I enrolled a membership with this gym when they first opened this location about a year & a half ago, I ended up canceling because it was a complete mess.
I swore to never go back, because the counter staff were rude & lazy, the hours of operation were inconsistent, & so on so forth.

About a month ago, I decided to give this gym another chance. I can happily say they’ve improved immensely! They’ve hired new staff that are friendly, helpful, & provide great customer service, they’re also open 24/5 now consistently which I’m very pleased with. Keep up the good work!

Don’t go here, it’s mine. I love that there is always open equipment to use. No pool or sauna, but I don’t like them anyway. They do have eight different massage, chairs, two tanning booths and some other weird light, vibrating machine. Very clean also.

Great place to workout unless you into hard core body building. Tons of treadmills, stair climbers and bikes and weight machines. Only one leg press for free weights and lots of smith machines. No barbells and dumbbells only go to 75 pounds. This place has clean locker rooms and free lockers where you don't need a pad lock. Very clean and friendly staff and you can't beat the price. This gym is good for 95% of the population and you should not be wasting your money at any other place. I have some injuries so I've been at the gym for a couple of months but it looks like there is a new row of machines and they finally got rid of some of the cardio equipment which I'm glad they did because it was never being used and they needed more weight machines. After having a membership here for about a year or more, my only gripe is that some people are still hogging the machines and weights for too long. Stop taking your Instagram videos or tick tocks or whatever you're doing and focus on working out instead of just sitting there hogging the equipment. I don't have any photos because you shouldn't take photos in the gym.

This gym's TV channels are always about sports, movies, and programs. They've already started putting 24-hour channels with hate politicians. I spoke to the employees and they told me that they can't be removed. You're supposedly not a no-criticism, no-judgment gym.

Planet Fitness as a corporation should have most franchises have their gyms open on the weekends all day late hours weekdays if they can't but aim for 24/7 Weekends late is the time when I want to go the most, I don't know if it was the manager, short skinny light skinned but he was a bit of a smart talker I didn't appreciate, and a girl co worker. I had the most awful experience with one of your staff members, her name is Lynn. I cancel my account on July 22 and I was told that I was still able to come until August 17 so several times after July 22 I’ve been coming to this gym and never had a problem with this. Seems like the system wasn’t able to recognize me on my phone application so someone gave me a keychain to check in every time I come so I don’t have to have ask them looking through my account with my phone number and when I came last night one of your staff members , (Lynn )was distracted and She didn’t realize that when I scan the keychain the system was saying that my account was canceled so she realize it until like three minutes later she went looked for me into the bathroom and yell at me saying your account is canceled. You need to get out of here now. So I said it’s not canceled and I have the right to come here until 17 August and she said well I don’t care we’ll have to go check out that on the system so she gave me a really bad attitude, and embarrass me in front of all other people. So when she start checking on the system, she realize the system was showing many accounts because I have been member before several times and canceled several times so she was having trouble finding my account and she’s just said “you have several accounts. I can’t find you and I said: well that’s not my fault and when I said that she’s like: do you wanna work out or get out of here? Or you want me to call the police? and get out of here so when she said that I said why would you call the police? I’m not doing anything to you and you just like having these really bad attitude.
so she start saying : OK get out of here! Get out of here or I’m just gonna call the police!
so I didn’t want to keep arguing with her and she just looked really awkward in front of everyone. Everyone was looking at her with a confused face and Everyone look how she treated me and some people was just shaking their head. So I left because I think she was irrational and I didn’t want to give the embarrassed moment so I went to my car then she calls me 2 minutes later and says that she forgot to give me my ID came back for my ID and then I talk to this other girl name Ashley she was super nice and she kind of saved the day.
She hear what I had to say and also someone someone named Bill was there too and he came and apologize for her coworker Lynn attitude and I really appreciate that. I think if it wasn’t for those two members, I would say planet fitness is a terrible place to come to work out because of the stuff members, but I’m glad Ashley and Bill make my day a little bit better but I definitely think the attitude of Lynn It was terrible and even had the audacity to threaten me and try to intimidate me saying that she would call the police if I wouldn’t leave. I have proof that I paid my membership up to August 17 and I had all the rights to work out here this day and it was NOT my fault that she was distracted and wasn’t able to find my account when she was trying to find it and it was NOT my fault that the system was faulty or that she was incompetent to take care of the situation.
people with attitude like this is a shame and shouldn’t be working with customers.
Even some of the people that night was looking at her how she act and they came to me and say sorry for her attitude.
Personally, I would never come back to planet fitness in Aloha anymore Lynn treated me completely unfair, and I wonder if she threaten me to call the police is because of my last name is latino last name and maybe she’s thinking I’m this illegal Latina, because I am Latina with an accent or I am not sure why but definitely no one threatening to call the police just over a membership. I never was rude to her, I never was disrespectful to her in any way and I was just telling her that it was not my fault that her system was faulty and that she was not putting attention when I came through.

I showed up got my appointment with Austin. I was 5 minutes late and I TAKE FULL RESPONSIBILITY FOR THAT. (Life Happens) I waited another minute or 2. Austin said we have to reschedule because he needs the entire 30 minutes. He seemed irritated and was not nice about it either. When I asked to just do what we can in the time we have he said no, he needs more time. Funny thing is my friend was his appointment before me. He only took less than 20 minutes with her. Hmm weird….. His behavior is not only unprofessional but very discouraging. He said he has no time as I watch him walk out and leave. He had time and chose to leave. I’m looking for a new gym. It’s hard enough getting motivated.

I'm just going to cancel my membership and pay a little bit more and go to 24 hour fitness. This gym advertised when I started us 24 hours yet most of their days. They're not 24 hours and it pisses me off because I can't go to the gym because they're closed when I get off of work at midnight most days... Had I known this in the beginning, I would have never signed up for this gym. Other than that, the staff is great and it's mostly clean unless it's the end of the day because the staff can't keep up because the company has the clubs at such low staff and then pays their staff a very little wage.

I’ve gone to Planet Fitness for the last three years. My home location was the Raleigh Hills when it first opened. Before that, I was going to Murry. But this location is by far my least favorite. Sadly, this location is now thr closest to my house. The Front Desk team needs to get a real educational course on customer service. They’ve literally never greeted me. Never say bye when I leave. And when I’m forced to interact with them, there’s a few individuals that will intentionally stare at you with a blank look and give you at Best a nod when something needs to be acknowledged.

I brought my wife in a few times as my guest, And without ever speaking about the way, I’ve been treated there, when we left the gym she had said the same thing. The Front Desk is so rude. Every other planet fitness I go to they’re engaging and polite and motivating and will literally pump you up. This team intentionally makes you feel disrespected. I’ve quit even trying to look over and be polite anymore because their stares and blank looks on their face is all but too common.

I literally went and paid for a 24 hour fitness membership Recently Because of the piss poor attitude of their employees here. and even going there A handful of times I’ve gotten treated with dignity and respect. More than half of the team needs to be let go. Especially some of the regulars that work throughout the week during the evening. I’m not going to get specific on the type of person(s) That I am writing this review about. But let’s just say when a new employee begins work they have spirit and they’re excited and they’re polite and courteous. The regular staff here has never made me feel welcome and every time I go, I leave with the same feeling.

I’m not expecting somebody to jump up and down when I come through the door. But if they start with that tone when I’m brand new to this location and never work to improve it. They have to be doing it to others as well.

There is a few individuals that work late and an older gentleman that I’ve seen at other locations who is very courteous and polite. But nobody else that works at this facility should be able to stand behind the values that planet fitness goes by. The can-do, acceptance, and motivation. That every other branch does so well. In the other locations, even the manager is upfront and making sure that the customer service is delivered to the highest quality. I’ve gotten to know all of the others personally And they’ve always been great. This location is missing all of those qualities.

This location is actually overly crowded as well and has large population of The same type of demographic, Plus is missing some of the better equipment that other locations have.

Plus, when you see an employee of a gym, you expect them to be fit and trim and show the example of what there is to work for when you take fitness and the betterment of your health seriously. Nobody that works at the desk is fit. And their attitude is worse than their personalities. There is something to having a diverse team that shows acceptance for all walks of life.

Once they made a change in more than half of that upfront internal staff, I’ll take this review down.

Been at this gym for about 4 months now and things are good but are some minor improvements that could be done. Have a basic membership so I don't know anything about the spa room. Also, I don't shower at the gym, so I am not familiar with that part either.

On a positive note, I had an ear bud pop out and fall into the step mill machine. The front desk was more than helpful in nearly having to rip apart the whole machine to find it and get it out. Much Appreciated!

The gym and equipment there work well, always seem to be in order and the couple issues I have reported have been addressed by the next time I came to the gym.

My biggest problem is more on a corporate level where the app and any data from the machines can't be electronically transferred, and you have to put it in manually. How I wish the machines could have the workout data download straight to my phone. I do know that Apple Watches, and I hear Garmin, hook up to the machines which is great if you own one of those, but I haven't found anything else that will connect. The PF app is a bit of a pain. While you can put in information for each of the cardio machines, there is no place to put in information for the many weights or other workout equipment. The app only has a record tracker for "Weightlifting". So if I do sets on the back extension, leg extension, or any other machine, I have no place to record it in the app. Of course I can put it in another app, but it seems silly for PF to have a complete app that only lets you track some of the equipment in the gym. You should be able to track all exercises by machine type in one app.

For this gym, the only issues that I have seen are for supplies. This gym has repeatedly run out of paper towels to wipe down equipment. For weeks things are fine, then they are out for days. It would seem that ordering supplies like this should be easy enough to do so that you would never run out. How many rolls are used per week, order that +10 or 20%... Maybe it's the supply chain? Post COVID, wiping things down seems more important than ever now, so now being out of paper towels is kind of a big miss.

On a lighter note, this gym seems to run out of the grape candies which I reward myself with one or two after a workout. It's a real bummer when I am headed out and they aren't there :-( Keep the bucket full, gotta have the candy ;-)

I came to this location because it is closer to where I live but I wish they had the larger ellipticals like they do at the Beaverton MurryCrossing location on Teal. The other planet fitness in Hillsboro is the same; smaller, older ellipticals and cardio machines. I literally have to drive an extra 20 min just to work out.

I know that Gyms have a bad reputation for Customer Service and making it hard to cancel memberships. This location did the EXACT opposite of make it difficult. I believe the manager was named Garrett and he was PERFECT. He helped us with a smile and was fair and honest about every single detail while saving us a ton. the red light therapy and massage chairs were all filthy there wa hair all over the floor it was gross. i went to say something and the 'NEW' manager was rude and talked over me instead of letting me voice my concerns. this place is very mismanaged and unprofessional. worth the 10 minute extra drive to go to Hillsboro. i feel bad because Planet is wasting $$ to promote this location only to have rude employees ruin it. look at the previous reviews this is clearly a pattern.

The hours are wrong. They don't open until 5am Monday and when you call it says they close Friday at 12am. 24 hours is misleading. Showed up at 3:30am Monday and they were closed. Called later and the stated hours were different than online and what is painted on the window, very frustrating.

Editing to respond to owner. Your gym staff assures me they have escalated this many times and nothing has changed. I think it's time you, as the owner, respond with action to the multiple reviews about this problem and not refer us to your employees who don't have the power to resolve this.

Very clean facility with all the standard equipment a planet fitness would have. Never have had any issues with the staff and they've gotten to recognize my wife and I at this point. They're always friendly and helpful with whatever we might need. Can get a bit crowded and the app doesn't reflect this very well, but can't blame the facility if the corporate tech isn't working right. Sometimes they run out of drinks for after a workout which can be frustrating. Otherwise, great facility and great staff.

i signed up for PF believing PF offered group classes, but their “groups” are only up to 5 people. i was hoping for a different experience—big classes, engaging instructors, interesting exercises. additionally, perhaps most importantly, this gym didn’t have any women or gender diverse instructors, and i was uncomfortable attending the small format group classes with a man as an instructor. i checked with other PF gyms in the nearby area, same thing—no gender diversity in their instructors, all men. when i have checked on this gym’s class schedule more recently, it doesn’t appear they have any instructors or classes running at all (based on there being no posted schedule online for a few months). i don’t understand how to create my own workout routine, i felt completely lost at the gym on my own, and i didn’t find the experience at PF engaging to make me want to return and figure it out. i ended up forgetting i had a membership and forgetting to cancel it for months. i hope PF will make an effort to start investing in and diversifying their instructors, and investing in better group classes.

I just started going to planet Fitness, thought I'd get on my health kick again knowing that as we get older we lose muscle. I like that it's 24 hours, the machines are kept clean, the space is large, plenty of equipment and clean facility. The staff is nice and willing to explain how to use any equipment you're not familiar with. I was able to join for free through my Medicare Plan. I'm on my journey to fitness yaw. You need to come in, workout, gain that muscle back.

This is a nice club. They have a Black Card lounge that is pretty bougie, to include a cryo table, water massage bed, tanning and more. It has a HIIT area along with a stretching area. Over all, the free weights options are less but it offers tons of cardio equipment, cable and band weights. Tough to beat for the price per month.

The counter staff are rude & lack any customer service skills whatsoever. The only reason I signed up for this gym was because of the black card amenities & the fact that it’s so close to my house, but the lack of customer service really pushes me to the point of wanting to cancel & take my business elsewhere. Decent machines, good staff, I go in the early mornings (5 am on weekdays) so it's empty and I don't have to fight for machines.

This has also been a constant problem when the gym is supposed to be 24/5 and I and others arrive to wait in the car (or leave) until someone from staff reopens the gym. I don't know if it's a shift change or the night staff just leaves because they just want to go home but this needs to be changed right away, or change hours to reflect that at least 20% of the time you'll show up and the "24 hour on the weekdays" gym is closed.

Exactly as advertised. A no frills box gym with a great array of equipment. This isn't a power lifting gym, and there are no Olympic weights/barbells. But there is an excellent array of machines, dumbells, cardio equipment, and accessories.

The space is very clean, the staff is friendly and the general environment seems nice and accessible.

I go with a friend who has one of those VIP memberships. She can just text me a screen shot of the guest pass and I head right in, same as anyone else. Place seems clean and never too much of a wait for a certain machine even at 5:30 on weekdays. I like it. I’d buy a membership myself if I wasn’t so cheap! Signed up and got myself a black card membership at the beginning of this month. Never got a tour. Never got introduced to how the spa system worked. I got humiliated today when (Pamela ) came over and gave me attitude and approached me and my family in a really rude manner. (I worked at Popeyes with her and our boss happened to be my UNCLE ) HE fired her for stealing) now she feels the need to take her anger out on my family cause she got fired for using a customers credit card to purchase things online and it got traced back to her. Not only that but Ken(assistant manager) approached us with the same energy. It’s not the first time Ive had a bad experience with him and I see it’s not the first time someone is treated POORLY because of their ethnicity. Racism seems like a problem at this location. With that being said the morning shift is completely the opposite and has always treated us like family. SADLY We Won’t be attending this location or might cancel my subscription all together at this point.

Great gym, overall.
Pros:
There's a lot of options for equipment, and often 2 variations for exercises,
a great trainer -- though I wish it were busier to allow for a 2nd for more variety.
the place is clean
the staff and clients are cool
the showers are nice
black card membership rewards are worthwhile.
The machines are -- mostly -- organized into ares of the body they work (pecs, legs, shoulders, biceps, triceps) but some are oddly placed.

Cons:
1) the back extension machine keeps rocking. I've mentioned this before, but I think it was forgotten. Or the machine is off balance. (try using it, you'll see what I mean)
2) Only 1 leg press machine -- a 2nd would be nice for people who leg press over 300lbs -- and the weights are awkward
2a) There are 2 pegs on each side, one handles 45lbs the other is every other weight. So you're often trying to juggle some to get close to the weight you want. I wish they'd have a third peg, or maybe a separate rack.
2b) the rack is a weird 167lbs. If they could safely shave 2 lbs or add 3 lbs that'd make things easier.
3) There isn't a way to do an incline bench press without having to set up a smith rack, which takes a lot of work. The only machine that comes close works purely on the deltoids.
4) The weekend hours are a bit limited. I wish it was truly 24hrs, but that may happen if they add staff.

Update: treadmills are now usually fully functional- upping to 4 stars. One more recommendation would be to monitor the 30 minute circuit section. On a few occasions I’ve experienced people just hanging out hogging a machine or sitting and playing with their phones. It’s supposed to be a circuit and I don’t like having to ask people to respect that or tattle on them.

I’m writing this early opinion while being fully aware that it’s January (after PF advertising for New Year) and this place is brand new. So my review definitely may change later.

Pros:
clean, friendly staff, no body shaming, good selection of equipment

Cons:
parking lot absolutely sucks- bad (and purple/blue?) lighting and too small, especially when a bunch of F250s are sticking out the back of the spaces. I was almost run over at night already.
Broken equipment already- several treadmills out of service and many of the ones that do work have buttons and/or heart rate monitors that aren’t working.
The app that’s supposed to tell you how busy it is isn’t very accurate.
And lastly, sometimes the front desk is too busy to even check in. I think they should have at least one scanner available for check in at all times.

Overall it does the job and is a decent gym experience. But I do hope some of these kinks can be worked out.

Clean and new but is not open 24 hours on specific days, like what google and their app says. Please update. Very misleading. People like me actually want to take advantage of gyms being open 24hrs. Unfortunately I will cancel my membership.

Well I couldn’t figure out how to edit my original view so here we are again. First of I’m writing this in response to planet fitness’s response to my original review. I’m not looking for anything. I’m only looking to inform members of the locker room thefts caused by the inferior locks on the lockers that planet fitness know are an issue and have not informed there members of! Beware for not lock up your important belongings, the locks are not safe!!

Beware, this gym has had an issue with locker break-ins. Both the men’s locker room and women’s. Staff has not notified members of the issue. We were told by the staff that the lock’s have a flaw that is very easy to manipulate. My daughter was a victim of this and the outcome of theft can be devastating.

It just opened but already runs equally as smoothly as the Hillsboro location. I haven't had issues with it being too busy as of yet. One issue at Hillsboro was teenagers hanging out with their friends on equipment and not using it. Hopefully this doesn't become an issue here. This place is clean and has a great selection of equipment for most people, especially at the price point for their membership. I have not had any issues with downed equipment yet.

Someone mentioned the purple/ blue lighting in the parking lot as if it's the choice of planet fitness. Look at the other parking lot by Safeway and you'll realize it has nothing to do with planet fitness, it's just the lights that the landlord put in.

Over all great experience at a great price. Super close to my house compared to Hillsboro as well which is huge for me personally.
