I joined in Feb, 2025 because my old injuries were catching up to me, I needed strength training, and I was unaccustomed to working out. Fitness Union offered scheduled workouts, with a trainer, in a small group setting (no more than 6), close to home. Also the site made me feel at ease about my inexperience and promoted an environment that wasn't about being macho or flexing egos.

Now that I've been attending twice each week for several months, I feel a real difference. My body feels better in general, I have significantly less pain from injuries, my balance and strength have improved, and I have more energy. My group meets pretty early, but I seriously look forward to getting out of bed and getting to the gym, something no one who knows me would have ever predicted.

I really can't say enough good things about Fitness Union. I get personalized assistance and holistic workouts designed by experts. The owner, trainers, and people in my group are super nice, encouraging, positive people of all ages and backgrounds. If you're apprehensive about getting into exercise and strength training, don't know where to start, need some guidance, this is the right place. If you already have a gym membership but want to try something more personal, targeted, and competition free, give Fitness Union a call.

Beautiful gym, beautiful people, fitness done beautifully. The space is unlike any other training environment I’ve ever been in, the Ambience is warming to the soul. The way the training done is absolutely amazing! Best decision I’ve ever made is to join this community! Love love love! It’s like live laugh love but only love! Everything is perfect!

Fitness Union provides an environment of real acceptance and welcome, where it’s not about how many reps you can do but about a mind/body experience that translates into life outside of the gym. I came in as a complete beginner almost two years ago knowing nothing about weight lifting. Training here is the longest I’ve ever stuck with one type of exercise and it has provided me with a foundation for all the other things I do — I feel the impact on everything from my daily mobility to my increased strength to my capacity for mindfulness. I love this gym and I love Kim!

I have been coached by Kim over the past 3 years and it’s been an incredible experience. I’m still just as excited to work out today as I was when we first started, thanks to our progress and her motivation. She has kept me honest with my goals, and motivates me to develop a healthy relationship with fitness. I work as a chiropractor and I really appreciate that her programs aim to help you get stronger and prevent injuries at the same time.

Kim also has specialized training in running assessment and hosts great workshops on mindfulness and meditation. I highly recommend!!

Kim is incredible!! Working out has been a way for me to open back up to the world in a way I haven’t really done comfortably since Covid. The group is so uplifting and supportive that I’ve never felt self conscious about my body, or silly learning new exercises (like at a gym). I have been doing a variety of different strength and mobility exercises but I was looking for some help with my form and also pain management (IT band nerve pain). Kim put together a 6 week program for me and it helped me SO much! I feel like I know how to squat better and more safely and also how to use a bunch of new tools that don't involve using any equipment. I'm feeling stronger and healthier and am really thankful I went through her program. Looking forward to other future programs with her; she is so encouraging and supportive her her approach. Highly recommend for anyone of any fitness level!!!

I’ve always enjoyed running, but needed help with my efficiency, training regimen, and injury prevention. Kim offers training that is unique to each person and their goals, and she knows that training is not one-size-fits-all. She customized a program for me that capitalizes on my strengths, and challenges the areas that need improvement. Kim’s training program has shaved considerable time off my runs, which has vastly improved my confidence and performance. I run more efficiently, with an increased cadence and stronger form, which means less recovery time after lengthy runs and a better, stronger feeling overall. Most importantly, her expertise has kept me injury-free for several half-marathons, two successful Hood To Coast completions, and I’m now 3 weeks out from my first full marathon! I call Kim my Spirit Trainer because that is exactly what she is....she is always there with me—helping me dig deeper, listen to my body, celebrate my wins (big and small). Kim’s customized workouts were a game changer. They keep me accountable AND allow me to workout when it works for my schedule. Training with Kim keeps me fit physically and mentally. I took Kim's running clinic as well a number of her boot camp style classes and am a big fan of her class structure and discipline to teaching peeps how to work out properly and not just get it done.
Being a runner... who hates running.. this class has taken quite a bit of the frustrations and pain involved with running out and has given me a new perspective on the task. Though my 1 mile time didn't improve much, my 1 mile run was much more enjoyable and pain FREE!! I'd recommend the clinic as well as the classes to anyone at any skill level. Kim was great at keeping the class a learning experience and not a competition... which I really appreciated as we all know thats how many workout classes turn out.

Would totally do it again and still continue to frequent the boot camps! Highly recommended!!

I took Kim's running workshop recently, and it was really helpful! I HATED running before this class but enjoyed every other type of exercise. She managed to break down all of the essentials to running more efficiently and injury-free in a very easy to understand and implement way. I'm amazed at how quickly I went from hating running to now not dreading it and actually feeling pretty good while running. The class was totally judgment-free and low stress despite that fact that running experience levels were across the board. Kim is a very effective trainer and running coach. I'd highly recommend her workshop.

Kim is fantastic! I had been on the fence about personal training for a while, but I'm so glad I took the leap. I've been working with Kim for about two years now - she has options to fit any lifestyle/schedule, and you can always change it up. I'm doing a combination of online workouts I can do at my own gym (she makes them individually tailored just for me each week) and in-person sessions. Kim is a great motivator and listener, truly focusing on your own specific goals. She's very down to earth, easy to talk with, and is not intimidating at all (this was one of my original hesitations about personal training). I'm stronger and able to enjoy outdoors activities much more than I used to, and I also don't get bored doing any of Kim's workouts! I recommend Kim to anyone of any fitness level with any goals - she will get you there.

I have LOVED working with Kim. You can tell that she genuinely cares about her clients and loves her job. Kim focuses on injury prevention and will never push you to do something that's painful. With that said, she does makes sure you're challenging yourself. Prepare to be sore in the best way possible! I took two of her running workshops and my running improved so much that I've ran several marathons since. Also- she's just a very cool person that gets along with everyone!
