Working out with Janan has brought such a positive change to my life! I have never liked working out but she has helped me develop a program that I look forward to doing. I have been training in her gym and lifting weights at home with Janan's weekly guidance for about 6 months now, and the progress is quite noticeable. I came to Janan about six months ago with no clear goals except to get fitter. I can't overstate what a profoundly great decision this was. Physically, mentally, spiritually, I feel and look very different from those before times, and I know that I've built up a foundation of habits and muscle tone that will carry me through the rest of my life. Lifting first, yes, but also the subtleties of diet and rest and all - Janan is a wizard with all of it. Plus just a really cool person I've enjoyed hanging out with. As a mom who tends to take care of everyone else before myself, I need accountability and flexibility but don’t have time to waste, and this is the best money I’ve spent on my health and well being in a long time. Janan is simply the best! The amount of knowledge she has a about anatomy and the body is pretty incredible and single handedly helped heal me from a hip injury. I love Strut Fitness! I have been working out with Janan for several years. I attend the boot camp classes which are held in Woodstock Park during good weather and inside during the winter months. She is an amazing instructor, and always caters the class to meet the needs of her trainees. I won't lie - classes are difficult at first. You will feel tired and sore. Your limits will be pushed. You might even puke (not really - but I came close!). However, as the weeks go by, you really do start to feel stronger and tighter. You get better at the core work. You learn different ways to work out on your own. She also gives great health and food tips as time goes on. I highly recommend giving it a whirl and you will be hooked!

Janan is amazing to work with!

I truly trust her judgment based on what I have witnessed and how she works with me. Even before I started personal training sessions, I attended a class.

One of my first classes, before we got out of the warm up she stopped the class as asked one of the ladies attending if she suffered an injury on her left leg... Surprised the gal said yes. Janan quickly informed her how to modify the move and her form to accommodate of for her injury, while working on strengthening the muscle group. Then followed up with some advise on other exercises after hearing the gals story on what happened and how old the injury was.

This was all done very professionally and without the client initiating the conversation. Which I think speaks volumes if a trainer is actually watching their clients and their knowledge of body autonomy and kinetics.

In addition, her personality and how she conducts class is really comfortable. Plus if you get on her email list for her classes, you will never be disappointed about the random picture she includes with an inspirational saying, or even just good advise! I love it!

I highly recommend STRUT fitness. Try at least 3 classes to see what it has to offer, Janan is really great about mixing it up!
