Wow! What an experience this was. I was visiting family in Eugene and stopped by to get a massage. The black card spa was amazing. So large, luxurious, and clean! The staff was overwhelming nice and helpful. I think it was an employee named Slade who helped me check in because my scan code wasn't working. He made me feel so comfortable and even walked me around to show me where everything was. I WILL be revisiting this location on my next trip here!

I am stunned at the level of cleanliness at this location. We visited from Nevada and more than enjoyed our time. The staff is very sweet and helpful. They even showed me how to use the equipment that I’m not used to. Being a planet fitness member already, I am amazed that a 24 hour location looks and feels this pristine! Keep up the good work!

First I want to say, I LOVE this gym!! It’s big, the high ceilings are great! They don’t have those nasty toxic auto spray air “fresheners” that all of the other ones across the country that I’ve been in have. I would give this gym 5 stars if they had not gotten rid of the stretch cage machine that I came to this gym for. I’m disabled and this machine made it really easy to stretch every muscle in my body. I had been looking for one in a gym for a very long time and I finally found one in this gym. I was super excited! I left town to have surgery and came back and it was gone. The gym is huge and there’s plenty of room for it. Bring it back!! I’ll give glowing review once it returns!

I went in today after about 2 years and the difference is funominal.
The gym is completely reorgized.
All new cardio machines and lots of new equipment.
The gym is spotless. An absolute difference.
The new manager is amazing.
I'm so glad to be back.

Absolute scam! Do not associate with this company under any circumstances.
I signed up before COVID, and this company kept charging my bank account for months even though the facility was shut down.
I moved out of the country before the end of COVID and I have been asking them for 3 YEARS to cancel my account but they keep giving me this B.S. that I need to come visit the facility _in_person_ in order to process a cancellation. I can't! I live on the opposite side of the world!
I talk to the bank about it and they say they can't cancel the charges because the auto-withdrawal is done with my credentials... And I realized that the scam of this company was premeditated. They don't accept credit card payments (not when I signed up) because they know those can be blocked or reversed.

Completely unethical business. I can't wait for the class action lawsuits to catch up with them.

I’ve been going here for about three years now and have always had a good experience. There’s a great mix of ages and genders, and the community feels safe. The staff does a good job being friendly and keeping the place clean.

I do not have Black Card membership so I cannot speak to the benefits that are included with that membership at this gym. I have not used the showers at the gym either.

It’s worth noting that I’ve never used the lockers or left valuables visible in my car. It’s not because I feel unsafe here—it’s simply that wherever I go, I prefer not to leave my belongings at risk if I don’t have to.

NOT SAFE FOR WOMEN!

Last week a male member of the gym approached me and my girl friends while we were working out. Afterwards he was following us around the gym, lingering near us and not doing any exercises. I told staff about it and was told that he has a reputation for making women uncomfortable and that they’ve already been told they can’t do anything unless he harms someone. When I was leaving the gym he followed me to my car, watched me get in and drive away, then returned to the gym. I immediately called the front desk to report it and the staff told me he had watched the member follow me out and would report it to his manager.

Today while I was at the gym I saw the same member there and asked what happened with reporting it. I was told that management said they can’t do anything unless he harms someone. A different staff member told me openly that it was his last day and that he was leaving because management/owners do not care about employees or members. I cancelled my membership on the spot and will be looking for a gym that takes women’s safety seriously.

EDIT: I have seen Planet Fitness's response, and would like to add that my concerns were already brought to management. They were not interested in addressing the problem when it was reported privately and instead accused the employee of targeting the member who was following me around.

Worst planet fitness I’ve been to yet. My home club is the SE82nd Ave Portland. I only go for the tanning. This place had no lay down beds, no hybrid booths (red light/tanning combo). No facial lights. The booths aren’t equipped with the floor that vibrates. The rooms themselves don’t have a mirror nor proper chair. They also do not put out the little card that says your bed has been sanitized. Makes me think they just continually send ppl in without cleaning in between.

I went during the summer but had to change because of a new job that placed me in a different part of town. It’s on the EMX route, so it’s easy to get to. I was able to start and stop my membership online without any issues. As a blind/low-vision person, I found their machines very easy to use. I just wish they had more weight machines, such as the butterfly press and a hamstring curl machine that doesn’t require you to lie on your stomach.

I got a membership here a little less than a year ago and had a disgusting experience. While I was showering after a workout, it became obvious there were 2 people having sex in the shower next to mine. After they were done they walked through the entire locker room completely nude. To add to the disgust of this situation there had been the same used flossing tool on the floor of the locker room for a week prior to this. I decided not to write a review immediately and try to have it handled quietly. I called the gym and spoke to one of the staff members about it and inquire about making an exception to cancel my one year membership. I was told they can't do that and was given an email address for the location manager. I attempted to send an email and found out the email address I was given didn't exist. I haven't been to any Planet Fitness since. If you care at all about hygiene, get a gym membership literally anywhere else.

I actually enjoy coming to this gym, it has a good mix of experienced and unexperienced goers. I usually go during the weekday after work. I was very diagusted, however, at one of the comments i overheard from one of their associates. It was lockerroom talk, but none the less, im sure PF wouldnt want to associate with this mentality. He was bragging to a firefighter member, who asked him why he doesnt think about joining to be a firefighter, about why he loved his job at PF. He said he loves how easy it is to pick up ladies and that his nights are pretty much booked from all the girls he's getting. At first, i thought it was just a guy bragging about something that isn't real, until i saw it in person and how flirty this young man is. This is for all the girls out there, I don't know how transparent he is with the girls, but i couldn't stay silent about it. I dont know his name but i know that every member that's seen him, knows who I'm talking about.

Place is clean and well staffed. Somewhat a problem with "lunks" occupying machines for great amounts of time as well as people sitting on machines using their cell phones. Makes it difficult to navigate your workout.

Update: The Eugene Oregon staff is by far the worst at making sure the 30 minute workout isn't being occupied by one person on a single machine while doing reps. I've been a member of PF for many many years and by far they are the worst.

Also don't complain, they take it personally making the ones that use the facilities as their signs indicate marginalized.

Please allow me to help anyone that would like a truly honest opinion about Planet Fitness location West 11th. I have never been more satisfied with a business, the staff and the equipment are top notch 👌 and very clean especially for the very low cost of membership. Now we can only control our own actions and reactions. That said if there is some members that annoy or engage in classless or weird behavior it is not the gyms falt and as adults of class and respect we deal with it and ignore those actions when you act out they only win. Thank you Planet Fitness for your Judgement Free and positive atmosphere. Being a homeless man I get enough unfair and unjust treatment by the community but I always feel confident and respected when I enter my Gym please thank the hard working staff they are wonderful again Thank you.

If I could give 0 stars I would. They withdrew funds from me for a full year after I cancelled my membership. Per their policy in Oregon you have to go in person to the club or mail them a letter. So in February of 2024 I mailed them a letter wanting to cancel my membership. I called a couple of weeks later and the man I spoke to on the phone stated he just got it in the mail and it would be cancelled. Fast forward to January of 2025, I reviewed my bank account and found that Planet Fitness has been charging me ALL ALONG. Over $300 which is A LOT of money. When I reached out to the General Manager Erica she said that because they dont have record of it, and because their "policy" states as such, they wont reimburse me ANYTHING. I provided proof of the initial letter, AND had to provide a NEW letter for them to cancel my membership now. Since January I have followed up with the same manager twice, and no response until today. She gave me the response of "we must remain consistent with our policies." I'm sorry, I didn't realize your policy was to take my money with out asking. I have an open investigation with my bank on disputing the charges, as well as currently filing a claim with the Department of Justice, and the BBB. Furthermore, the facilities we ALWAYS GROSS. Machines broken, or bathrooms just FILTHY. But HEY, they are a BIG CORPARATE company and only care about the members who just let them do what they want.

Planet Fitness has truly redefined customer service… if by service you mean dodging calls like it’s a sport and charging more than the contract because the math is just a suggestion, I guess? Calling their location to get a straight answer is like trying to contact a ghost, if the ghost had a part-time job hanging up on people, before even saying hello, four times in a row. And the staff? Charming human furniture. What is even their job, aside from babysitting? Ask the most basic question about a machine and you’ll get a shrug that echoes across the gym. Ask about billing and you’ll get a blank stare that says, “We don’t do that here.” It’s less a fitness center and more of a purple daycare where the real workout is trying to get a straight answer. But if you enjoy shady billing, unhelpful employees, and corporate gaslighting wrapped in a no-judgment bow, this is your place. Come for the cheap membership. I’ve been to a lot of gyms over the years, but this Planet Fitness location takes the cake for being the most uncomfortable and downright hostile place to work out. They advertise “No Judgment,” but the reality is far from it. It’s actually the most judgmental, unfriendly environment I’ve ever experienced.

Here’s the kicker: they literally pay for security to patrol the parking lot and harass people who sit in their car for even a few minutes. Whether you’re finishing a protein shake, replying to a text, or just decompressing before or after your workout SECURITY will tap on your window and pressure you to leave. It’s aggressive, unnecessary, and frankly, creepy. Not to mention, it’s not exactly welcoming when you’re trying to build a healthy routine.

We are touring the USA and have stopped at many PF across the nation. This one in particular I had to give 5 stars to. On 03/15/25 the girl with black hair and white hat gave the most welcoming hello yet and a very nice "have a great day" as leaving. The equipment was clean and in working condition. The showers were clean. The parking lot had "No overnight parking" sign but we were not asked to move our travel Van. I assume it was due to out of state plates with no obvious attempt to stay beyond this mornings workout. Great PF.

I’ve been going regularly for a couple years and I’m a little conflicted on how to rate this gym. If the price of membership wasn’t considered, I’d probably give it a 3 stars. On the plus side, it’s got a decent selection of strength and cardio machines, the facilities are almost always clean, it’s sometimes busy but never super packed, and the staff have always been very friendly. On the minus side, it’s fairly barebones - no pool, basketball/tennis/racquetball/etc courts, equipment is wiped down with disposable paper towels instead of reusable cloth towels, broken equipment often goes a couple weeks before being repaired, the locker room is pretty barebones - no laundry option, no complimentary soap or toiletries like at some other gyms, and while I’ve never felt any kind of intimidation vibes in the weights area, it also lacks friendly vibes - not really a good or bad thing imo.

However, I can’t ignore how inexpensive membership is when comparing this gym to others. The price of basic membership is EXTREMELY reasonable. I think $10/month the last time I checked. There’s also an upgraded membership option, which is what I have, and allows me access to some extras like hydro massage chairs (which I love) and tanning beds (I’ve never used), but best of all it allows me to bring a guest with me when I go to the gym. I have 3 friends I regularly invite and none of them have to pay for a membership as long as they go with me as a guest. The upgraded membership is a little over $20/month, which is still very reasonable, especially if you take advantage of the perks.

So, 3 stars for the facilities itself, and 5 stars for the reasonable rates, averages out to 4 stars.

I can't believe how dirty this place has gotten. They let the homeless come in and use the shower facilities, which I don't care. The problem is those people don't clean up after themselves, and the gym doesn't clean up afterwards either. I was going to take some pictures this morning of the men's bathroom but not appropriate. The amount of hair and grime on the floor is absolutely disgusting. The amount of dust and grime around the equipment is also getting out of hand. They need a full time cleaning crew to clean. They can't expect the one person at the counter to make sure people are checking in to clean the facilities too. They wonder why people get sick.

February 21, 2025 - This morning in shower stall I used, I thought there was some dirt. No biggy. As I was showering I noticed those black dirt pieces where moving. I looked closer and it was little black worms 🪱 or some kind of parasite. Disgusting. I let someone know about it, hopefully it gets cleaned.

As a flight attendant, I use gyms all over the US many other planet fitnesses along with other gyms. I have to say this Planet Fitness is the cleanest most well ran planet fitness I’ve been to in the country! Erica the manager works right along side with her hardworking friendly employees to ensure the cleanliness and safety of this gym. As an example see the photo of Jill and employee scrubbing the showers. They do this several times a week from what I can tell, not just spraying down the shower but literally in the shower scrubbing it. I would feel confident showering in the showers, thank you to West 11th planet fitness, staff, and manager for keeping this gym in tiptop shape. 10/10 recommend pallet fitness on W11 in Eugene Or.

This gym is ok but the weights only go up to 75 lbs. It closes at 10pm on a Friday night. No bench press no squat rack. No pool or sauna and honestly the staff is uneducated and a few of them are kinda rude. Everytime I asked a question the red headed guy would look at me all snobby and check my membership like I snuck in or something. Very rude.

Be careful about their fees - staff have no power over refunds. Upper management needs to step their game up to support customer service. The in house staff is kind and helpful but have their hands tied. I signed up for a month and wanted to cancel my account well before my month was up to not be charged for the next month and annual fees. I was assured in person that my card was not saved on file so no additional charges would be put on my card. I was charged another month and the annual fee. I only saw when checking my bank statements. Since it was in person that I got the false information, no paper trail/ notes on my file they said they cannot do anything for a refund. Very disappointing. They blanket contract cases and management does not have the resources to support the customer. Make sure you cancel and sign a cancelation document to cover yourself from their big corporate contracts.

Planet Fitness prices have gone up considerably and become less of a value for sure. This time last year to sign up was $10/ mo + 45 annual membership.
You could cancel anytime and rejoin at no extra fee as long as it was within a year.
It's now $15 a year plus the $45 annual...but you can't cancel now. Which means, if you stop going in the summer because you're more active for instance and don't need the gym, you're still responsible for the whole year!
It's just one more thing.

I signed up under a promotion that had no annual fees and less than a year later, I downgraded my membership under the assurance that everything in my contract would remain the same except my lowered monthly rate, but then I was charged a $49 annual fee. I called and was assured that this was incorrect and they agreed to issue a refund that would arrive within a week, but did not. I called back and then they said they “couldn’t issue refunds” and they’ve never heard of a contract without annual fees even though it is clearly in my contract. The gym equipment and facility is great. 3 Stars though right? The showers get sprayed out a few times throughout the day which yes is great! Shower curtains though? Disgusting and slimy with mildew. Having it rub against my shin was a completely disgusting feeling. The curtains look like they have never been scrubbed and sanitized. No photos obviously because they are awesome and don't allow photos in the locker room for safety.
Update, it took me complaining directly to 3 different people! The third gal went and cleaned them herself and then told me that they are trained to only hose out the showers. The curtains apparently are Not a worry of theirs but I feel it's important to those of us using them and running nasty mildew to the floor of the showers. They were only cleaned the one time after repeated complaints. The gal who cleaned the curtains is no longer working here (can you really blame her?) so doubtful they will ever get cleaned again! Yes, by now they are gross again so take water shoes with you or risk slipping on the mildew floors. It's almost September now and no regular cleaning schedule has been made to get the curtains weekly cleaning (daily cleaning is obviously out of the question when they have only cleaned them once in almost 9 months!!! Most of you probably have nasty bathrooms at home too!!! So from 3 stars to 1 because you all are creating a health issue to anyone who steps into a shower. I give it two stars because at least for most of the time the equipment is maintained but that's where the benefits end....
This gyn is packed from the moment it opens till dam near 9pm. Great for them bad for everyone else. Especially during the summer since the school kids get free entry. I'm glad they are helping out the community but it feels like it is at the expense of members who have to pay to use the equipment. Needless to say as soon as a better place opens I will be glad to not return to planet fitness.

This is my 3rd Planet fitness in a 3rd state. i can say by far this is my favorite i’ve been to. the layout itself is open, machines are well maintained, and they got the incredible perk of hydro massage. being in a small college town, it can get busy during school. sometimes it’s hard to get time on weights when groups crowd around them, i feel though you’ll find that anywhere.
despite how busy it can get, everyone is friendly, respectful, and the staff have always been super helpful.

I was racially profiled for the first time in my life at this establishment. The workers chose to take the side of a “Karen” who lied and told them I was on FaceTime, when I wasn’t. Mind you the lady who lied, had cussed me out in the bathroom because my phone rang.

I was then confronted by a female worker, who had an attitude and rolled her eyes at me. I was asked to leave without even being able to tell my side of the story. I felt very uncomfortable and felt like I was being victimized as a person of color.

I definitely will not be coming to this establishment anymore. Terrible experience. Workers have attitudes and don’t want to hear both sides of the story before jumping to conclusions. I am a black card member and will definitely cancel my membership after this.

Large, clean, and lowest fees of any gym. However, there are no squat racks and the dumbbells only go to 75 lbs.
Don't take anything valuable inside. Theft is a problem. My wallet was stolen from my locked locker.
Edit: I spoke to a worker immediately when it happened and a self-identified manager later that day.

I went to Planet Fitness for the first time while on vacation. When I walked in and went over to the weights I noticed there were no bench presses except for ones with a smith machine. I’ve never been to a gym where there isn’t a regular bench press. 2ndly they did not have even 1 squat rack. Then when I looked up on the wall there was a ‘Lunk’ alarm with the definition of what a ‘Lunk’ is. To keep it short it was making fun of people who take weight lifting seriously - as I do. I was immediately taken aback by this Lunk Alarm. On another wall it said ‘Planet Fitness = no critics’ and on another it said ‘You belong’. Yet Planet Fitness was critiquing people they call Lunks and I certainly did not feel like I belonged after reading their walls! For a gym that claims to be inclusive of everyone Plant Fitness is not at all. At the gym I regularly go to, all are welcome: from the serious weight lifter to the person new to lifting weights to the cardio lover. Shame on Planet Fitness for excluding a group of people! I will never step foot in a Planet Fitness again and will let everyone know how offensive Planet Fitness is to a whole group of people!

Owners and Managers- I would advise you talk to your employees (morning of 6/21/24) about staying up front behind the counter so they are available for customer service, instead of disappearing together in the break room for long periods of time.

I enjoy working out at this gym because the price is great, it's clean, and the staff is wonderful. It feels like a safe space for women to work out without being harassed, and they have a diverse clientele. The owner needs to update it, though, because its a bit run down. The machines seem worn out and it's not unusual to see the same machine unusable for days. I've worked out at other Planet Fitness locations around the country and all of them have updated machines. The machines at this gym are super basic and don't have any of the bells and whistles that other Planet Fitness locations have.

I have actually been going here for a while. I need physical therapy for my disabilities and for $23 a month, this place is perfect! The physical therapy places charge my insurance, but if something happens and I miss an appointment and can't call in at least 24 hours ahead, that is a $75 fee out of pocket. I knew with my health issues that wasn't feasible. They have lots of top notch equipment and they usually aren't very packed except right after work on weekdays around 4 PM to 6 PM... even then it still isn't hard to get a treadmill or most of the machines, they always have cardio machines open.

Spare yourself the hassle! If you move and cant afford the membership anymore they will not allow you to cancel without going into the store. I haven’t lived in Eugene for over a year and all of a sudden get charged 40 dollars out of nowhere. Then when you call them to cancel they don’t allow you to. Stopped off here before leaving Eugene. This was one of the two local locations. Gym as always is well equipped and plenty of available machines. Showers were okay with plenty of hot water. One shower was missing a head though and the other needed some work. Overall a decent place.

Nice facility, but what club does not accept cash (legal tender, btw, per federal law) for a yearly membership, a check, cashier's check, or autopay by credit card? Demanding bank account and routing number not only exposes the member to identity fraud and unagreed fee increases, it is a clear ploy to disallow the cancelation of one's membership if justified.

Really happy that we got a membership here. Wife and I bought the black membership which allows us to bring two kids with us. When the youngest turns 13, will get the oldest the base plan. The facilities are kept very clean and they have what you need for cardio and strength. It is very rare that we wait for any equipment.

The staff are very friendly and attentive. My ONLY complaint is the constant fluctuation of the water temperature in the shower. It doesn't matter what time of day. The toilets flush and the water temp will go down with every flush until it's ice cold then start rising with every flush until it reaches boiling hot. And it cycles like that the entire time!

It is ridiculous to cancel a membership, don't sign up. They had to put things into place in CA to stop their predatory business practices because it shouldn't be difficult. Facility is good, not great. Lots of machines, nice perks for black card members. The bad: staff is terrible. I have had to wait for them to set me up on a chair while they're on their phone behind the service desk. They're being paid to be on their phone, management should not allow this. Showers are constantly dirty, no matter when. Had the opportunity to go to the Corvallis gym; way better. Eugene could actually learn a thing or two from there.

Want to update. Nothing has changed. Some new staff that learned from the old staff so customer service not great. On their phones too much. Have to wait for them to be done on their phones before they help you with anything. Maybe they put their phones away when their at work. Just a thought.

50LB EZ curl bar has been MIA for a couple months. update, I left my keys and ear pod case by a machine and walked out. Came back in and my keys were there but someone swiped my ear pod case. Be sweet if they ended up at lost and found, doubt they will(at least they didn't take my keys..)

A planet fitness, is a planet fitness through and through. This location however has very, very good. The equipment is always clean. The staff are very helpful and the environment is so accepting. I think anyone starting their fitness journey would have a fantastic time starting here. It is very rarely crowded and always has lots of cardio equipment available.

This is a beautiful, well-kept facility. The reason I deducted a star was because of the plumbing issues. The water bottle tap is out of order, as are 2 of the showers in the men's locker room. Plus the water in the shower went from barely warm to cold.

Decently managed location... I've been to a few around the country. Clean, slightly worn out machines and massage beds. Friendly staff. Some clientele forgo showering, or basic hygiene practice, which can be uncomfortable. Not sure how the staff handles that...
UPDATE: I've been coming here for 2 months now. Not much has changed. The machines are consistently broken (2 of the 4 steppers are always broken. The same one has been broken for weeks). The padded covers are worn/torn on A LOT of the equipment, making wiping them down useless, and very unsanitary and gross (the sweat just soaks into the padding). I have a free trial at a gym down the street, and am looking forward to a hopefully fully functional, clean gym. Sorry PF, the lack of motivation to keep your gym desirable, when your members are paying between and 10 and 30 bucks a month, is sad.
