Started at Forever Strong just under a year ago as someone who had never lifted a single weight in her life, and I feel transformed. Jarvis is kind, encouraging, and highly knowledgeable, and the community of supportive and driven athletes around me have been inspiring and incredibly inclusive. Though I started with so little experience and negative muscle mass, I have felt the support and encouragement of all my fellow gym members and especially Jarvis every step along the way, and I can't believe how far I've come in hardly any time at all. I'm converted!

After a long hiatus from CrossFit, a friend finally convinced me to join Forever Strong—and holy shit, am I glad I did. After two-plus years working out here, I'm in the best shape of my life, I've made incredible friends, and I actually look forward to working out (in fact, it's hard for me to stay away). The owner is an incredible coach, the space is clean and inviting, the workouts are killer, and the community is welcoming. This place is essentially my second home now.

I was scared to join a gym like this - scared I couldn’t do it. Afraid I’d get hurt. But a good friend invited me and I haven’t looked back! The workouts are always very challenging and different; the coaches are knowledgeable, fun and encouraging; the community is friendly and supportive. I’m in my 60s and have never been so fit! Jarvis helped me develop a meal plan that supports my strength building. He and Jenna are excellent at modifying workouts so I can feel successful and avoid injuries. I love this gym!

I had purposely avoided "Crossfit" style gyms after a bad experience in my early 30's in a gym that focused too little on technique and employed coaches who pushed folks to the brink of injury. Forever Strong is not that gym. The coaches are invested in educating on proper technique and developing athletes' abilities as they work toward new / more advanced movements. They're also great at programming scaled workouts to benefit anyone and meet athletes where they are. I'm now in my 40's and in the best shape of my life thanks to Jarvis, Jenna and team!

Good people running a quality joint. I was new to this type of gym when I joined and they do a great job of meeting you wherever you are at in your fitness journey. Coaches are great and enjoyed the group of people in the membership. They have supported but small format/socially distanced classes and have home workouts for those who feel more risk during this weird COVID time.. Overall have done a great job with keeping people engaged.

I can’t say enough good things about Forever Strong. I am 56 years old and joined about three months ago. Honestly, it is the one of the best decisions I have ever made. The trainers work with you, one on one and in groups, so all of the exercises are understood and your form is correct. Everyone, trainers and members are super nice and motivating. When you enter, egos are left at the door and you become part of Team Forever Strong. Personally I feel more confident and strong. My workouts are something I look forward too and have become the best part of my days.

Small gym, but not limiting in any way. The workouts are challenging and you will be positively encouraged to do the best you can. And your "best" will continue to improve. Forever Strong is without a doubt the best gym I have ever joined. I have a fair amount of experience at other gyms around Portland, and I have never made so much progress so quickly as I have at Forever Strong. Jarvis and Jenna are phenomenal owners/coaches who clearly give this place everything they have, and it shows. For years I had been turned off by CrossFit-style workouts, but they make them accessible for absolutely everyone and the community is beyond supportive and uplifting. I have been very happy with how we've all navigated COVID as a gym community and haven't once felt unsafe while working out. Highly recommend!

I’m really good at joining a gym, and then not going after 6 months or so. For the first time in my life, this is not the case. I’ve been a member here for just over a year now, and I can’t stay away. The community is so welcoming, and the coaches are great at focusing in on technique and proper form. I have been a member at numerous gyms throughout the years. Big box gyms like 24hr fitness, small gyms like the Circuit and mid size gyms like Planet Granite. All of them adequate but not great. Forever strong blows all of those gyms out of the water. If you are looking for a place to truly become FIT I would give this place a try.

This is the best workout community I’ve ever been a part of! The coaches are knowledgeable, patient, and able to work with any skill level (I knew absolutely nothing about CrossFit or functional fitness training before joining! The members are extremely welcoming and supportive.) I feel very safe working out here during covid; Forever Strong is taking every precaution, including limiting class sizes to six people at a time. They also keep the garage door open for ventilation and every piece of equipment is disinfected between uses. Since joining I’ve noticed huge improvements in my energy and mood. I can’t recommend Forever Strong enough, they’re a fantastic addition to the Cully neighborhood!

Forever Strong FNL is a breath of fresh air. I’d been looking for a community/gym to help me get back into feeling healthy and stronger and had tried a couple other crossfit gyms over the last couple of years, but simply hadn’t found one that felt like a good fit. I happened to stumble upon their Groupon a few weeks ago and I’m hooked, I finally feel like I’ve found my place! They are supper welcoming and supportive and work with people at their individual fitness levels but definitely push you to continue challenging yourself. The workouts have all been awesome thus far and although I have a ways to go, I definitely feel stronger already. Forever Strong FNL is definitely a place I look forward to going to...even if the workout includes burpees!

I did a drop in while I was in town and really appreciated the style of training. The trainer focused on form and helped me modify the workout slightly to accommodate a current running injury . Would recommend and plan on returning on my next Portland trip.
