I would just like to say how amazing Ryon and Sean are at Peaceful Fighter! I started training 2 years ago and absolutely love it. They have always made me feel welcome and encouraged me to become a better version of myself through exercising and eating right. My self confidence has gone through the roof by learning that I can do anything I put my mind to. If your reading this and trying to decide if you want to give PF a try then ignore the 1 star review and base your decision on all the other 5 star reviews!

I had been looking for kickboxing, MMA, or self defense classes for my son and I to do together. I visited a few places, but the some places only did trainings for adults or only kids or my son didn't like them. The first day we met Ryon my son loved him, he told him he was his heroe!! He's a very laid back guy, makes you work while you're there, and cheers you on when you finally got a move down!! It gives my son and I something to look forward to during our day. Going to his class is the only reason he wakes up in the mornings. Totaly recommend this to anyone and everyone that wants to get a work out, learn a few moves or like myself just wants to build a stronger relationship with their child and create unforgettable memories. All that while getting in shape.

I've been training with Ryon at Peaceful Fighter for over a year and he's a very respectful and talented trainer. He's really passionate about my health and offers a me good balance of pushing me a little harder and respecting my training limits. I've recommended him to many other women friends and they love this gym too! Ryon is also generous with his time and trains people who may not have the budget to join. If you're looking for a gym to feel safe and comfortable and learn about the mechanics of boxing - Peaceful Fighter is the place to go!

This one of the best martial arts gyms I've trained at. Ryan has a very precise understanding of his art and after watching me for a short time was able to give me ways to emphasize my strengths and exercises to improve on my weaknesses. This is a structured personalization that I've never really encountered among other martial artists I've trained with and I was really pleased that I wasn't just given a generalized one-size-fits-all lesson.

I also have been really impressed with Ryan's emphasis on community building and how decent and respectful he is. It's a great space, the best in town I think and I shopped around for a while before finding Peaceful Fighter.

Always fun & educational. Very happy about my experience. Ryon is a great coach & is very willing to work with anyone, no matter their size. I have issues with numbness, & my size, & Ryon always makes sure to keep that in mind with each routine. Thanks Ryon, you're the best.

I have been with Peaceful fighter for about two months now and I have really enjoyed every class. You can tell Ryan really enjoys what he does and is either a very gifted teacher or all of his students are naturally talented, and from personal experience, my guess is the former. Every workout is fun, challenging, and you can feel the progression in your skill level. The classes are also very small and personal which is the way Ryan prefers it, This leads to more attention to detail in your form and prevents potential bad habits. If your looking for a class full of people doing punch combinations on the air and calling it a boxing class, then this probably isn't your kind of place. But, if your looking for a tight-knit group of people interested in fitness and overall health who are lead by a talented and humble instructor then this may be a great fit.

His philosophy of positive affirmation and self empowerment keeps you coming back for more. I never thought of myself as a fighter, however, I am finding out we all have a Peaceful Fighter inside of us waiting to be discovered.

After a looking for a boxing/MMA gym in Eugene for over a year to no avail, finding Peaceful Fighter was a lovely surprise! All of the members and trainers are incredibly welcoming and supportive. I immediately felt comfortable. Ryon, the owner, is a terrific trainer and wonderful person. He is very knowledgeable in MMA, self-defense, and overall health and fitness—tailoring workouts to each client’s individual needs. Ryon is patient, encouraging, and motivating. His support and determination during training sessions helped me feel more empowered, both physically and mentally—I noticed myself getting stronger in both realms.
I also really appreciate the way Ryon and the rest of the Peaceful Fighter team/members look after one another. It is very inspiring to see and something that I truly appreciated from the gym. That quality felt very unique to me when compared to other MMA gyms I’ve been to. Had I not moved away, I would absolutely still be going to Peaceful Fighter—probably more often than I should :)

That being said, I definitely recommend this gym to anyone curious or serious about pursuing MMA, self-defense, or wanting to lead a healthier lifestyle.

I have been training with Ryon at Peaceful Fighter for 3 months and it has been one of the best decisions I have ever made--for my health and peace of mind. Ryon's enthusiasm is matched only by his fitness knowledge and his whole approach to health and fitness is holistically refreshing; in a world dominated by "get super jacked" or "drop 50 lbs by next week" rheotoric, Ryon and his staff are a breath of fresh air. His focus is all about meeting you where you are and helping you get where you want to be--whether that's stronger, leaner, faster, better skilled, or all of the above. Workouts are customized and personalized. Group sessions and classes are never over-full and you get plenty of attention, plus there is great camaraderie. Having never worked with a trainer before (always too intimidated) I'm so glad that Ryon is the first for me and my partner. Every workout is different, engaging, and actually fun. We do regular strength training and conditioning with Ryon, learn boxing and MMA techniques from Ryon and Sean, and even learn gymnastics with Bulgaria's finest Svetlo (which will work your core and arms to the limit, believe me) . Best of all, we are seeing huge results. We are both slimmer, stronger, and more toned. This is not a place to go if you're looking for a chi-chi health club spa experience where the staff is disinterested at best, nor if you're looking for a boxing gym where the trainer treats you like crap. This is the place to go when you're ready to get serious about learning what kind of physical movement actually engages you, what gives you results, and what you enjoy--in a supportive, fun environment. The gym is basic, but that's because Ryon is really invested in teaching you how to get the most out of basic equipment, so that you can do it on your own too. (Don't worry, he has plenty of weight machines, too). In short, Ryon is the real deal. If you have struggled to find your fitness niche, try this out, it might be exactly what you're looking for. He's also really flexible, so you can just try out one session with him, which will give you an idea pretty quickly whether this it the right place for you. We are leaving Eugene soon and this is truly the only place that we will miss for real once we are gone. What are you waiting for? Go!

I've been looking for an MMA gym where I can feel accepted and part of the team for a couple years now. Being an openly gay male, learning to fight in a gym of straight ripped guys may be intimidating, but luckily that wasn't even the closest thing to my experience in Peaceful Fighter. Ryon, my instructor, is so full of love and acceptance that it just resonates through wherever he steps. MMA is an alpha male dominated sport however this gym allows every to participate in this sport. He even teaches free classes for kids on Saturdays. I implore anyone and everyone to attend no matter your experience. Its a great place to relieve some stresses or quite plainly get out aggression if needed.

This gym is the perfect example of strength! never have i meet a trainer who actually cares and puts his heart into each and everyone of his students.not only does this gym train and create strength, it builds you to become a better individual from within. this gym and the staff have something special, a touch of something unique that makes them shine and guides there students to grow bigger than any other gym i have seen. taking people and making their dreams come true it amazed me on my first day looking at an individual who had looked as if they have trained their whole life but only actually for 10 months! it occurred to me that this gym and people have heart! my best advice, if you're looking for a game changer and or to show you're strength in a way you could never imagine, this gym i have to say would be your best way to make that happen!

My son and husband have been going to the Peaceful Fighter gym for six months now. I have seen my son's confidence boost through the roof since attending. Ryon has an amazing energy that can break even the most shyest person out of their shell. I highly recommend this gym to anyone. His pay it forward class is one of a kind, he gives kids a chance who otherwise might not be able to once a week to do a good deed and recieve a free lesson. I believe this teaches our kids that even the smallest kind act can have huge rewards.

Rude, inconsiderate, and childish! They have absolutely no concern for the property in which they reside nor their neighbors and fellow tenants. They often leave large amounts of trash and beer bottles in the parking garage which is shared by other residents. They post frequent fliers inside the building door-to-door, and solicit tenants for donations (tenants of low income housing!). The owner will send his 10 year old daughter door to door asking for money, which is illegal. They are raucous, especially in the late evenings, and park illegally in the aisles of the parking garage. They host illegal keggers, asking for a door/cup fee, without OLCC permits, and they do not ID for minors. IMO, these folks are rediculous, and ruin any image that one with associate with martial arts and/or "peace."
