuses and provides resources for you to get to where you need to be.
4) An incredibly fun training environment! Training with my powerlifting team is the best part of the day, we're like a family. Great music, lots of laughs and an encouraging place to be overall.
I could sing his praises for days, honestly. Just do the damn thing and come train with Evan :) !

I've worked with Evan for 2 years now and have gained so much more insight into what a good training protocol can do (short term and long term). Evan has coached me in four powerlifting meets, three Spartan races and is a continual resource of information on everything fitness. I'd highly recommend him if you want to get stronger, perform better, and gain knowledge of how to get your body to function better on a daily basis.

Evan is not only an outstanding trainer but a mentor as well. He is the reason that I became a trainer in the first place and started my own personal training business. Evan is a true example of someone who practices and implements what he teaches into his own life. He pushes himself along with the standard of what personal training is by furthering his own education and knowledge base. His approach is systematic and fine tuned specifically to the goals of his clients and their ability levels.
Once you train with Evan youβll soon learn that you will not want to settle for anything less! Heβs definitely one of the top trainers in the west coast.

I started training with Evan back in 2013 and have never looked back! He is incredibly knowledgeable about strength amd movement and is such an effective coach. He holds me accountable for my progress but supplies me with the tools I need to achieve my goals.
