I have been going to this gym once or twice a week for 3 years using Classpaas. I truly love this place and it has been a vital resource in maintaining good health.

Today was the worst fitness class experience I have ever had. I have enjoyed having fun and feeling welcome with each of the at least 20 instructors I have encountered. Today I met the owner and it turned into a boot camp testosterone bro show. I feel like I need to share this experience because it truly was a gut punch to a place I always feel welcome, loved, and listened to. I highly recommend including this gym in your fitness routine but beware...

I thought their protest outside of the ice facility made a mockery of a serious subject. The kidnapping, torture, and illegal deportation of thousands shouldn't be protested with a jovial dancing event. And to then promote the business using it ? Gross. It's very performative, it's very nihilistic and cynical. It's illustrative of how the unserious influencer style rot in American mentality and culture runs deep.

Whoever thought that was a good idea should be ashamed, but I highly doubt this fell on the head of only one person. Multiple people had to sign off on that. Which is why I'm giving the business as a whole a bad review. Get real guys. Wake up.

I have been coming to Fulcrum about once a week for 2+ years and I'm very happy with my experience. I like that I am encouraged to challenge myself at my own level, the trainers are focused on form and safety, not machismo. If you come more often and push yourself harder, you will see more "results" - but for me, a manageable routine is more important, and I appreciate that this approach is accepted here.

I have been a member here for 2 years and I would recommend this place with no doubt.

I joined while dealing with a shoulder injury. I doubted if I can ever get back into shape, but this gym put me on right track again.

The coaches always accommodated my limitations due to injury when I started. I have been mostly doing the small group sessions with amazing coaches such as Eric, Sonia, Mason, Walter, Freddie, B, Shelby, Ian, Syd to name a few.

The exercises are a good balance of push vs. pull, upper and lower body. There is a lot of emphasis on correct form to prevent injury. Barbell lifts are done in small group sessions only while large group lifts are mostly dumbbells. Core exercises are always included in the routine to strengthen the whole body as well. You won’t feel a change overnight but persistence and perseverance will pay off.

Also, I love the diverse background of coaches. As a minority, I’ve always felt welcomed and included by all the coaches in this gym.

Kudos to Fulcrum and I will keep going to this gym as long as things stand as they are :)

I've been a member for around 1.5yrs and go on average 5x week. Before signing up for the membership, I tried multiple other group class style gyms in the Portland area. This one really stood out for the quality and challenge of workouts, knowledgeable, and friendly staff, as well as a good member atmosphere. I highly recommend it and have already had two friends join with me so far.

Fulcrum is an amazing program. Team trainng encourages results without sacrificing fun. If you are looking into gyms in the Portland area and/or want to try something different from your usual gym routine, you should definitely give Fulcrum Fitness a try. I was someone who had a solid gym routine, doing the same cardio and weight excercises every time I went. Once I tried out Fulcrum I found I was excited about exercising again. The classes are always different, there is a cycle of which part of your body you focus on, the FitPro's are all really great people who push you to your limits and always keep an eye on you to make sure you are in good form and staying safe. I feel myself getting stronger every time I leave class.

I started going to Fulcrum over 40 and overweight. I have always been intimidated by gyms and 'gym people', and I've never stuck to a fitness program for more that a month. Almost 3 years later, I'm stronger than I've ever been, and I'm still in love with Fulcrum. Their trainers are knowledgeable, attentive professionals.
